Man, I am seriously looking forward to seeing this movie. I remember how much my friend used to obsess over it—she’d watch it constantly. I wonder if she actually felt any fear back then? Hehehe. Back in the day, pretty much everything scared the hell out of me, but now? It just seems ridiculous to me. Still, I’ll probably sit through it anyway, even if I'm not exactly thrilled about it.

The remake trailer finally dropped after a century of fans begging and whining for it.

Let me know what you think.🙂

I don't know, man... personally, this looks like every other modern "horror" flick out there. Plus, I'm really not feeling the new Freddy look. They cast an amazing actor for the part, but then they totally botched it with some "generic" mask. It doesn't capture anything about the original Freddy's vibe...🤷

I actually like the casting. In those opening scenes where he's running, he carries this vibe of a predator targeting kids 😉. I don't mind the different mask, but it feels a bit too heavy on the CGI for my taste.

Something else caught my eye—people might disagree, but when he speaks at the end of the trailer, he reminds me a little of Ledger's Joker 🙂,
especially that "not one bit" line.

Yeah... and his voice sounds kinda "off," right? When he talks, it felt like the actor was struggling to enunciate because the mask was messing with him...🤷

But whatever, we gotta see the actual movie first. Right now, it's all just hype and guesswork.

Man, Freddy Krueger absolutely terrified me when I was just a kid. I actually went on a recent marathon of all the sequels; honestly, some of the early ones were kind of cheesy, but I still felt that genuine creepiness. I am seriously looking forward to this release. My only real gripe is that it feels like they’re leaning way too hard on nostalgia—lots of clips of kids playing jump rope, that scene where a girl gets pulled out of bed, those pipes in the basement... I guess they could have been a bit more original and actually introduced some fresh scares instead of just recycling the old stuff.

I'm with you there. The old Freddy had a way better mask than this version.
To me, he looks like some extra from a Star Trek episode.
It’s wild to think that over twenty years ago, they actually knew how to design better masks than what we're seeing today.

The casting is fine, though.

I'm totally with you on the voice thing. When I heard it, I was like, wtf?? Robert had such a specific vibe as Freddy, so I guess we'll see if the role fits Jackie...

And yeah, the trailer looks like a total rip-off of the original. Like, the scenes look identical—the bathtub, the part where Tina dies...

Heather was great as Nancy, too. I wonder how this new actress is gonna handle it... Still, IT'S ONLY A DREAM 🙂

Ugh, seriously—why on earth did they change his mask???? Like, what was wrong with the previous one? It was still clearly Freddy, so I don't get the point of swapping masks mid-stream.

The versions of Freddy Krueger from 1984 and 1994 serve as the definitive pillars of modern horror; frankly, the rest of the sequels haven't held much water since their initial release, let alone by today's standards.

True, I’m right there with you thinking both of Wes Craven's entries are the peak of the franchise... though I’d give the third one a passing grade just because the original cast showed up, plus John Saxon has always been such an interesting B-movie icon to me. Everything else is fine from a production standpoint, I guess, but creatively? It’s pretty thin...

I watched this movie when I was a kid, and honestly, I couldn't sleep for nights because I was terrified Freddy would show up in my dreams🙂. Looking at various polls, most people rank Freddy as the top horror villain, right behind Michael Myers and Jason Voorhees, but at the end of the day, Freddy is still Freddy🙂

To whole Freddy vs Jason thing feels more like a comedy than an actual horror movie to me. ^^
I guess it’s because of those ridiculous scenes where they’re just trying to tear each other apart, but honestly, how do you even kill something that’s basically immortal?

Honestly, both that movie and Jason X are some of the dumbest films I've ever seen.👎

Look, if I were calling the shots, I'd make sure they stayed dead once and for all. If they ever ended up on the floor, I’d just chop them into tiny little pieces, ship every single limb to opposite ends of the United States, and bury them deep in the ground. Then you can try getting back up if you're feeling ambitious... let's see if there's a sequel after that. 😂🤣

And then Hollywood directors would just invent their sons being slaughtered, and boom—another endless pile of sequels.😂

I think we're looking at Jason x. Quote.

I honestly think they’ll come up with something here too, since they aren't exactly strangers to playing butcher. 😁

I am absolutely counting down the days until the next installment! 🙂

I still remember being just a little kid and practically wetting myself whenever I saw old Freddy Krueger on screen! haha
