Someone actually merged my threads. I guess I’ve just been unconsciously repeating myself without realizing it. If you check the post on the first page, you'll see what I mean—I didn't even remember writing it. Maybe there's some subconscious thing going on. It's been happening to me more often lately.

Old school hack: just knock back some Vitamin C—or whatever multivitamin you’ve got lying around—and an Advil before hitting the sack 😎

So, I was out on the town last night... had a few drinks, and when I woke up this morning, I honestly thought I might need to head straight to the ER for some kind of heavy-duty medication because my head was spinning so much. It wasn't even that I drank a ton, it just really didn't sit well with my stomach 🙂 or my head, haha
.
Eventually, I managed to pull myself out of bed, and things weren't actually quite as dire as I initially feared; the nausea subsided somewhat, though I still felt a little lightheaded and generally out of sorts
.
I decided to step out for some fresh air and made a quick run to the local CVS and the pharmacy. I ended up grabbing a Donut, which—full disclosure—actually made me feel a bit worse, but I picked up some Neofen Forte and some Supradyn effervescent tablets for an energy boost. I can't even begin to tell you how much those Supradyn worked wonders for me! They totally restored my energy levels, and suddenly, I felt human again
.
But anyway... I wanted to ask, what do you all typically do when you find yourselves in a similar predicament? Aside from the usual advice like taking a lukewarm shower... blah, blah, blah 🙂🙂🙂🙂:live or:

Man, I still remember when one single cocktail absolutely wrecked me a few years ago—and I’m talking just two small glasses. The vertigo and nausea were unreal. There's no magic fix. Your best bet is to purge whatever you can, chug fluids—tea if possible—and just find a quiet corner to sit in and wait for the storm to pass. And for heaven's sake, stay away from greasy, fried food—so yeah, forget about grabbing a Donut in a situation like that.
Never drink on an empty stomach, never drink alone, and if you absolutely have to go out, make sure there’s always a sober person nearby, especially if you start getting sick.

Look, I can actually weigh in here as a bit of an expert on this...🙂
First off, it all depends on how much you were drinking—and whether you were mixing drinks or not!
If you're feeling weak the next morning, seriously—drink some milk. Just trust me on this one; I’ve tried it and it works! And whatever you do, stay far away from greasy or sugary foods.
Pills don't really help (at least they don't for me), so just skip them.
A cold shower helps too—even just standing under the spray for a while does the trick!
Also, if you feel nauseous but can't seem to throw up, try sipping some lukewarm water—maybe about half a cup per sip—and believe me, it'll settle your stomach immediately...😁
It's been tested and proven!
Plus, a lot of it comes down to what specifically you were drinking...
If you're hitting the vodka, Amaro, or something similar (especially if you're mixing), a hangover is pretty much guaranteed.
Lately, I've been doing this with my Coke—I drink massive amounts of it, but I rarely deal with any hangover issues the next day...😉

Honestly, if you want to survive the morning, you really ought to knock down two glasses of water right before hitting the hay. It usually plays out in one of two ways: either it does its job and saves you from a brutal hangover, or—and this is the part nobody likes to admit—it triggers a bout of vomiting that clears whatever leftover booze is still sitting in your stomach. If you actually manage to make it through that without losing your mind, you should probably try to force down at least one more glass of water afterward.

That’s a pretty complicated question, honestly. You have to look at this from a few different angles if you want it to actually work. First off, maybe two days before your big Saturday—let's use Saturday as the baseline since that’s usually when everyone hits the bars and starts celebrating—you should start taking some magnesium, preferably something like a high-quality supplement or even just some Epsom salts if you're feeling dedicated. Then, on Saturday itself, don't be afraid to eat some heavier, fattier foods; fat is your best friend when it comes to slowing down how fast the alcohol hits your system. Basically, you need a game plan. Drink plenty of water whenever you can between drinks. And if a hangover does manage to catch you off guard, try grabbing a yogurt drink... I personally have my own go-to concoction that I swear by every single morning after a night out, regardless of whether I feel like death or not.
So, it's basically cold milk, a banana, some honey, and peanut butter.... Throw it all in a blender and enjoy life.

Come on, it's just a one-day hangover😁...first off, taking pills might actually make you feel worse... your best bet is to just stay in bed for the day... depends on what you were drinking, you have to eat accordingly... if you were mixing everything...👎 whatever you eat is going to taste gross... either way, vomiting is actually good.... for the headache, try some strong black coffee with lemon....

Since there isn't a specific thread for my issue, I’m dropping this here because it’s tied to health and the people on this forum actually seem to take things seriously.
Here’s the deal: we all go out, and to make the night more interesting or to keep enough energy to dance until sunrise, most of us lean on alcohol, tobacco, energy drinks, or even certain stimulants.
My problem isn't the night itself—it's the next day. Regardless of whether I had booze or just slammed an energy drink, the following day I feel like a crushed rag. I'm useless, my brain is completely fogged up, and I spend the entire day stuck in the bathroom. It's a total hangover.
I tried going out while sticking strictly to juice, but after just two hours of dancing, I’m yawning, my legs feel like lead, I start sweating, and I just want to crash at home.
So, here is my question: how do you power through the whole night without relying on that stuff? Do I need to sleep all day beforehand, chug Gatorade, or is there some secret formula? Or is it all just in my head?
Thanks

It's partly an age thing.😁
I can't keep up with those kinds of nights anymore either, even though I used to be able to do it without breaking a sweat.

