Richard Wilson4 said:They really need to put together a decent third installment. Honestly, "Predators" had some potential, even if it ended up being a bit weak, but those two AvP movies? Total garbage. Don't even get me started.

I remember being terrified of Predator 2 when I was a kid. It has some truly scary moments, especially the parts where they tear at skulls. That refrigerator scene was alright, but the King Willy scene absolutely haunted me back then. It feels like a worthy sequel, though looking at the IMDb trivia, it seems a bit soft; it should have been much more brutal than it actually was.

The Predators movie was just okay. They missed the mark with the lead actor—he just wasn't right for the part.

AvP works solely because of the story, but as films, they are strictly B-movie quality.

I am still waiting for a real Predator 3.☕

Hands down, the best entry in the franchise after the original.

The movie is a pretty decent follow-up to the first one, though I guess Jamie Foxx’s performance actually makes it better than the original for me.
Growing up, my absolute dream was to see a third movie where Jamie Foxx and Arnold Schwarzenegger teamed up to fight off a Predator and an Alien at the same time. 😁

Look, the vibe, the aesthetic, the pure chaos, all those weapons... man, I actually dig the second one in its own way! Sure, it doesn't hit that same level of intense, nail-biting suspense that the first movie had, but it’s still awesome in its own unique style. As for all those other silly spin-offs and sequels? Yeah, I've got absolutely nothing to say about them. Total junk!

It’s a decent enough flick, pretty solid overall
My favorite part has to be that moment when the guy says we’ve got a new player in town 😁

And those guns toward the end

When we’re talking about the absolute best moments, I mean that one scene where Jamie Foxx pulls off the mask—that’s easily the most iconic part of the whole movie, right?

And then there's that moment when he walks into that slaughterhouse and the Predator is just standing there totally blindsided, like, "Who is this guy stepping into my territory and actually having the guts to stare me down?! WTF?!" 😁

Look, there are some killer scenes in here, but as a complete package, the movie feels kind of weak to me. Honestly, if the first movie didn't even exist, I'd probably think this was way better than it actually is.

It’s just like when you trade in your Mercedes-Benz S-Class or an E-Class for an A-Class; sure, the A-Class is fine, but once you remember how incredible the S or E-Class felt, that new car just doesn't measure up.

Man, it would be so sick if they made a sequel that picks up right at the end of Predator 2... specifically around those graves... imagine the sheer adrenaline rush trying to track down the Predator in that setting!

I mean, maybe the Predator uses some pretty weak weapons too...
but I'm guessing a mob could probably take him down😁 with nothing more than forks and shovels

Man, they’d probably dream up some kind of portable cannon just for a pirate! 🙂

I think you're exaggerating—Predator 2 isn't even remotely as bad compared to the original. 😉

Personally, I really dig that scene with the old lady in the bathroom and that subway scene 😁

@Grace Edwards, man, that scene with the old lady is hands down one of the absolute dumbest, most nonsensical things I’ve ever seen in a movie. Seriously, just because of that one moment, I had to dock my rating—and you know I usually only drop it by one notch, even if I occasionally go a bit lower before correcting myself.
It was just pure stupidity and it honestly ruins the whole vibe of the flick. Scenes like that have absolutely no business being in a Predator movie.
They could have easily gone with something like tripping the Predator with a broom or having him fall and get hurt while they were trying to pull that goofy gag, but instead, they went this way. Look, I get that there was some banter between the characters—the first movie had its share of humor too—but once the Predator actually shows up? There shouldn't be any room for jokes. It's supposed to be intense! That scene made it feel more like a Scooby-Doo cartoon than a sci-fi thriller.

I guess it all comes down to personal taste, right? But let's be real: the original is a total masterpiece, whereas the sequel feels pretty mediocre to me.

Compared to the first one, Predator 2 feels way too unserious, almost like just another run-of-the-mill 90s action flick you'd see on basic cable.

On the flip side, that sequence in the subway where he jumps onto the train, crawling along while the lights flash and then suddenly diving into the darkness to kill everything in sight? Now *that* was a killer scene.
Just imagine if someone had flipped the light switch and yelled at the Predator to take off his costume, spat on him, and slapped him... I mean, come on, that's just ridiculous. In my book, whenever the Predator is on screen, he needs to be terrifying, without a single shred of comedy cutting through the tension.

Silvestri absolutely crushed it with this score... he perfectly captured that gritty, urban jungle vibe!👍

Man, that connection to the first one was just spot on. Absolute perfection.

This stuff gives me the absolute creeps. Seriously, I'm getting chills just thinking about it. 🙏

@Patrick Martin, I’m right there with you on that one. 😱

It is honestly wild how much a score can just get under your skin and freak you out, isn't it? Seriously though, massive props to whoever was behind the scenes composing this stuff. 🙏

When you start talking about legendary soundtracks and movie scores, the music from the Predator movie is easily sitting at the top of my list—it’s just something else entirely, totally unique and special.

So, I finally sat down to watch Predator 2 the other day, and man, I just have to get this off my chest—that whole scene where Jamie Foxx slices off his hand? It was honestly so incredibly stupid, don't you think?

Why? Honestly, it’s just because that whole scene made absolutely zero sense and lacked even a shred of logic, you know?

I mean, seriously, why on earth would the Predator even bother triggering that self-destruct sequence in a situation like that? Like, what's the logic there? Why go ahead and blow yourself up when you aren't even backed into a corner or stuck without any other way out? It just doesn't add up, does it?
I mean, come on, look at the positioning! He’s holding onto Jamie Foxx with his left hand and gripping that disc with his right, so wouldn't it make way more sense—and honestly, just be a lot more logical—if he used that left hand to just yank Jamie Foxx right off the building? I mean, seriously, isn't the answer a resounding YES?

Who on earth came up with this scene? Honestly, I think whoever designed it is a total moron.

In the original '87 Predator movie, that creature only triggers the self-destruct sequence once it’s backed into a corner with absolutely zero way out, you know? I mean, we all saw how Arnold Schwarzenegger basically dismantled him—he snaps that neck with that thick branch and then starts closing in with a massive rock just to finish the job. At that point, the Predator was completely helpless and couldn't move an inch, so it honestly makes total sense that he'd just hit the panic button on that device since he was already sitting there with the thing ready to go.

Man, I was just rewatching that scene where Jamie Foxx is cleaning up and lands that final blow, and honestly, it makes zero sense! Like, you can clearly see him holding that disk right there in his hand, right? And if the Predator is supposed to be this ultimate hunter, how on earth does it just stroll up without noticing that? If they wanted that to work, the fog should have been thick enough to hide the damn thing, but instead, it’s so obvious even my grandma could spot it from a mile away! Especially since the disk is practically glowing—it makes the Predator look like a total moron, and we all know that definitely isn't the case.
It’s a massive oversight, honestly, but I guess there might be a reason behind it? Like, maybe they wanted to make it easier for the audience to track what Jamie Foxx was doing, keeping that disc right in his hand so we’re all sitting on the edge of our seats just waiting for him to finally take down the Predator? That’s the only way I can justify why it was handled that way—unless, of course, they were just working with a shoestring budget and didn't have the right gear to pull off something better.

It’s a decent enough sequel. It just doesn't have that same shock value or that massive testosterone punch you got from the first one.

Still, it ended up being a fun ride and had some pretty tense action scenes thrown in there.

I always found that scene where he jumps off the building and the Predator starts setting up the self-destruct sequence to be a bit ridiculous. But overall, it really is a solid sequel.
