I just ran into an ad for Excel... does that stuff actually work? It feels a little pricey to be using it as a guinea pig

Greetings to all.

I'm curious if anyone here has been using this for a longer period. Hemoglobin oil. How is it working for you? Does it actually help? I’ve only been using it for two days, which isn't exactly enough time to make a real judgment. The pain during and after bowel movements persists... so I am hoping this does the trick. My biggest issue is the occasional constipation and that frustrating inability to get to a restroom when the timing is inconvenient. It just ends up being delayed. 😲 Good grief.

I have it. I use it occasionally. Just enough. For hygiene purposes. Personally, when I dealt with hemorrhoids, it didn't do much for me. But to the Fact, it's true.

Well, here we go again... my own little saga. For about five or six years now, I’ve been dealing with some pretty rough bathroom situations. My stools are consistently hard, and there’s almost always bleeding afterward—like, 90% of the time. Sometimes it’s a little, sometimes it’s more, but it’s basically a constant companion. If I rinse off with cold water, the pain vanishes instantly, but the dread remains. Every single time I have to use the restroom, I know I’m going to feel that discomfort right up until the moment I'm finished. And the blood? It's just always there. Then, the other day, I decided to hop back on a bike after seven years of sitting on the sidelines and went for a ride out toward 12 miles. Everything started aching. At first, I figured it was just my seat, but then this lump appeared—about the size of a grape, bluish in color, and totally swollen. It’s at the point where I can’t even use toilet paper because the stinging and pain are just too much to handle. I mean, I’ve had this swelling happen before, but it usually just goes away on its own. Up until now, I haven't really used anything, though I did pick up some creams recently. Honestly, they were useless—just some stuff based on propolis and some Penaten. Can anyone give me an idea of what stage this might be or what my next move should be? I was actually looking into that THD method... maybe?

Could some meds be causing my hemorrhoids? I've been popping 600mg Ibuprofen for about 5 or 6 days now. Could that actually be the culprit?

Some people swear by it—but honestly, I just THREW that expensive money down the drain. I could've just bought a six-pack of Budweiser instead... it probably would've had the exact same effect as Excel.

which means they definitely exist.
1. internal
2. both internal and external, because internal ones can basically trigger external ones...
and that’s really it...
everything else just isn't quite right!

No, you don't get to decide that!! There are internal-external types... How? Well, they start on the inside, then after a bowel movement they pop out just a little bit, and then you push them back in (and they vanish completely!) and that goes on for years and years...

So, I’ve been taking this black seed oil—it actually helps with my allergies, which is a small win, I guess—but after about a week of knocking back three teaspoons a day, I’ve ended up with these external hemorrhoids. Is there any chance the oil is the culprit? Should I just toss the whole bottle if it is? And more importantly, does anyone know which ointment actually works for external ones... because honestly, it hurts like hell...

Hey everyone, quick question for you guys. So, a little while back, I had this tiny little bump near my rear end, but it cleared up after maybe a day or two. Then, one time I sat on some ice—don't ask—and that little bump came right back, except this time it won't go away like it did before. I didn't really feel like making a trip to the doctor, so I just picked up some Fact ointment, assuming it was just hemorrhoids (I did see a tiny bit of blood once when I went to the bathroom). I was applying the Fact ointment just on the outside, but honestly, it felt like it made things worse. One "cheek" area where the bump is located actually swelled up, so I stopped using it for a bit. After a while, I started using it again, but this time I was putting it more toward the inside, and the bump seemed to shrink a little. It doesn't really hurt and I don't have issues when I'm on the toilet, but it’s itchy and just feels... off. I spend way too much time sitting at my computer and my diet is pretty much non-existent, nothing special there. If anyone has any suggestions, like a better cream or something, let me know. I'm really trying to avoid the doctor if I can. Thanks in advance!

So...

I have read through almost all the pages here, but I haven't found a solution to my specific issue yet.🙂

I am not experiencing any pain or bleeding. I have never had issues of this nature (hemorrhoidal 😁 ) until about a year ago. I would suppose the cause is a combination of endless stress and a terrible diet.

Now, what happens with me is that periodically, every few months, I get hit with an intense itching sensation (I maintain very high hygiene standards, thanks for asking!) especially at night.

Since nothing else under the sun seemed to work, I tried using Elocom cream (which is actually for dermatitis and such), and God knows, it worked—it saved me and the discomfort is gone.

Anyway, I am now starting to change my diet, increase exercise, and so on.

