Fine. So, what kind of disciplinary action is the administration planning to hand down to Chuck?

He’s not going to face any sanctions. Looking at the posts that were left standing, there isn't actually anything there that warrants a violation. I can't quite recall exactly how the posts looked before they were edited, though. I have a bit of a memory of them, but nothing that I personally thought would lead to a strike. Sadly, I don't have a photographic memory, so I've already forgotten the original content. There was honestly so much stuff posted, and I really wasn't expecting them to just wipe out all the controversial parts.

Anyway, at this point, nobody is getting a strike retroactively.

What sheer luck that I happened to quote his post right when I was opening this thread!

Look, I really don't want to be selective about who I call out here, especially since there was so much going on in that mess.

So, let me get this straight: in your capacity as administrator, you refuse to discipline moderator Charles Fox10 because he is openly advocating for physical violence against children suffering from ADHD?

Brilliant.

From here on out, I request to be exempt from any moderator-led disciplinary actions. I give you my word that I won't commit any offense more egregious than a moderator actively endorsing violence against sick children.

How are we supposed to figure out what went wrong if everything has been deleted?

I’m honestly not quite sure what your issue is with Charles Fox10. From where I’m sitting, he seems like one of the better moderators we have on here, and I don't even know him personally.

Please, let’s be reasonable here—I would really advise against throwing out such silly ideas. If we aren't careful, some wannabe intellectuals might actually take them seriously, thinking they've found a golden opportunity to jump in and try to act smarter than everyone else.

I honestly find it hard to believe that the thread was locked on the grounds of supposedly inciting violence. If you ask me, it was shut down because of this massive uproar and the whole "witch hunt" vibe—it felt more like an Inquisition being carried out by a few self-righteous forum members.

There are definitely households where one parent refuses to discipline, which usually results in the other parent becoming the "designated enforcer" to balance things out.
In my case, my child received a punishment because they were being abusive toward me, even though I was never treated that way myself.

I first discovered this forum about a year ago and have read through a massive amount of threads. To be honest, I couldn't make heads or tails of most of the debates, mostly because the long-time users with hundreds of posts tend to act like they belong to some elite club, often "jumping" on any newcomer who tries to join in.
Because of that, I've set aside most of the pdf-ov, but my favorite topics remain the occasional TV jokes, health discussions, and MK.
For me, this forum is a place to relax, have some fun, and pick up interesting tidbits, and MK really is a standout favorite.
I actually managed to convince my son last night that the crew over at MK is fantastic and that the debates move as fast as a halftime show during an NFL game; now here I am reading and wondering just how far "human stupidity" can go (there's that saying, "the universe and human stupidity are infinite, but I'm not quite sure about the universe"—that quote by AE makes perfect sense to me right now).

👍
It is precisely as you say. It will remain closed for that very reason, though primarily it was shut down because I truly had no idea what was unfolding there (I did not actually read through it until a certain hour this morning).

To be perfectly clear, a statement was clumsily interpreted—it was somewhat ambiguous and poorly phrased, I must concede—which, if expanded, would have read as follows: I am including a disclaimer (and expressing my personal conviction) that I absolutely do not condone hitting, abusing, or being violent toward children (nor toward anyone else, regardless of gender or age), and I am closing this topic due to the reports filed regarding such matters, pending a consensus on how we shall proceed specifically.

Aaron, I must admit, you possess an undeniable intuition for these matters. 🙂
Since I have no desire to see that topic on MK edited according to the directives from RiDa (with all due respect to that document), it has been closed, and here we are, in a dedicated arena for all the pleasant social interactions surrounding this subject—complete with a dozen trolls and the other delights that only this specific document can provide.
And because I am spending less time on it, life feels significantly more pleasant. Please, continue enjoying yourselves with this; that is all from me. Goodbye.

Look, I’m really not trying to go out of my way to defend what he wrote, but honestly? I think that post was aimed at spoiled kids, not children actually living with an ADHD diagnosis. Either way, it just wasn't appropriate.

Honestly, looking back at that thread, I was just completely repulsed by the sheer amount of violence being promoted. It was genuinely stomach-turning to read. Now, don't get me wrong—I totally get the whole "locker room talk" vibe. I have zero issues with the typical jabs at "man-hating feminists who should stick to baking pies" or whatever usual nonsense people throw around about MK. That’s just part of the culture there. But this specific topic? It went way too far. Even by the standards of how politically incorrect things are allowed to be in that space, this was crossing lines that shouldn't be crossed.

Unfortunately, a massive chunk of posts has been edited, which means I can't moderate things properly anymore. It puts me in a tough spot because if I try to hand out sanctions now, it’s going to look like I'm just picking and choosing who to target, and that’s the last thing I want. Honestly, I’d much rather hold off on handing out any warnings or penalties entirely than deal with being accused of playing favorites—I only want to go after the people who actually deserve it.

Look, I get it—I really do. I know you don't like this, and I know you probably think there was a much better way for me to handle everything. But honestly? This time, I’m sticking with my guns and choosing this path. Maybe it's the wrong call, maybe it's a total mistake—I honestly couldn't tell you. All I know is that I am just not happy with how any of this turned out, and at this point, I feel like the door has completely slammed shut on any other possibility.

Please, just don't bring that up again in the future. I honestly can't make a fair call on this matter anymore because, no matter how I look at it, any decision I make is going to come across as biased. And hey, if I absolutely have to be unfair, I'd much rather pick the route that results in fewer penalties. You can try to be understanding about that, or you can not—it's entirely up to you.

