At first aid today, someone asks, "Who's this guy on your ID?" then this Cristiano Ronaldo just kicks him out. 😂

But if a mosquito wakes me up in the middle of the night, I just move to a different room. Baby steps, man. Even if you think that's hypocritical, hey, at least I'm doing something right.

do you really think someone shouldn't give a damn about non-human life just because they're a carnivore? Like, since you had chicken for lunch, does that mean you can just squash a bug later because "whatever, I eat meat anyway"?

In theory, a mosquito could actually drive you out of your own house. You head into the living room only to find "Mirko" the mosquito waiting for you, so where do you go then?

Any real pro would just download one of those mosquito repellent apps and call it a day.

It seems someone is trying to tell us they'll be behind the wheel very soon. ☕

But what if you're living in a studio apartment? 🍿

I’m not talking about basic human impulses or a twisted psyche here, of course. Naturally, I am completely against killing animals for sport, or out of boredom, or whatever other senseless reason one might have...

It really comes down to tradition and how we're raised.
There are different categories of animals, right? You've got pets, then you've got wild animals, and then there's livestock, and so on. You have a totally different emotional connection to each group.

Like Rols said, "meat only exists to taste good."

What seems totally normal to us here in the States might be seen as insane somewhere else, and vice versa. But look, if Americans view pets as part of the family, fine—when your parrot dies, you don't toss it in a frying pan, you bury it or whatever. So, go ahead and slaughter the chicken; it was raised for that exact purpose. Someone who keeps a chicken or a pig as a pet isn't going to even think about killing it.

To make a long story short, if you have a pet, you simply don't have the right to take its life just because you feel like it. At least, you don't have the moral right.

The whole debate about meat isn't just an ethical thing; it's a massive health issue too. I've heard from people working at the border several times that imported meat often arrives looking green or blue, and they have to inject it just to make it look normal by the time it hits the grocery store shelves. If you don't believe me, feel free to look into it... And don't even get me started on how those poor chickens are pumped full of hormones and antibiotics, which we then end up consuming ourselves.

Some people here actually seem to root for meat that's loaded with hormones, but I won't stray too far from the main point

It also makes you wonder if raising this much livestock is even justifiable, considering it's one of the primary drivers behind the depletion of the ozone layer.

Plant-based alternatives are honestly much healthier, unless you're getting meat from a trusted, local farm. For instance, hemp protein has all the necessary amino acids, and I think spirulina is great too.

And let's be real, nobody can honestly claim that animals don't have feelings and suffer—whether it's cows, dogs, cats, or pigs... though I guess we're still figuring out the insect side of things

Anyone who kills a cat or a dog for no reason is a sick individual, but what really gets under my skin are these so-called "animal lovers." I remember recently when about 10 wild boars charged into a city and started causing absolute mayhem. They stormed into libraries, local cafes, and—obviously—people had to put them down. Yet, these "animal rights activists" have the nerve to cry about the legal consequences for the people who actually had to stop them. 🤦🤦

True, since dogs are cuter than roaches. But honestly, it's not even about the public outcry. I won't even swat a mosquito because I don't feel like taking a life just because it's buzzing in my ear and keeping me up. I'm not that important, and my sleep isn't either.

brightpilot6 said:Well, isn't it perfectly natural for us to feel this way about dogs and cats, considering we've shared our homes with them for thousands of years? Besides, the more complex and large an organism is, the more weight its life seems to carry, doesn't it? It makes us naturally more sensitive to the loss of such life.

Most people don't go out of their way to kill cockroaches or mosquitoes just for the hell of it; they do it because those things pose a genuine health risk.

If I ever saw someone actually taking pleasure in crushing a mosquito, I'd probably have to conclude they were a complete idiot.

Most people just kill cockroaches because they're gross, and mosquitoes because they're annoying. Honestly.

Give me a break with that vegan nonsense. Look, I agree with parts of what you wrote, but you completely lost me (and frankly pissed me off) with that stupid hemp talk. Animal protein and plant protein will never be the same thing. I’d rather live until 60 eating meat than live to 100 on plants. I don't need that crap; screw a meal without meat.

And another thing, you're talking about steroids like you actually know what they are, but you clearly haven't a clue. So stop trying to start a conversation about something you know nothing about.

I can't live without meat. I eat it because it tastes great, and nothing green can ever compete with that flavor.

Out of habit, I still eat meat, though it’s fairly rare for me—maybe once a week at most. To be honest, I just find other foods more enjoyable. It’s a bit frustrating when vegetarians start lecturing me about how much an animal suffered or similar sentiments, if you know what I mean. At the end of the day, it's all part of the cycle of life; the strong consume the weak. That is simply how the world is designed.🤷

Half the animals would probably eat you anyway, so what would he even say?
People talk too much crap.
It’s funniest when someone refuses to eat something because they think it has toxins, yet they drink alcohol, pop pills, and smoke cigarettes while worrying about their food. 😂

Even on this forum, you can see how loysek—who barely touches meat—is acting all Buddha-like, while Peter Thompson4 and his crew of hardcore carnivores are just constantly ranting about big agribusiness... ☕

Dammit, that's like saying: I feel best when a soccer player avoids a yellow card when he's already on one.
Drinking or smoking isn't the same thing as immune system health.

I kill mosquitoes because I'm allergic to the bites.
Ticks don't feel pain—not that they'd get a chance in my case—and they have no feelings or consciousness, just reflex reactions.

We coexist with dogs and cats. They aren't a threat to us, nor are they a food source. Acting that way really just points to a disturbed individual who can't be trusted within society.

Evolution actually shapes us to feel that way toward things that could potentially be dangerous.