BUT, the thing that is really bothering me is this: during a detailed self-inspection with a mirror, I see those damn purple veins right on the edge... well... neither inside nor outside 🙂 nor deep inside, but if I strain just a little bit, I can see them clearly 😁

You might wonder why this is a problem if there is no pain, no bleeding, no stinging, and no discomfort?

It is because it is an aesthetic issue for me, and also, what if you have a partner who loves—just like I do—all kinds of anal play that requires things to look good up close!

What should I do now?

Since most posts here describe serious medical problems, when you say "this helped and they didn't come back," does that mean they stopped causing you trouble, or that they literally (physically) vanished from the surface?🙂

Thank you.

...I can see those damn purple hemorrhoids right on the edge. They aren't really tucked away inside, but they aren't fully outside either—they're just... there.🙂 Neither in nor out.
What am I supposed to do now?

Easy questions, easy answers: sure, stress is a huge factor... and let's not even get started on the diet. Honestly, you probably need to cut back on sitting too—maybe try working from home if you can manage that!
- Most creams for this kind of thing have a little local anesthetic in them, which should help take the edge off the itching. Maybe ask a pharmacist if they have something with a higher concentration?
- Well, that's just how life goes. You start small, things grow... then you're bigger, and suddenly everything is shifting around, sometimes inside, sometimes poking out...
- Man, the answer to that is complicated. You definitely need to see a doctor, but if they're far away, you've got to figure out transportation—a plane or a car is better, because a bike is probably a bad idea right now. When you head to the clinic, try to keep a cool head—it won't just vanish on its own. In about 80% of cases, topical creams or shouting at the problem doesn't do much; eventually, you end up having to go with one of those physical removal methods. And—there you have it.

If you're dealing with hemorrhoids, you've gotta get moving. Work on those core muscles, load up on fiber and water, and stay clean down there—cold baths actually help. Avoid sitting around all day and just stick to basic, unscented creams; honestly, even Nivea does the job fine.

With fissures, the real issue is that the sphincter muscle is way too tight. You usually need meds that relax smooth muscle, like calcium channel blockers (think nifedipine or diltiazem), nitroglycerin, or isosorbide dinitrate...
Manual stretching also helps. I know, sounds pretty gross to most people, but it works. So, grab some gloves, some cream, hop in the shower, and get back to work.

Anyway, I suppose I'll just give it my all and see what happens..

I’ve dealt with internal hemorrhoids before, and I’m still dealing with them now. 😂 You need to try Aboc Ruscoven gel. It’s the gold standard. For me, combining the gel with the tablets is the ultimate solution. Just try it. Sure, the treatment isn't cheap, but it actually worked for me. Good luck!👍

Jessica Grant56; did you ever actually undergo the procedure? If so, what kind did you have and how was the recovery? I recall you used to be quite an advocate for just learning to live with hemorrhoids.

I’ve been reflecting quite a bit lately on how we approach our daily routines and the subtle ways they shape our mental clarity. It isn't just about being "busy"; it's about the intentionality behind the movement. I remember back when I was working in Chicago, I used to think that if my calendar wasn't packed from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, I wasn't being productive. I was constantly chasing that next task, thinking more motion equaled more progress. But as I've gotten older, I've realized that true effectiveness comes from those quiet moments of preparation. It’s like preparing a meal—if you rush the prep work, the whole process feels chaotic, no matter how fast you chop. We often overlook the importance of setting a steady rhythm before the storm hits. Taking that extra ten minutes in the morning to just sit with a cup of coffee, without checking my phone or jumping straight into emails, has made a world of difference in my ability to stay grounded throughout the day. It's a practice of patience, really. In a culture that prizes speed above almost everything else, choosing to move with purpose rather than urgency can feel counterintuitive, even a little rebellious. But I truly believe that when we find that internal cadence, everything else starts to fall into place much more naturally. kaže:
I’ve dealt with issues regarding my internal health for quite some time now, and honestly, it’s something I’m still navigating through today. It isn't always easy to manage, especially when you're trying to maintain a sense of normalcy while dealing with those persistent, underlying discomforts. 😂 If you’re looking for some relief, I’d highly recommend giving Aboc Ruscoven gel a shot. Personally, I’ve found that using it alongside their tablets is the absolute gold standard—it’s really the winning combination for me. I'll be honest, the full regimen can be a bit pricey, so it’s definitely an investment. However, in my experience, the results were more than worth the cost. It worked wonders for me over the long haul. Best of luck with whatever you decide to try!👍

I was wondering where you pick up that gel—who actually manufactures it? Also, which specific tablets are you using? I'm trying to get a sense of how much this whole routine ends up costing, and honestly, how long did it take before you started seeing real results with those little issues?🙂

vividcrane25 said:Jessica Grant56; were you actually one of those people who went under the knife? If so, what kind of procedure was it and how did it go? I remember you being a big advocate for just living in harmony with your hemorrhoids.

