I’m not really a huge critic, but I might give this a look just for the solid action sequences.

It wasn't even localized into American English properly. They didn't even bother translating the names of the Transformers, so in the movie you get Optimus Prime, Megatron, Ironhide, Jazz, Bonecrusher, Frenzy, and so on, rather than some weird translated versions...

Plus, they didn't translate any of the other stuff related to Transformers -- The Cube, Allspark, Cybertron... everything else stays in the original English, since it isn't Japanese or anything...

Once again, the people in charge of the subtitles at AMC Theatres have proven they are absolute idiots. There were several moments throughout the movie where it happened, and then right at the end, about two minutes in, the subtitles jumped ahead by 15 seconds. It was incredibly irritating. You get what might be the biggest movie of the year hitting theaters, and they still manage to screw it up.

According to this, Transformers is scheduled at AMC Theatres for May 7th, yet I can already book tickets for Monday, July 4th:

Just walked out of AMC Theatres, and man, that movie was just... whoaaaa...
It was honestly so good. Look, I wouldn’t call it a cinematic masterpiece or anything, but you won't be bored for a single second, even with it running nearly two and a half hours. The special effects are top-tier, a solid 10/10, and the sound design is incredible too. Plus, whenever things quiet down from the action, the humor really hits. So yeah, seriously, shut down your computer and get to the theater—it is totally worth it.🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏

Just walked out of AMC Theatres about an hour ago, and honestly? That movie was incredible. Not a single minute of boredom to be found. Transformers rules.

Great visual effects, but the story itself was pretty mediocre. As for the characters, they really missed the mark—good old Bumblebee (the Volkswagen version, not that Camaro guy) is nowhere to be seen, and even Optimus Prime feels a bit lost without his trailer. Meanwhile, the Decepticons feel totally hollow, especially Megatron and Starscream. We didn't even get Soundwave.
A solid 5.5/10.

I’ve got a quick question for everyone who’s seen both Transformers and Top Gun. I would honestly bet my life savings that if you listen closely to the Transformers movies, you can almost hear Maverick's voice—you know, Tom Cruise—popping in just to say, "something in 20 seconds."

The movie looks solid enough—people who actually sat through it seem pretty happy with it—so I’m just waiting for my turn to catch it.

Watched the movie yesterday... action was alright. Effects were mind-blowing (maybe an Oscar?)

The plot has holes and logic gaps (typical American movie) - but then again... it's a movie about giant robots that turn into cars..

Give it a watch.
