YES👋
thanks for the heads up!
Picnic at Hanging Rock is pure madness—just chills.
Dead Poets Society —so romantic, heartbreaking, and poetic... basically a love letter to books.
The Truman Show—it’s like the misery and poverty of Big Brother, but Jim Carrey is absolutely brilliant!
Green Card—I've seen this on ABC a thousand times... but I'll forgive myself for watching it just because Mac dowell is stunning and Gerard is one of a kind.

No matter what anyone else says or how much critics trash it, this will always be my absolute favorite, most beautiful, and best movie ever!🙏 🙏 🙏

Nice work!
But seriously, how many people are actually going to sit through all four movies in a row? I haven't owned a VHS in ages. Honestly, editor, this feels like another one of those pointless moves—like airing brilliant old classics on Saturday morning at 8:00 AM. They used to run a bunch of films by Billy Wilder, the absolute genius, whom I could watch any time, but I’ve never seen a single movie at dawn on a Saturday.

And that selection of Spielberg's is gold because these are his first four films before he became a household name. These are the ones where raw talent hasn't been tainted by Hollywood compromises, hits, or flops yet.

You're spot on.
They used to run Charlie Chaplin, Wilder, Humphrey Bogart, and tons of other beautiful classics on Saturday mornings, but I don't think anyone (not you, and definitely not me) has the energy to watch that stuff early in the morning...

But hey, what can you do?
That's why "runaway bride" and all those various versions of modern junk stay at the top of the charts.

It's a good thing they didn't mess up these cycles on Sundays too, starting something like Woody at 3:45 AM....

Nice, nice. Very much so. It’s an appropriate term, really—perfect for those of us who are crusty old neurotics (and I include myself in that group quite proudly 😬). My only gripe? Four titles at once feels excessive. Aside from my own waning attention span, it’s just too much clutter; there's such a massive jumble here that nothing is likely to actually stick in your memory.

Regardless, if we're talking about my personal favorites—based on mood, atmosphere, and all that jazz—they would be Picnic at Hanging Rock and The Last Wave. There’s no other way to put it: sometimes you just have to take a risk and go for it... 🙂

...this is a bit off-topic, I know—but is anyone by any chance recording this? It feels like I’ve been staring at a blank screen all night and haven't caught a single thing...😢

Should I head out or just stay in and watch Steven Spielberg? 🙂
Such a brutal dilemma

Hey Larry Martin11, my buddy Di filmed the first two, but mine is just sitting around on VHS... if you're actually interested, hit me up. My films are hitting theaters in New York middle of next week.

Happy watching, everyone! Enjoy... 😉

The Last Wave - I didn't really vibe with this one.

Picnic at Hanging Rock - 00/10 👎 Total snooze fest. It looks gorgeous on screen, sure, but it was just plain boring. 👎

The Plumber - 00/10 Nothing to write home about.

The Cars that Ate Paris - Haven't really gotten around to watching it. (Plus, it looked kind of lame anyway).

The way they filmed The Blair Witch Project reminds me a bit of The Last Picture Show. It’s a little slow at times, I'll admit, but those first thirty minutes are honestly so atmospheric...