I honestly doubt you can avoid a hangover entirely and still feel perfectly normal the next day!😍
Personally, I stick to just one type of drink. I don't mix anything. That way, I don't even end up getting sick the next day.🤷

From what I've gathered during my own long history with alcohol, those cocktails and similar drinks are truly the worst kind of evil. 🤣It's all those sugary flavors.
I don't think I've ever retched as badly as I did after having some fruit-flavored vodka. And that was with a relatively low alcohol content, even though I had a full glass. I spent the entire day stuck in bed feeling completely miserable. It's funny, because I could probably knock back 10 to 15 Jäger shots and feel like a brand-new person the next morning.😂😂

Based on my pretty extensive and long-standing experience with heavy drinking, I can tell you one thing for certain: there is no such thing as a cure for a hangover.

The truth is, there are all sorts of variables at play depending on a person's individual makeup and how they're feeling that night; some people are just built to handle alcohol better than others, right?
But there’s a universal rule: don't mix your drinks, and don't drink on an empty stomach—though, honestly, being totally stuffed doesn't help much either because those sugary, colored cocktails tend to trigger them even faster and are just plain worse

And when it comes to actually getting drunk—I mean, once you've crossed that line and inevitably wake up the next morning feeling like death—the hangover is unavoidable. There are little tricks you can try before it hits, and the most "innocent" one is chugging water before bed—the more, the better—but that lingering sensation that something has truly wrecked you? That's inevitable. Of course, I'm talking about actual intoxication here; for some, it takes half a liter of vodka, while for others, it's just a couple of beers or a few shots... but even then, the math stays the same: the more you knock back, the longer your body needs to recover.

There really is only one foolproof remedy, and that is prevention: just don't drink. Everything else is just wishful thinking.☕

Is it normal to still feel this terrible three days after a massive bender?
If I count the first day as the one when the hangover should have hit—right after the drinking session—I felt worse than I ever have in my life. I was vomiting constantly, and even after getting some sleep, I felt barely any better; I tried to eat some soup, but even that came right back up. I basically just spent the whole time trying to survive.
By the second day, things improved somewhat, but the nausea, the shakes, and the panic attacks were still there. I already struggle with anxiety, and alcohol makes it a thousand times worse, but I was able to eat normally then. It wasn't "emergency room" bad, but I definitely didn't feel like myself yet.
Now it’s the third day, and I need to get back to work and function like a normal human being, but I’m still feeling weak, the anxiety hasn't let up, my stomach hurts, I'm exhausted, and I can't even smoke... and I haven't done anything else for three days besides lying around and trying to stay alive.
Just for context, I almost never drink; the last time was six months ago, and before that, I can't even remember. This time, I had several liters of heavy wine, and after just three glasses, I was already stumbling around.
I’m terrified that I’ve actually poisoned myself to the point where my life is at risk, even though people say the most critical window is just a few hours after consuming large amounts.
Is it possible I'm just out of shape because I rarely drink and really overdid it, or am I genuinely making a scene here? I can understand why I'm moving so slowly since I'm completely hungover and half my body is bruised, but I don't understand these other symptoms. I am really scared. 🙂
EDIT: My apologies for reviving such an old thread. 👍

It lasts a long time, yeah, but given what you described, it’s not exactly a shocker.
That said, the part about half your body being blue from bruising is what really gets me. What was the mechanism there? Did you take an udarac to the head? Pass out? Can you actually remember the whole night?
You definitely have enough reason to check in with your doctor ASAP—get a clinical exam and some basic blood work done to figure out what's going on.
Btw, we might need a new rule here—if you're gonna revive a thread this old, a doctor's consultation should be mandatory. 😍

People can say whatever they want now, but I once got so hammered that I was dealing with every single one of those symptoms for five straight days. Yeah, five full days. My digestion didn't even get back to normal until day seven, and I barely ate a thing. Honestly? It nearly killed me. Never again. Stick to light teas, some pretzels, and maybe a little Gatorade, and you might pull through. Might be worth tossing some activated charcoal in there too, just to flush out the toxins.

🙂

I didn't hit my head, though I can't remember about 50% of the night. The issue is we were drinking for a long time—actually, almost all day—and by the end, I completely lost the plot. I only remember fragments, and new pieces of the puzzle seem to surface every single day. 😁
My legs are bruised and both ankles are banged up; basically, it's just my extremities that hurt. My torso is mostly fine, and my head feels okay.
I didn't lose consciousness, except maybe passing out once? It was probably just falling asleep after the vomiting stopped, maybe two hours after I finished drinking. I slept through the whole night without any issues, but then total chaos hit me the next morning.
So, it's hard to say exactly what went down because my memory is so spotty.
Anyway, I'm feeling much better today. My legs still hurt like crazy, and my stomach isn't exactly handling food well, but it's improving. I'm still alive! 😁
Terry Scott57 was a comfort to read, knowing someone else has dealt with similar symptoms. 😁
I have massive gaps between drinking sessions; I'll go six months without touching a drop of alcohol, and then I'll absolutely kill myself with a few liters in a single day.
It won't happen again. 😁
