So, look, we can hash this out right here—the real culprits behind all of this have to be Grandma and Grandpa ☕

Alcohol was ultimately the culprit here.

As Zinedine Zidane pointed out, there isn't much left to say about this situation. It reminds me of that recent tragedy involving the young woman; it’s often those who seem to have everything handed to them on a silver platter who struggle most to value what they actually possess. If these people had been sent out to work a field instead of driving around in Mercedes-Benz cars since they were eighteen, wouldn't they be thinking quite differently?

I’ll never get it. There’s zero substance here, yet somehow this has been the biggest thing everyone in America has talked about for the last five days.

What kills me is how everyone is suddenly playing the sympathy card for the parents. If this guy had taken out two other people instead, they’d be busy pinning all the blame on them.

I guess I just feel the most sympathy for the poor kid.

I mean, I'll point the finger at his environment, the violent lifestyle, and just pure poverty. But honestly? Nothing a few years of rehab won't fix and turn him into a model citizen. 👍

Look, I’d cut the poverty angle—it clearly wasn't an issue here—but I get the point. Still, it's such a massive mess that nobody's getting a second chance. Doing some damage control now? Sure. But honestly, it's already over.

Another thing? I’d add free, full neurological screenings to the social safety net. Just get them on a schedule every few years—whatever the doctors think makes sense. Science already shows that people dealing with mental health issues have different brain scans and reaction patterns. It's just basic stuff.

I guess they’re just as responsible here, too. It's just that, you know, they really messed up. Maybe if the father had been one of those decent, straight-laced cops, the kid wouldn't have had anyone to rebel against or act like an idiot. 🙂

you actually know what happened behind the scenes or are you just guessing?

So what are people actually discussing? They just ask "did you see that?" and shake their heads in disbelief. The media outlets are absolutely flooded with this stuff because, at the end of the day, they're just chasing clicks.

Speculating about some deep-seated external causes feels like nothing more than pure hysteria; are we really expected to believe that every spoiled kid out there is suddenly a potential killer?

To be honest, I’m not entirely sure how much weight parents carry in this equation. Maybe they bear the brunt of responsibility for poor upbringing, but if you ask me, society plays a massive role in shaping young people. You see plenty of parents doing everything by the book, yet because there's such a concentrated pool of idiots out there today, some perfectly decent kids fall in with the wrong crowd and turn into completely different people within a year. I'm speaking generally here, not specifically about this case.

What really gets under my skin are these self-righteous crusaders who spend all their time trashing the country and complaining about crime, only to turn around and steal or act like thugs themselves, hurting people who are just trying to earn an honest living. They pose as these pillars of morality—there are plenty of them among the hooligans, especially those who are against Mamić (and look, I am 100% on their side regarding him)—but then they go off to cause trouble in some local bar or jump someone just for looking at them sideways. What does Mamić have to do with that?

Switching gears here, but I was wondering if you guys actually use a VPN, and if so, which one are you running?

ugh ☕

If he’d spent his time swinging an axe or hauling bags of cement instead of posing for Facebook with the grumpiest face imaginable in front of some luxury ride he didn't even earn—decked out in gold and silver chains—maybe we wouldn't be here...

but who knows, maybe we would...

My absolute favorite story has to be that one guy from rural Pennsylvania—I think it was back in the late 90s—who spent his entire day drinking some local version of a heavy malt liquor with his wife and son, and then he just completely lost it that night and killed her because he genuinely thought she was a fox...

Honestly, let the first person throw a stone if they haven't had a moment like that in their lives.

You know, the blue one with the square icon.

I wrote that just to make a point. My argument is that we shouldn't hand everything to kids on a silver platter because it often backfires; they fail to appreciate what they have, they lose respect for their parents, and they grow up expecting the world to serve them everything without effort.

Of course, things might have turned out differently; perhaps he would have lost his mind and caused some sort of catastrophe if he had been spending five hours a day meditating at a Shaolin temple since he was a child, but the core idea remains: children shouldn't be allowed to have every single whim catered to.

Sure, they talk big, but even among us hooligans, you’ve got doctors, physicists, and sociologists.🤣

Nothing Against Fans (ZZD and the rest) who stay out of trouble and stand against criminals like Mamić, the HNS, and the rest, but these actual hooligans who cause real damage are fascinating to me. Like that guy who stormed the field at the stadium. As if you don't get it—it's "against the HNS." I get it, but that doesn't change the fact that it's hard to support that move. The guy who rushed the field doesn't have much going on upstairs; normal people don't do that.

And then there's the one who killed his parents. I read about it and it doesn't even move me. I don't know. I remember certain events from the 90s that truly shook me, but it seems like we, as a society, have gone totally numb to certain things. Everything has become so extreme no matter where you look.

What, are you lacking a toothpick or something?

P.S. Don't go losing sleep over hooligans; it’s not like you're actually attending the games anyway. 😁

The point isn't that I'm being soft—it's actually the exact opposite—it's just that I've looked into it and there's a massive amount of absolute garbage VPN crap out there with all these monthly subscriptions that's just a total scam.
