Which actors have let you down?

Ray Liotta. Not exactly my favorite guy personally, but he was incredibly convincing in Goodfellas. Then you see him looking totally desperate in Guy Ritchie’s Revolver. The whole thing was just pathetic, sad, and a massive disappointment...

De Niro... while he delivered powerhouse performances in classics like Taxi Driver, Goodfellas, Raging Bull, Casino, and Once Upon a Time in America, he really let me down with those subpar flicks like God Bless, Showtime, Meet the Parents, and Meet the Fockers.

Jean Reno... also a phenomenal actor, but only when he's working in French cinema. 🙂 I honestly don't see why he even bothered with Rollerball or Da Vinci's Code. 👎 Other than that, the man is a genius...

Al Pacino... he’s also lost his way a bit over the last few years, churning out a lot of mediocre stuff—S1m0ne, and that secret agent training movie with Colin Farrell... the only one worth mentioning is Insomnia. 👍

These three are actually my favorite actors, and look, every stellar career has its blemishes, but still...

On the flip side, if we're talking about people who never possessed actual talent, Keanu Reeves definitely stands out. He's a desperate case; it seems there's no saving him, no matter how great the director or the script might be... 😬

Keanu Reeves is trash too, though he was alright in Point Break or Dante's Peak. Otherwise, he's bad, and The Matrix Reloaded and 3 were just painful...

Honestly, I’ve just been feeling pretty let down by the acting these days—both the men and the women.

Not sure I totally agree. DiCaprio was decent in "Gilbert Grape," "Sorrow," and "Basketball Diary," though "Titanic" wasn't even that great. Hartnett was good in Sofia Coppola's "The Virgin Suicides," and while you might have a point about Kutcher, I actually liked "The Butterfly Effect"...

P.S. maybe watch a few more movies before you start hating on actors😉

Look, here's my take... I've actually sat through all those films. Personally, I thought Leo was good in "Gilbert Grape," but that's really the only one for me. As for Josh and Ashton, my opinion hasn't changed. The movies themselves are fine, but their acting mostly boils down to "look how good I look." To be honest, I don't think they belong in this profession because what they do on screen feels like something anyone could pull off if they just stood there and looked pretty.

De Niro is just hopeless when he tries to do comedy. For some reason, he seems convinced he’s a comedic genius, but it always ends up being the same old thing—some goofy facial expression with his jaw hanging out. Maybe someone should have told him...

Francis Lawrence was my biggest disappointment when I moved—he actually promised he'd show up to help me haul boxes, then just never showed.

Juliette Lewis—goodness, what has happened to her? In *Cold Creek Manor*, she honestly looks just like Elizabeth Taylor—it's quite startling, I guess. 🙂

That’s what I call pure disappointment. But honestly, you almost have to forgive him when he looks that scrawny and lifeless.
Anyway, I’ve noticed that half the posts here aren't actually expressing disappointment—which is what should happen after feeling that initial rush of excitement—but are instead just constant, baseless hating on some actor. It feels pretty pointless to me.
For me, nothing hits quite like the disappointment of seeing someone like a washed-up celebrity appearing on a reality show about cleaning up trash. Someone really needs to explain to people that there is nothing more degrading than that, especially when you're broke. I even saw a certain local news anchor on a similar show today, and apparently, they're still making appearances on late-night talk shows too.
God help them.

Basically, that first sentence was supposed to be a response to Frank Sinatra, though I didn't quite manage to make that connection clear enough.
