And most importantly, they need Bandić’s touch—so both he and Mamić could finally take a breather today.

It’s pathetic. Year after year, this circus they call America just gets more and more ridiculous. 🤣

In a way, it’s actually for the best—let them finish what they started back during the "saintly" Franjo era, so we can finally hit rock bottom and get it over with. We aren't exactly far off anyway.

Honestly, Petrov is an absolute embarrassment. You have to be incredibly narrow-minded to act like that. 🤦

In just one month, Božo Petrov has managed to sink even lower than Joe Biden or Mike Pence, guys who have been working on their reputations for years. Since everyone knows how I feel about the Republican Party—basically, they're the ones burying the American dream—I can only wish him a swift political exit. It’s obvious to anyone with eyes that the Republicans aren't going to let him touch a single thing on that "reform" wishlist of his.

I actually think Mike Pence might end up being Prime Minister.

Božo just completely trashed the Democratic Party, and now he’s essentially... 👋

Božo, honestly, damn you... those of us who actually voted for you would probably do it all over again, but go ahead and run off with whoever you want. I won't be spitting on you just yet... there's still plenty of time left for that...

Sure he will—but given how this whole thing is playing out, it wouldn't be a shock if they showed up to the Congressional inauguration only to find themselves a seat or two short. It’d be a total disaster.

Wait, I just realized the local Republican Party backed Bandić’s budget today—basically giving a green light to a guy facing multiple criminal charges to keep riding his high as mayor of the capital.

By doing this, they’ve basically been enabling this criminal activity long before they even officially took power.🙏 🙏 It’s pure surrealism.🙏 🤣

Of course it isn't about the decision itself, but rather the clumsy way he went about it—specifically, his entire approach over this last month and a half. If he had just pivoted toward the Republican Party a week after the election, I might have just snorted and thought, "Fine, whatever, that's your prerogative."

But this whole theatrical farce, where he ended up performing the most ridiculous mental gymnastics imaginable just to honor either his own word or someone else's initial intention? Honestly, it felt like nothing more than a way to make us all look like fools.

I honestly want that to happen. Why hide it? There’s really no reason to be coy about it.

Look, you’re operating under the assumption that he was a Republican partisan from the start, or that there's some hidden agenda driving him toward them.

I don't think 🤷 he had a reason or an opportunity to jump ship every single day for the last month... why wait until today? I have no idea, and I certainly won't bother guessing, especially not ten hours after the announcement. I'm sure we'll eventually uncover the full truth, whenever that may be...

I hold that assumption because it was confirmed by insiders—specifically, members of his own circle who were ultimately shown the door precisely because they resisted that direction. Isn't it just simple logic that when the only people being pushed out are those standing against the Republican Party, it tells a much louder story than any theory could? I honestly don't see how anyone can just look past that.

They got handed a red card because they went rogue during negotiations and tried to poach representatives on their own.

Based on everything he signed and advocated for, there should have been some actual negotiations held. Looking at his approach and how he handled those statements tonight, it’s obvious this whole thing was a farce from the jump. In the end, you really see how right Stipe Petrin was—everyone’s been spitting venom about him being exhausting, but he called it.

And let's not forget, one of our political forum members mentioned just a week or two ago how disappointed they were with everything they discovered regarding Bridge, and here is their latest update:

What’s the deal with the cards? The Bridge party got dealt a bad hand right from the start, especially since they basically moved in with one minister and Petrin never even bothered to hide which side he was playing for. It was entirely earned...

Now, if someone actually sat Petrov down today and said, "Enough games, you know who you have to align with," then we're looking at a plotline worthy of a prime-time reality TV thriller, suggesting someone orchestrated this entire mess just to reach this point...

As for who is close to whom, people naturally gravitate toward certain sides; most lean toward the Republican Party, while a smaller group favors the Democratic Party, which isn't surprising given where the core of the Bridge party sits...

Honestly, I don't see anything changing tomorrow either; someone will inevitably screw up again, and Kolinda will step in to cut the Gordian knot, sending us straight back to new elections...

Well, man, that’s just how things go sometimes, isn't it? Not like we aren't used to seeing this kind of stuff play out here in the States. But after that whole spectacle today and those direct accusations being thrown around publicly, he's still stubbornly refusing to release the logs of who called whom and when. He keeps acting like, "Oh, we aren't going to engage in my dick witch hunt," 🤣

My dick witch hunt? Please. We both know we’re never actually going to see the evidence regarding those alleged phone calls.

That was Petrin speaking—someone we already know would only consider a deal with the Democratic Party, regardless of the circumstances. He wouldn't have dealt with the Republican Party even if everything had been perfectly settled two days later. Then you have Bridge, who got booted from the Republican Party and clearly wanted revenge—acting behind Petrov's back...

It'll show up right along with the IFO institute's economic forecast. ☕
