...saw this guy on TV the other day
...just caught him for the first time 😳

...the movie was freaking awesome 🙏

...those little legal loopholes they played with, and the whole plot... man, it was seriously 👍

...anyway, I liked the movie 🙂

The movie has some pretty funny jokes and great moments where the characters just roast each other, though there are definitely a few clumsy bits here and there. Still, I kind of enjoyed it, especially the part where they depict God as a woman.😛

Dogma is total garbage. 👎

All joking aside, Smith's only truly worthwhile film was Clerks.
Dogma, along with Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back, are nothing more than repetitive variations on a theme... (unsuccessful ones, if you ask me—but then again, who’s asking my opinion? 😁 )

That said, I have heard whispers that Smith is working on a new project.
Though, honestly, it is hard to imagine there could be anything truly fresh there, even if a sane person were actually calling the shots behind the camera...😁

Furthermore, there has been some recent chatter in the industry circles about him releasing a massive collection of all his masterpieces across eight (8) DVDs...

Then again, people used to say Cicollina would get her own plaza in Italy, and we all know how that turned out. 😁

In short—as is always the case—you shouldn't take everything at face value. 😬

I'd say Dogma is alright, though I’m inclined to agree that Trader is Smith's best work and Jay & Silent Bob Strikes Back is easily his worst... but hey, who knows? Jersey Girl Another solid movie in the making... though right now, it’s still a work in progress. The Green Hornet

Watching Dogma again, and honestly, it’s not as bad as I remembered... The script is actually pretty sharp, and it’s obvious Kevin Smith was trying to pivot away from his usual style... Maybe the pacing trips up a bit, but the biggest issue is definitely Linda Fi... her facial expressions and that whole delivery really drag the movie down.

There is zero chance I'll ever like that movie, and honestly, I don't get why everyone else thinks it's anything but brainless.
For me, it was pure torture... I seriously almost died of boredom in the theater a few years back just trying to sit through it.
But hey, if you love that kind of stuff, be my guest!👋

Dogma is an absolute masterpiece 👍 I could honestly sit through it a hundred times without getting bored

If I had to rank Kevin Smith's filmography, I’d probably go with Chasing Amy, Trader, Dogma, Mallrats, then Jay and Silent Bob 👎 though that last one is just pure, unadulterated nonsense.

For me, nothing beats that scene where Alanis walks out of the church at the end, tries to nail a handstand against a tree, and just wipes out on the first attempt.😂😂

Honestly, this movie was totally unnecessary. It would’ve been better if they'd just stuck to a decent bar scene.

The first time I watched it, I was completely let down. Between the arrogant acting and the cliché plot, it was basically 🙂

But, watching it again, it was actually alright. I knew exactly what I was getting into, so I didn't expect much 🙂

I agree, 👍 and I also found that scene quite amusing where she just unexpectedly punches her right in the nose after being asked a question, don't you think? 😁
The film itself is decent enough, though I must admit that Ben Affleck tends to get on my nerves a little bit.🙂

Personally, I think the film is absolute garbage, much like Merchant or Chasing Amy, and I can barely even recall Mallrats.
But honestly? The movie is hilarious to me. What makes it especially special in my eyes is how it (in my humble opinion) managed to strike right at the heart of religion—whether you're talking about Christianity or any other faith. But hey, feel free to laugh at me if you want.😁
