Not exactly. Or at least, not on a regular basis. But I am well aware that there are still media outlets out there that don't just follow the same biased line as BuzzFeed or its ilk.

I don't even bother touching those ultra-right-wing rags, you know, the ones like Breitbart or whatever else they call themselves these days, because honestly, it’s just an echo chamber for the far-right crowd anyway. And BuzzFeed? It’s basically just pure clickbait garbage, and if you look at Telegram, everything there is dripping with nothing but heavy sarcasm...

Man, just throw some names my way, give me a list of actual media outlets, maybe I'll find something that's totally flying under my radar right now.

Well, it’s a mixed bag. You have the local tabloids leaning heavily toward the Catholic Church, while USA Today stays relatively balanced, at least in theory. Then there’s CNN—honestly, their bias is so blatant you can practically see it dripping from the screen in most segments. So, if you’re looking for something different, you’re pretty much stuck with BuzzFeed or the sarcastic commentary over on Telegram. That covers most of the heavy hitters, though I wouldn't dismiss those more conservative outlets; I suspect a significant chunk of the population still finds them essential reading.

I don't really bother with the New York Post, and I definitely don't watch CNN (unless it's MSNBC), though I might glance at USA Today, but honestly, I find them pretty middle-of-the-road, if you know what I mean. Even N1 is always dragging them through the mud, I think I mentioned that before.

Those ultra-right-wing rags are basically read by a tiny circle of people, I just can't wrap my head around anyone else actually picking them up. I refuse to believe it.

But look, just because you aren't reading or watching all that doesn't mean it isn't out there happening.

And honestly, what does "tearing someone apart" even mean in this context? To me, the only outlet that truly spits venom is BuzzFeed; Telegram certainly isn't doing that, nor is N1. Sure, there's plenty of criticism and perhaps a general opposing stance, but actual vitriol? I doubt it.

N1 isn't exactly playing fair here, they lean pretty heavily to the left, so you can bet any criticism aimed at the right side is going to be way more intense.
You also can't ignore how much influence those media outlets have, especially since BuzzFeed is basically the most visited site in the Middle East, and man, they absolutely tear into the Catholic Church there.

Look, the initial argument was that they were getting special treatment, but if you ask me, they actually get dragged through the mud by the media way more than they get any perks, though hey, that's just my take on it.

Plus, almost all the columnists are against them, even the ones over at USA Today.

The media is basically 99% negative propaganda and maybe 1% positive fluff when it's a holiday. Don't act like you don't see it.

Fine then, why don't you actually point out this "negative propaganda" you're whining about?
Every time I turn on CNN, it's the exact same thing—nothing but attacks against the Catholic Church
Or take the BBC, for instance

Besides, who exactly is forcing you to go looking for news on BuzzFeed?
It's a private media outlet. What exactly do you expect me to defend there...

Look, CNN is public broadcasting basically run by politicians—whatever the administration is, that's what the news is. When the Democrats were in charge, they didn't give a damn, and now that the Republicans are in, it's the same story. All the mainstream outlets have this subtle way of constantly screwing over the church—well, mostly in terms of negative versus positive coverage. They'll run a massive exposé on some absolute creep of a priest, even if there are 200 other priests doing actual good work through soup kitchens, shelters, Catholic Charities, and all that stuff.

He’s only ever talking about hostile media outlets, you clearly missed the point. Why on earth would he bother reading "their" news when he knows they only push "his" agenda? He just hangs around BuzzFeed, waiting to whine about how the poor Catholic Church, its priests, and the believers are being targeted—it's just endless, predictable anti-Christian whining ☕

edit: there he goes, confirming it by using CNN as his prime example, good grief

Look, I’m not one to play the defender for anyone—really, I'm not—but the double standards in the media are honestly nauseating. When are we actually going to see some mainstream outlets digging into the shady dealings of these "non-profit" organizations? Instead, it’s always the same old story: nothing but glowing coverage about how they’re all just heroes fighting for justice, freedom, and democracy. It's exhausting.

That's just not true. If we're talking about religious organizations, they basically get dragged through the mud ☕

I haven't touched BuzzFeed in years—maybe ten, give or take. I'll only click a link if someone posts something actually interesting, but otherwise, I have zero desire to visit that shady little tabloid. It's owned by people who owe millions in taxes and probably belong in prison, along with a whole lot of others.

It is because the masses require their daily dose of mindless repetition; they crave the familiar chime of the bells they have been conditioned to follow, and this particular outlet services that demand with industrial efficiency. Once one actually ventures beneath the surface of their reporting, the sheer superficiality of such journalism becomes glaringly obvious.

For the majority, it is more than sufficient—BuzzFeed provides the filler, while the sheep provide the numbers. It is a highly effective business model. 🤷

So you actually admitted that 99 percent of it is total garbage.
You aren't exactly winning any arguments for the faithful, my friend...
Even Cak confirmed the exact opposite of what you're claiming.

Total disaster...

I guess that’s why you’re boycotting those corrupt news outlets like MSNBC too, huh?

Poor cashiers. They’re absolutely exhausted just from sitting at the register all day and stacking boxes on the shelves. Only a six-hour shift, too. 🙏

Let’s go ask one of those fishermen what he thinks about their little complaints. He’s out there with hands raw from the wind, hauling heavy nets and lugging crates upon crates of fish while dealing with freezing ice.
