I click the Insert image icon and then paste the image "address" from Imgur.
Where am I going wrong?🤷🤷

Every time I try to use this same Imgur link on the HAZELNUT forums, it just shows up as a plain old HTTP link instead of actually displaying the picture like it does here.

I’m still pretty new to this whole scene, so I’ve clearly missed some memo or a specific step along the way. 🤷

The issue is you're grabbing the wrong thing. You aren't using the actual image address; you're using the URL of the webpage where the image happens to be hosted. You're pasting this:

Open that link and look on the left. You'll see four yellow boxes. You have two options:

1) Copy the part labeled Direct link, then click the Insert Image button on the forum () and paste that text.

2) Copy the part labeled HTML Code and just paste it directly onto the forum as text, without clicking the Insert Image button.

In both cases, the result is the same:

Image posting is disabled on this forum. It's stated right there at the bottom left under the "rule of creation" section.

I find myself facing a bit of a technical conundrum! As a newcomer to this wonderful community, I haven't quite mastered the intricacies of how to upload additional images. Here is the situation: I previously posted an image within one specific thread, and now, upon opening a brand-new topic where I am eager to include more visuals, I am hitting a wall because an error message keeps popping up. It is almost as if the system is being stubborn! Does this mean that in order to successfully post a fresh image, I am forced to delete my previous ones first? Like trying to clear out an old closet just to make room for one single new shirt? 🤷

What kind of error are you getting? And what service are you using to upload your photos?
