Well, they’re all fantastic films, truly. Though, I suppose I have to say that Kill Bill just doesn't quite belong in that same league for me. Maybe it's just my taste, but I guess it's not quite there.

The first one's a masterpiece, but the sequel? Total letdown..

Sure. I suppose I can do that. I think.😉 I actually have that one in my home collection too. I picked it up a few months back—I really should get around to watching it again. Honestly, maybe it's just me, but The Apartment is right up there alongside that film.

You make a fair point; the dominance of Hollywood is obvious enough, though it isn't exactly a revelation given how much Asian cinema has permeated our culture lately. But claiming the legend of autumn among five must-watch films belongs in a home collection??!!!!????? For whom?? I suppose some bored housewives might find it useful...

Most people grow up on American movies, then slowly branch out into international cinema as they mature. When I was a kid, my "must-watch" list consisted strictly of Stallone and Schwarzenegger—I didn't have the slightest clue who Kieslowski or Visconti were back then..

As for me, I practically lived on Steven Seagal movies, and to this day, I can recite the entire script of "siege" from memory...
