Honestly, it’s all just whining these days. Every sensitive parent and moral guardian is complaining about too much violence in movies and games, even pushing for censorship—which basically means we won't be seeing Sharon Stone naked in Basic Instinct anymore. But let's not get bogged down in that. Instead, let's talk about what actually matters: what are the most brutal, intense, bloody, and violent scenes ever put to film? And if you can, please include some graphic images, just to filter out the softies who can't handle this kind of stuff. 😈
It's predictable, I know, but my pick for the best violent scene has to be from Evil Dead 2. That bloodbath in the basement when the witch grabs that guy and drags him down into the dark...

I can't help but feel this subforum is becoming far too niche. The trash section is getting incredibly active lately.

You’re just jealous because you didn't think of it before I did. 😈 😬 Besides, there aren't even any new threads worth reading—not even the "former" Hercule Poirot has checked out that massive recent poll on Full Metal Jacket vs Apocalypse Now. 😁
And this doesn't necessarily have anything to do with trash movies. 🙂 Action flicks are full of violence, even the romances involving characters like Nurse Betty. That scalping scene is basically the only reason to watch the film...

Thinking about the level of violence... honestly, even today, I still wince when I remember MISERY—those wooden boards between her feet and that moment Kathy Bates snaps a leg with a sickening *CRACK*. It was brutal, man, and terrifyingly realistic. I could practically feel my own bones creaking 😬

Not everything needs to be a bloodbath to work 😛

Braindead, the entire ending. A house full of "zombies" and a lawnmower 😁

As far as mainstream movies go, the first thing that pops into my head is that scene where they beat up Patricia Arquette in True Romance.

Oh, right—and every time Wile E. Coyote outsmarts himself, only to end up plummeting into a canyon under a massive boulder.

northerncrane4 said:Yeah, exactly. Every single time that Road Runner outsmarts the Coyote, he ends up tumbling into a canyon with a massive boulder dropping right on his head.

And honestly, the rock doesn't even need to fall. It’s enough when the poor guy realizes there's absolutely nothing beneath him, gives one pathetic look straight into the camera, and then just falls, and falls, and falls... until... poof at the bottom of the ravine...

High Tension - the scene where the chainsaw hits the driver's abdomen is incredibly uncomfortable to watch.

Dawn of the Dead remake - a variation on that previous type of scene - a chainsaw falling onto a blonde woman. It’s nasty enough in the theatrical cut, but even more stomach-turning in the uncut version.

Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance - pretty much any scene involving violence here is quite disturbing... even if it isn't actually that explicit.

Everything from "The Beyond", "Evil Dead", and "Day of the Dead"...

Honestly, I wasn't interested in watching this film before, and now I'm even less inclined to... 🙂
Hey, Hellraiser fan, why don't you give us your pick for the best violent scene from any of the sequels? 😁

Hellraiser fan, Roger Allen3, tell us which violent scene from any of the sequels is your absolute favorite! 😁

Every single time Pinhead shows up, the violence is just peak cinema. You should see that intense look on his face! 🙏

Actually, there aren't any violent scenes in Hellraiser, just comedic ones! 🙏

Cannibal Holocaust is child's play, believe me! If you're actually looking for something twisted, Eraserhead is the real deal. I watched it right in the middle of my own identity crisis. 😬
