People were losing their minds over that procession on Maui until it finally came out that the Church wasn't even running the show or asking for permits. Truth be damned, outlets like BuzzFeed and Tijs don't give a damn about the facts—they just live for the drama and having something to trash.

I know exactly what you were getting at 😉, but it's just classic behavior for a hardcore Catholic zealot—you take a little jab, pull back, and then act like you're being all innocent and silly. 🙂

Everyone’s gonna see him, including you. Only problem is, when it actually happens, you'll probably think you're having a schizophrenic episode instead of realizing it's real.😉

I have to admit, I’m a bit surprised to see something like this coming from restlesssurfer97 and the Pope.

But then again, I suppose these are just the times we live in.

I'm afraid you missed the point restlesssurfer97. She got a story.

restlesssurfer97 said:The bottom line is that this woman basically manufactured a whole drama out of thin air because the church was empty—which, honestly, I’m still wrapping my head around myself—so there was zero actual substance to work with. She walked inside, ran straight into a total jerk, and then got exactly what she wanted: a confrontation she could spin into some big headline. If that guy hadn't stepped up and shut her down, she would've almost certainly marched right up to the altar, filming everything closer and closer until someone else intervened, and when nobody stopped her, she probably would've started badgering those poor old ladies sitting in the pews just to fish for some ridiculous quote so she could make the whole country laugh at how clueless these religious types are.

And if, by some chance, she couldn't squeeze a headline out of that, she’d probably just strip down and pee right on the church steps,
put on a vacant expression, and wait for the fallout... anything to secure a scoop ☕
instead of actually touring the city to find a real story—like a Corona party (I walked past one yesterday)—she chooses to deal with this nonsense 🙄 well, perhaps next time she might actually think twice...

Elizabeth Mendoza said:So, is that the same church he said he'd reopen? I think I read somewhere a few days ago about some guy announcing he'd be holding Mass there. Is that the one?

This whole situation just keeps getting better and better.🤣

Of course it's her 🤣

She clearly went there hunting for a scandal, especially since the priest has been announcing Mass and inviting people for days. I'm actually pleasantly surprised by the turnout, but the rogue priest is still being left out to dry while the Archbishop and the cops all wash their hands of him.

Clown, you’re honestly just desperate to label me as "imaginative" or schizophrenic. That's a pretty decent clown move, using such a heavy vocabulary against someone you're clearly just venting at. 🐔

I can't believe I actually let myself get sucked into this argument 🤣

This priest is a total moron, just like the journalists and everyone who showed up for the service—not that anyone knew how many people would turn out, I guess. And honestly, I'm a moron too for even engaging with this whole thing.

restlesssurfer97 said:People really just see whatever they want to see, you know?

I walked into that empty church and honestly, it just forced me to sit there and rethink everything about life.

I figure you, and even Elizabeth Mendoza, are both smart enough to actually sit with that thought for a second and really process it.

For me, it just made closing churches seem like a no-brainer. They could've had services held a few times a day, maybe even a sign-up sheet so everyone knew who was there and when, plus hand sanitizer, gloves, masks, social distancing... I mean, if you have 10-15 people, just disinfect the whole place before and after mass. What actually caught me off guard—and wasn't exactly pleasant—was seeing how much conformism and materialism have already crawled deep into the church's soul.

it's funny how you're doing the exact same thing by playing it down, just like Elizabeth Mendoza and Anthony Jackson2.

yeah, sure, she'd grab a crucifix from the altar, snap it over her knee, and then pee all over it. 🙄

But I’m sitting here watching this video, and honestly, I think I’m feeling that exact same sense of shock as that woman when she walks in and sees everything just empty, though for her, it’s more like getting hit by a 6+1 jackpot on a lottery ticket from the right side 🤣

I agree with you, restlesssurfer97. In this specific instance, I don't feel much empathy for the reporter's injuries because she achieved her goal—a scandal and a headline.

On the other hand, looking back at how these things go, the police should have prevented the gathering, and the priest's church should have been retired and replaced by someone sensible. That will happen eventually, but likely too late...

A priest told FOX, "The Pope should just do whatever he wants, a Mass is a Mass."🤣

Pretty decent clown, I guess.

Honestly, don't even bother commenting on him—we're talking about a priest who actually tells people they're possessed by the devil during Easter services.🤦

'It’s blindingly obvious in America right now that there’s a literal manhunt out for journalists—they've basically manufactured this whole atmosphere where reporters are being lynched and blamed for every single thing that goes wrong.'

Honestly, you've been catching me by surprise lately too.
Was an empty church supposed to be the story? 🤔

Or are you really going that low, actually implying that I'm saying she deserved to get beaten—which, by the way, she didn't—just to make a point?

Of course she was looking for a story; that’s literally what a journalist does. And honestly, she found one just by the sheer fact that the mice were being kept there in the first place.

Yet, according to your logic, she was also looking for aggression. It’s actually quite surprising to see such a stance—it feels dangerous when people make these kinds of sweeping judgments from a distance without really thinking it through. Isn't it essentially providing a moral excuse for anyone who happens to dislike a certain reporter to just label them as nitpicky or something similar?

I suppose we should apply that same logic to all the journalists who faced heat from folks like Bandic or Mamic, shouldn't we? At the end of the day, they simply got exactly what they went looking for.

The cops are just getting in the way, especially the local precinct. These guys roaming the streets are acting like total clowns, let alone the local officers. You should tell those cops to back off. Say something like, "Hey, look at this kid, he's just a teenager," or "He grew up right under your nose, you've known him since he was a little kid." What's the point in picking a fight with him? For all you know, he’s a great kid who treats his family right and even sat down for dinner with you once.
