At the end of the day, it all boils down to one single question: if you were handed a ticket to see one of these two legends play live, who are you picking? Are you heading to the arena to watch LeBron James or Stephen Curry?

Such a great kid. 🙄

I’d definitely be there for Lakers vs Warriors...

or even Warriors vs Lakers

Me, I'm only watching Curry.

I guess since Curry's not being ranked among the absolute greatest players of all time, he maybe has more freedom to avoid being scrutinized quite so intensely.

Nothing, let's just move on. Is it Federer, or maybe Djokovic or Nadal? Or do we go with Pistol Pete or that high-octane Andre? What about Becker?

Probably the dumbest argument since the internet was invented. "I'd want to see both." 😵
Stephen Curry is such a spectacular player that you'd enjoy watching him on a 15-inch laptop, let alone live. Anyone who's ever been in an arena—even just watching some random US college game—knows how the atmosphere shifts when a guy hits four or five three-pointers in a row. Now imagine when he starts draining shots from 30 feet off the dribble, something maybe three guys in the entire league can even attempt.

In Northern Italy, death rates have climbed by 50% compared to this same window last year, while down South, they've actually dipped by 1.8%. It makes you wonder what's really driving such a stark divide, doesn't it?

I wonder what any of your people have to say about it.🙏

Jessica Gonzalez said:I see what you mean, but I guess the Cavaliers are a professional squad playing at the highest level of global basketball, based out of one of the major metropolitan hubs in the US. So, maybe compare them to somewhere like Budapest or New York rather than just some tiny town of 5,000 people.

Sure, it's a major metropolitan hub, but it was stuck in a massive slump for ages—specifically during the window when LeBron James arrived.
Maybe I went a bit overboard calling it "massive," and I was mostly thinking about how things fell apart with companies like Kamen Ingrad, but honestly, the Cavaliers' management was even more destructive than the city's local issues.

When you have the greatest talent since Michael Jordan, how do you spend seven years surrounding him with guys like Mo Williams, an aging Antawn Jamison, or Shaquille O'Neal? And then you have Mike Brown on the sidelines, who basically just embarrassed himself even after his time with the Cavaliers.

dustyviper8 said:That's true—the NBA was built on hatred and real rivalries. You can still see it today; look at how Isiah still can't stand Jordan, or how Lambier talks trash about the Bulls thirty years later just because he hates them.

The reason I think LeBron James will still be a topic of debate 30 years from now is simply because of the world we live in. Everything is instant—every piece of info, every game—and since LeBron has been the most popular basketball player for years, and the marketing is hyped to the moon, it compensates for the lack of old-school rivalries. I seriously doubt his legacy will fade once he retires.

Honestly, modern sports has gone to hell. I miss the hatred and the real rivalries.

It honestly saddens me that you aren't older, someone who actually lived through the golden age of the NBA. Those were magnificent times. We would wake up early for every single game being broadcasted on our networks. Kids today just don't grasp how massive basketball really was. It felt like there was high-stakes action every single day. And Michael Jordan? He was an absolute god. Every single one of us kids was obsessed with him. We all tried to mimic his style. No one has ever even come close to approaching his level. It is difficult to convey the sheer madness that surrounded Jordan. When he stepped away, the passion for the game slowly began to drain out. But if you had been alive back then, my God, what games we saw! Gritty, physical defense with constant contact, endless arguments, and actual fights. You had rivalries that bordered on blood feuds: New York vs Miami, Orlando vs Miami, Reggie Miller vs Michael Jordan, and the Pistons vs the Bulls. You had the wild Charles Barkley constantly picking fights with everyone. That is just a quick rundown from memory, but there was so much more. It was a crazy, beautiful era of the NBA. Over time, money and political correctness have destroyed everything, turning it into something plastic. Nowadays, people just watch to place bets, and that is really it.

I was just chatting with a guy who’s followed everything from Fagioli and Senna to Prost, Michael Schumacher, and Lewis Hamilton—quite the list! He looked me straight in the eye and insisted that Alain Prost is the absolute greatest of them all. 🤷

We need to get to some sort of rally ASAP 😁

Is Wayne Gretzky still the GOAT? Or has Sidney Crosby actually surpassed him?

I remember feeling quite nostalgic back when we used to head out after school to watch Ayus play. 🤣

I am fairly certain that before his arrival, teams like Split and Boston were struggling with something like sixteen consecutive losses, which led to headlines in the SD claiming that Split and Boston were locked in a dead heat.🤣

Wayne Gretzky's point totals and Jerry Rice's touchdown counts represent two records in American sports that I can almost guarantee won't be broken within my lifetime, provided the fundamental structure of these leagues remains unchanged.

To me, these are the two undisputed GOATs that simply cannot be compared to anyone else. Rice is a unique case because of his specific position, so I will limit my scope to him rather than the entire sport, but then again, there isn't a single position in the NFL where the gap between number one and number two is even remotely this massive.

So, I was reading about how researchers over in France were testing some old blood samples from patients who had been dealing with pneumonia, and they actually found traces of the coronavirus in one sample taken back on December 27th 🙏🙏🙏

btw.
The folks in Russia, who have been running these massive testing blitzes over the last two weeks, are seeing a mortality rate of just 0.93% 🙏🙏🙏
And we're talking about a huge group of 145,000 infected people here, so it's definitely not just some tiny, insignificant sample size.
