I personally use it for minor stuff—like scratches or little cuts—because they heal way faster. But when it comes to things like burns, sore throats, sinus congestion, or even skin breakouts... everything clears up so much quicker!

I’ve been using my Bioptron Cimpact III. for about 18 days now to deal with my sinus issues. My routine is pretty set—I do 6 minutes on the frontal sinuses and another 6 minutes on the maxillary sinuses every single night. So far, though, I haven't really felt any difference. The guy at the store told me I’d need to stick with it for at least 15 days before seeing any real progress with chronic stuff like what I'm dealing with, but I'm still waiting for that "aha!" moment.
Has anyone else here found relief from chronic sinus problems using this? If so, how long did it take before you actually started feeling better?

Michael Anderson10 said:It seems pretty foolish to me, honestly. As far as I can tell, Bioptron only works where it is applied—meaning the skin. A Bioptron isn't going to shine a light on a uterus, WTF.

If I were dealing with fibroids, I wouldn't be relying on that lamp; instead, I was advised that applying castor oil compresses three times a week for an hour at a time works wonders.
While I don't personally have fibroids yet, I do struggle with ovarian inflammation, and those warm compresses have been a total lifesaver. You're much better off picking up a large liter bottle at a local drugstore like CVS rather than wasting money on those tiny, overpriced little bottles they sell in boutique shops.
Basically, you just apply the compress over the uterine area, cover it with plastic wrap, and head to bed.

The Bioptron works by using incoherent light, which makes it fundamentally different from things like UV lamps or lasers—you know, those high-intensity, coherent beams of directed energy. We’re talking about a wavelength range of roughly 400 to 3400 nm here; it actually penetrates the skin cells to kickstart the healing process. And honestly, if you pair it with an Oxy spray, you're looking at even deeper penetration, making the whole effect both more intense and longer-lasting.

I’ve been using my Bioptron lamp to brighten up my complexion for quite some time now, but when I went to switch it on today, absolutely nothing happened. No light at all. I figured I’d just let it sit there for a few minutes to see if it would kick in, but then—boom—I heard this sudden pop from inside the unit, followed by this distinct smell of something burning, and just like that, it was dead. It was honestly such a shock! I’m wondering if anyone else here has run into a similar situation with their device? I’m planning on giving Zepter a call to see what they can tell me, though I’m feeling a bit pessimistic about getting any help since I’ve had this thing for about ten years now, so the warranty is almost certainly long gone.

It sounds like it might have just reached the end of its lifespan, unfortunately🤷. I used mine—along with everyone else in my house—for about 8 years, and toward the end, it started making this strange buzzing sound. We used it constantly, and honestly, it was a lifesaver for all of us👍. A few months back, Zepter sent out brochures to all their lamp users offering a trade-in deal for a new model. If you had an old one, they seemed to credit you around $650 toward a new one, regardless of whether it still worked or not—as long as you were upgrading. The catch was they only offered the large model, so my mom ended up getting that one on a payment plan. Now, whenever I need it, I’m running over to her place like a little chick heading for an incubator!😁.

It’s been doing that same strange buzzing thing at my place lately, and then yesterday, it just went completely haywire like this. By the way, if you happen to know, what does that larger model run for these days? Thanks!

I can't say for certain since I don't have my mom here to double-check with her, but I believe it's around $10,000 $0.00. Keep in mind, they gave us a discount of about $650 when we traded in the old lamp. Just a heads-up though: the large one is a total game-changer compared to the small one because the surface area is so much bigger!

By the way, they’ve actually been using it for therapy over in Canada for quite a while now, and their health insurance even covers the costs. It makes me wonder if we'll ever see something similar happen here in the States😕so that it’s accessible to everyone.

Bioptron is nothing more than a total scam that people fall for way too easily.
I did a little digging into this, and you know what I found?

a) It’s not a laser. You can tell just by looking at it from an airplane.
b) It emits a slice of visible electromagnetic radiation, ranging from near-infrared up to about blue light. No violet, no UV. In that regard, it’s almost identical to sunlight filtered through a windowpane. Glass blocks the UV and leaves you with basically the same spectrum. Wow. Real groundbreaking stuff there.
c) They claim it uses polarized light. What kind of polarization? Linear or circular? I couldn't find a single mention of it. Regardless, it doesn't do anything. Besides, sunlight contains every possible polarization anyway. And if this lamp happens to be linearly polarized, how exactly—and relative to what—are you supposed to rotate it? 20° clockwise? 57° the other way? 125°? 🤷
Relative to what am I rotating it? Where is the "default position" for a wound? For God's sake, what a joke. 🤦

It’s a complete load of crap, honestly. I could start selling magic lamps right now and claim they heal wounds. Every now and then, someone’s injury might heal faster just by chance—those are just random fluctuations that happen naturally. A handful of people will swear it "worked," and they'll go around buzzing about how the device actually functions.

I’m totally on the same page as Andy here... I’m really leaning into this point, so if anyone wants to dive deep into the specifics, you should definitely go out and test it for yourself somewhere else... plus, there's already an old thread about this over in the main lounge section.
