If anyone actually went to see this sequel hoping for a decent movie, it was definitely me.

I watched the first one maybe three or four times, and honestly, I’ll still watch it whenever it pops up on TV. It's always good. And we don't even need to get into the cast...🙂

But this? I walked into the theater and could barely make it to the credits because it was just unnecessarily long—like, they could have cut thirty minutes easily. It was monotonous, and frankly, it felt pointless. As for the plot or the script, well, I'm basically typing this with my left big toe.😬 ...

I mean, jeez.

I won't go as far as saying it's a total catastrophe or complete garbage, but... there's hardly any decent scenery to look at, and if we're being totally objective, the acting is just completely uninspired.
The guys and Zeta Jones and Douglas were the same way. She's pretty, so I guess everyone just forgives her.😁

All in all, I wouldn't suggest going to the theater unless you're forced to or you really can't think of a better way to blow thirty bucks.

Steven Soderbergh, shame on you. You should've let someone else sign off on this one instead of yourself.

p.s. In some older posts here, someone mentioned that a guy named Vincent dances in the movie.

Good grief, it’s not like the first one blew me away either, but all that massive pile of "heavy hitter" actors... and what a pathetic excuse for a movie! 😲 How is that even possible!? But, whatever... I don't want to get bogged down dissecting that specific flick; I just want to riff on the thing that actually caught my attention... namely, the sheer volume of films... so many stars... I can't shake the feeling that some of them would be vastly, vastly superior if the casting had just gone a different way! What are your thoughts on this? Can you think of a movie that would have been significantly better if a certain actor hadn't been cast in it?

Dammit... I absolutely loathe Wild at Heart because of Cage! 🙂

you could probably make the cheapest movie in the world just by casting Bill Murray or some guy like Pajtonovac; I guess you'd just put them in chairs in an empty room and film their faces...

The second you greenlight a project just because people liked the first one... everything else just falls apart...

I personally found the film to be excellent... 🙂 In fact, I believe the sequel actually surpasses the original, especially considering the cast is absolutely brilliant. 😁

The movie is absolutely killer when you’ve got Brad Pitt and George Clooney sharing the screen. But honestly, nothing beats the experience of catching it in a theater and seeing those two in a massive close-up...

So, I just watched it for the second time, and honestly, it didn't feel quite as brain-dead as it did when I first saw it. I think maybe that's because it’s so much worse than Ocean's 11 that my brain just kind of shut down automatically. 🙂

There are a few really sharp lines of dialogue in there, and that little bit where Julia Roberts plays herself is actually pretty clever, though I guess they didn't use it very often.

If we ever get an Ocean's 13 that turns out like this, they might as well just give up entirely. It really isn't worth the price of a movie ticket.

In my opinion, the best music in the entire movie kicks in when that French thief—I can't even remember his name—is dodging those laser alarms in the museum😁
