Elizabeth Mendoza said:Poor cashiers. They’re absolutely exhausted just from sitting at the register all day and stacking boxes on the shelves. Only a six-hour shift, too. 🙏

Let’s go ask one of those fishermen what he thinks about their little complaints. He’s out there with hands raw from the wind, hauling heavy nets and lugging crates upon crates of fish while dealing with freezing ice.

Have you ever actually worked a register, you clown? What would you even know? Honestly, these cashiers have powers like Yoda—milk pallets just sort themselves onto the shelves. You’re officially dumber than I am.

So, let me get this straight... warehouse workers don't even work on Sundays anymore? Is that really how things are operating now?...

I mean, forklift drivers and warehouse staff get Sundays off, obviously. But you see the cashiers over there trying to build some kind of human pyramid just to lift pallets? I guess if you didn't notice that, you weren't really looking.

A fisherman is only off the clock maybe seven to ten days a month.

And on all the other days, they're just pulling 6-hour shifts.

What kind of dick pallet are you talking about? Have you ever even heard of a manual pallet jack? Every single damn store has them now. Cashiers in even the smallest corner shops don't unload the freight; the guys from the delivery trucks do that, dumping everything straight into the stockroom. A cashier just grabs a box here or there when they need to fill a shelf.

I'm not going to sit here and list every single job I've held in my life, because I've done just about everything. A huge chunk of that was heavy physical labor where I spent hours on my feet in factories and production plants. I also worked those famous cash registers at two different stores—one with high-tech gear, and twice during the holiday rush where I was on my feet all day long.

Cashier work isn't at the top of the list for physically demanding jobs, but it definitely tops the list for how much it wears out your tongue while you're working.

I guess maybe out of those six bars, at least three would be spent just soaking up the sun on a boat somewhere.

Hahaha, man, you seriously have no clue—what warehouse worker? We’re talking about those massive Walmarts or big-box stores, not the other 90% of regular local shops out there. A warehouse worker? LOL, give me a break.

Honestly, I couldn't care less about some kid whining on Reddit about how hard his job is or how much he "deserves" time off... oh wait, actually, I really do.

One Sunday, the elevator insurance in my building went kaput. It was maybe an hour of labor plus $33 some minor supplies, yet I was slapped with a bill for $110. They called three different technicians—all independent contractors—and not a single one would show up. One was busy prepping lunch, another was mid-coffee break, and the third claimed he’d be glued to the couch all day watching football 😂

This forum is full of actual decent people; over here, you have a crew that actually jumps up on a Sunday to fix excavators and tractors. Honestly, I can't help but admire them without adding a little sarcasm to the mix.

Look, dude, I'm telling you—there’s a Walmart right near my office that actually has a dedicated stock clerk just for that tiny two-square-foot storage closet in their corner shop. They even gave him one of those little mini forklifts so he doesn't blow out his back.

The only thing is, it doesn't come with all the bells and whistles of a big one. When he goes into reverse, he has to yell "BEEP BEEP BEEP" just so he doesn't plow right into Mrs. Miller while she's reading the paper and sipping her coffee in the corner.

And besides, you can't blame the fish for not biting when there's no bait, it’s just part of God's design.

I mean, seriously, who the hell actually said that physical labor is some kind of noble calling? Like, give me a break.

For fuck's sake, yeah—exactly. You get this massive pallet of milk delivered and you just have to haul the whole damn thing over to the display area yourself.

He just puts in whatever hours are necessary, I guess.

Though, if I may be so bold, perhaps you might reconsider lecturing me on work ethic when none of you actually started pulling a real paycheck until recently.👍

Honestly, stop embarrassing yourself.
If you’re already stuck on vacation, do yourself a favor and actually read a book for once. Do something productive for your own development. Try to sharpen your perspectives because, frankly, you're constantly missing the mark.
I’d highly recommend Sapiens.
It actually challenges your intellect, trust me.
You aren't cut out for smooth talking, and you certainly aren't built for actual debate...

Socrates' defense isn't a bad read either.
No joke...

I suppose a bad electrician dies from electrocution, whereas a good one tends to pass away from too much bourbon.

I honestly don't know what kind of grocery stores you're hitting up if they're leaving milk sitting out on pallets. Every single store I go to keeps the milk tucked away in the refrigerators.🕺
