All these calls to ban the games would carry way more weight if the "real" topics were actually oases of wisdom or constructive debate instead...
Between all the endless pages of people trolling about how much away tickets cost, fans dissecting every single controversial play, or just straight-up trash-talking two or three of the biggest clubs in Spain—which basically means skipping over a bunch of boring pages in the thread—these demands for bans just end up sounding a little pathetic and unserious, you know?

After all, what purpose does a football forum even serve? 🤷

People seem to harbor these unrealistic and unjustified expectations regarding user-generated content like this forum, particularly when the subject is sports. While I certainly enjoy reading a thoughtful, expert analysis on a specific topic now and then, it is far from being something I expect to be served on a silver platter.

Regarding actual needs, in ninety percent of cases, I’m perfectly happy just listening to the collective voice of a fanbase regarding current events, or figuring out which rumors are legitimate and which are nonsense (something that becomes easy enough with a bit of experience and time spent here). If I can absorb that through a bit of banter along the way, well, that's just a bonus.

And it has been said countless times already—there are threads where trolling simply doesn't exist, like the ones for the Bundesliga or Ligue 1. There is plenty of room for everyone. Though, heaven knows, sometimes it's quite empty too.

PS - nobody was actually asking to abolish the side-games, just (potentially) moving them elsewhere.

Exactly, it’s hardly a "game killer" ☕

I have a vision where brighthound8 & the rest move over to the Miscellaneous subforum.

🤣 You two are such idiots, honestly, the world would be better off if you were never even invented.
But in principle, I actually like the idea of opening up a dedicated gaming subfolder within the Sports section, with its own chat threads. It would stop us from clogging up the Football, Basketball, and F1 boards with all this noise.

I’m thinking we should just call this sub-forum "Games." For heaven's sake, let's not go with something like "The Games Camp."

Look, let the moderators decide on that one—honestly. I don't have a problem with it per se, but we absolutely have to respect fair play.

Let there be some actual fair play—meaning basic respect for everyone involved.

True, it’s probably best not to squander the forum's resources; we wouldn't want to end up losing any of the many features currently at our disposal 🤦

There are games scattered all over this site 🤷

Honestly, what an absolute mess you all have made here. I mean, if even half of these posts had been remotely constructive, we might actually be getting somewhere instead of this nonsense 😳.

I would like to take this opportunity to formally propose Robert Torres for the position of moderator—or perhaps, to phrase it more precisely, as the editor-in-chief of this PDF document. He has been a fixture here for quite some time, consistently producing high-quality content while maintaining a sharp, irreverent sense of humor. Furthermore, he seems to possess the necessary fortitude required to tighten the reins on those absolute amateurs who insist on cluttering this corner of the internet with their nonsense.

But in all seriousness. ☕

If we follow his logic, nobody is going to get any yellow cards.

The yellow card will be replaced by a snort, and the red one by an elbow straight to the ribs.

Sheriff Robert 'Toma-hawk' Torres. Let the red cards fly like the blood of Spanish conquistadors.

'Tis the season... 👋

As you all probably know, the World Cup is hitting the States this year! And just like any massive international tournament, we’re setting up a dedicated sub-forum specifically for the competition. As per our usual tradition, we are looking for some enthusiastic volunteers to donate a bit of their precious time to craft those opening posts for the group threads covering each team in the tournament.
If you're feeling inspired and want to lend a hand, please reach out right here or shoot us a private message. We would honestly be so incredibly grateful for the help! 😳

Let the applications begin! ☕