Well, I wouldn't call myself an "advocate"—it's more like I've been trying to coexist with them for decades now, and honestly, I'm doing okay. Everything feels pretty much the same as before—they stay "inside-out," under control, and there's no bleeding. I suppose all that vein gel helped toughen up the walls, so they aren't acting up as much. It’s almost like they aren't even there, despite me not spending hours hunched over at work—because if I did, I’d definitely notice when they decide to make an appearance, and let's be real, it's not easy to coax them back inside once they're out.

I use some Proctolyn cream—an Italian brand that I'm definitely NOT advertising, but it’s easily one of my favorites. So, combined with a more careful diet (I don't even touch spicy or peppery food), keeping things regular, staying a bit cleaner, and using just a reasonable amount of ointment and gel—well, it works great, so thanks for asking... No surgery required.

And I'll say that ridiculous piece of advice again: take a photo from below!! Put the camera on the floor, aim carefully, and finally, you'll see exactly who your enemy is and what they look like! Plus, by next year, you'll be able to tell if the enemy has made any progress.

How long can I stay on Detralex?
I finished my first box by taking three doses of two tablets for four days, then two doses of two tablets for three days, before dropping down to one tablet twice a day for the second box, which is now empty.
Can I just keep going at one tablet twice a day with a third box?

I’ve seen a specialist twice and was diagnosed with first-degree internal hemorrhoids. He keeps telling me to use Faktu cream, but honestly, it hasn't done much. After some bleeding following a hard bowel movement, I decided to take matters into my own hands and started using those suppositories along with the Detralex because this whole situation has been a nightmare for a while now.👎

I have to admit, the bleeding has stopped and the pain isn't what it used to be—actually, I don't have any pain at all right now. Whether it's the Detralex or the suppositories, I have no clue.
I see some people claiming internal hemorrhoids aren't painful, but I'm not buying that; it hurt like hell, and the burning felt like someone had shoved a hot coal up my ass!😢

I started out by taking three sets of two tablets a day for the first four days, then scaled back to two sets of two for the next three, before finally settling into a steady routine of two single tablets a day once I cracked open the second box.
Is it wise to move forward with the twice-daily regimen using this third box?

I’ve been to the proctologist twice now, only to be told I have first-degree internal hemorrhoids. His grand solution? Just slather on some Faktu cream, which, frankly, hasn't done much more than provide a false sense of security. After a particularly rough bout of constipation left me bleeding, I decided to stop playing by the book and started taking Detralex on my own, alongside some Faktu suppositories. These things have been tormenting me for far too long to just sit around waiting for a cream to work its magic.👎

I have to admit, the bleeding has finally stopped, and those pains I used to deal with? They’ve vanished—honestly, they aren't even on my radar anymore. Whether it was the Detralex or those injections that did the trick, I haven't the slightest clue.
I see some people claiming they didn't feel any internal discomfort, but I have to strongly disagree. For me, the pain was absolutely excruciating—it felt like being dragged through hell itself, or as if someone had shoved a red-hot branding iron straight up my backside.😢

Perhaps you could consider sticking with the 2x1 long-term strategy—you know, the one focused on protection.

I should probably just mention my own experience with Paul. It was a complete waste of money, honestly. The hemorrhoid cream from Enclave works just as fast, if not faster, and it’s 12 TIMES cheaper. If you just pair it with some ointment, it's plenty for milder external cases.

It’s not just about how things look. What if you have a partner who—just like me—is absolutely obsessed with every kind of detailed anal play? It's hard to ignore.

So what am I supposed to do?

Thanks

Those little bumps are just the start, much like the itching.
I dealt with an external hemorrhoid last year—about 0.2 inches wide. My doctor told me to stick with some Faktu ointment, stay active, and take plenty of chamomile baths.
After a month of using the ointment, it finally receded.
But there's still this bluish vein that won't budge.
If I sit for too long one day, the next day the itching and pain come right back.
Basically, that heavy pressure feeling.

Anyway, there's a chance you have internal ones too. Not trying to freak you out, but they don't always bleed.
Regardless, I don't think it's smart to keep up with the "anal play" you mentioned. No doctor is going to recommend that if you actually want to get rid of these things!
Besides, if your partner doesn't mind playing around down there, why should they care if your hemorrhoids are visible? Still, you really ought to scale it back until the symptoms clear up.

By the way, has anyone tried Quest Diagnostics?
