I totally get how to handle photos, but I'm a bit lost on those video clips
Which icon should I be using for a video?
#363 ·
Not a single one. You can drop a link to the video if you want, but you can't actually embed it directly onto Reddit.

James Bond villain beat me to the punch. 😬
Yeah, no clips or anything else available. Just a single link to the video, just like James Bond villain said...

Just sign up at www.photobucket.com. It takes less than a minute. You'll get access to an album where you can store images for future use. Just upload the photo, copy the code under the IMG tag, paste it into your post, and you're done.
I actually gave it a shot, but I honestly have no clue where that IMG is hiding. Since I just joined the forum, I’m still a bit overwhelmed trying to figure all this out!🤷🤷

Why does the image show up fine here, but whenever I try to post it somewhere else on the forum, it just turns into a plain link?

Does anyone know if it's possible to add text to an image uploaded with ImageShack? When I set up an album, I'd love to include a brief description for each photo, but I haven't figured out how to do that yet... 🙈

Check the Posting Rules on that sub-forum (bottom left, under Quick Reply). It’s likely that IMG tags are disabled there.

Are you planning to put descriptions here on the forum or directly on ImageShack? If it's on ImageShack, I have no idea; I don't use them. Besides, that's not really relevant to this thread. This topic is about posting images here on the forum, not about how the ImageShack interface works.

I asked here thinking someone might have an answer, since I wanted to make sure members could actually read the image details... but it doesn't matter. Thanks for the reply.

Maybe someone else who actually knows will get back to you. 🤷

No clue. If it works, it should work. Just send a PM to the moderator over there and ask... 🤷

I'm trying to set an avatar image, but I want to get rid of that annoying white background first. Does anyone know how to pull that off? 🤷

Would this do the trick for you?

When you set it as an avatar, you shouldn't be seeing that background, right?