Alright. What kind of disciplinary action is the administration planning regarding moderator Charles Fox10? He’s been abusing his authority by editing posts to scrub out any parts he finds controversial. 🥳

And why shouldn't I? I suppose if they just granted me unlimited editing privileges and promised the mods would leave me alone, then whenever someone on the PŽK complained about me, I could simply delete my own posts and call it a day.

It’s a joke. A red card for some harmless trolling, yet absolutely nothing for a moderator (!!) suggesting we lay hands on sick children—and I highly doubt any "virtuous" moderator actually understands what ADHD is, likely assuming it's just a synonym for being difficult. Since the moderator was sweet enough to scrub the evidence, his own preserved post remains unpunished, even though he went out of his way to delete everyone else's.

It’s revolting.

Look, he isn't encouraging domestic violence, and honestly, what you're doing here is bordering on straight-up lying.
Do us all a favor and just stop. 🙂

The whole point of this forum is to share our views and swap experiences. I KNOW for a fact that nobody in that thread wrote, "Yeah, you should definitely beat your kids regardless of the situation, hit them as much as possible." You can say whatever you want, but nobody is inciting violence here. 😉

Just realize that I actually used the word violence.

Look, we’ve already talked about this—he really didn't mean any harm. At the time, he honestly thought the thread would stay open, so he was just trying to get everything organized while he had the chance. He wanted to clean up the discussion to make it more readable, but he ended up grabbing the wrong tool for the job. I think we should just leave it at that this time. Honestly, though, it feels like a lot of our moderators don't quite grasp the rule that you aren't supposed to edit posts just to swap out the actual content. It’s a bit concerning, and I think I’m going to have to step in and address it so we don't run into this same issue again.

Since I’ve gone back and edited quite a few of my posts, most of what I’m saying here is coming straight from memory—which is exactly what I mentioned before. Honestly, there's just no way for me to know exactly what was written in those original versions, so I have to rely on what I remember!

I’ve been scrolling through the comments, and honestly, it’s a bit jarring. So many people are over there practically begging for the good old days when kids were disciplined with a heavy hand—talking about how we need to bring corporal punishment back into the classroom or reminiscing about those "golden eras" when kneeling on corn was standard practice. It’s pretty unsettling to see that kind of rhetoric; to me, it feels like nothing more than glorifying and promoting violence under the guise of discipline.

hollowmoose77 said:I have a child. My child has had an ADHD diagnosis since preschool age, so for about 10 years now.
I don't write much, I just don't have the time (a hyperactive child is a handful, seriously, they are truly hyperactive), and I wouldn't have even stepped in if I hadn't ended up crying my eyes out last night. I've been reading this forum for years for the same reason I watch things like *Two and a Half Men*... just to have a laugh when I'm in that kind of mood, and it never occurred to me to get seriously involved in a debate because I knew it would end... well, bitterly, in any case. Because sometimes people overdo it, actually quite often, and then I just go off and read about cosmetics; at least there I'm not thinking about things that make me want to cry. Last night I wasn't even reading about cosmetics, I was just so upset, because my life isn't hard because my kid is hyper, it's hard because people have such "unique ways" of expressing themselves and behaving.
That's why it made me happy today (and believe me, that isn't easy) to come across this topic, because it makes me happy every time I see there are still people who understand that being hyperactive isn't the same as being poorly behaved, that physical punishment didn't just fall from the sky, and that they have the strength to open these topics on the forum (I didn't have that strength yesterday; my child had a really bad day). The problem with this thread, besides the "mild" suggestion of physical punishment, is that you don't actually understand what hyperactivity really is; instead, you grab onto something and frustratingly take it to an absurd extreme. Which is also what happens when you bring feminism into it, but here we are talking about—and I'll be brief just so I can make it somewhat clear to you—a medical condition.
In the last 13 or so years, I have hit my hyperactive child exactly five times... I regret every single one of those five times, and I will never regret it. And if it had worked, I'd probably regret it even more. But it didn't. IT DIDN'T. It was just proof of my complete helplessness in that moment.
When you have a child one day and realize (or others, like doctors, realize) that they are hyperactive, I am available for anything... and I truly mean this, you are going to need every bit of support you can get.

If you'll let me say it, I feel for you. If we were chatting on a different forum or grabbing a drink in person, believe me, I wouldn't be making any crude jokes or being an asshole about it.

But look, the guys' lounge isn't the place to talk about kids with ADHD. Even mentioning hiperaktivan in the original post didn't really trigger a debate about that; it wasn't the point.

To me, the whole thing—and in your case, specifically—is about how people handle rude, ill-mannered kids. Laypeople see a kid acting out and call them hiperaktivan, when really they're just being bratty.

And then you get those comments from the guys in the lounge. That's all there is to it.

In your situation, you can't expect a "rational" discussion there. The whole point of this specific subforum is something everyone needs to grasp or just accept.
Don't take those posts to heart. If this group had moved the conversation to a more appropriate forum, it would have gone a completely different way.

If someone had brought that kind of nonsense to a thread where actual discussion was expected, I wouldn't have said a word.

It's honestly pathetic that admin even considered handing out warnings... it shouldn't have even reached that point. But hey, there's always someone lurking, just waiting to target poor MK members. 😁

Like that mention of the atomic bomb—I mean, who'd actually pull a nuclear option at a parade? 🤣, I think we all agreed that wasn't the smartest move. 😬

Why are you so hell-bent on getting moderators punished? They have rights, too.
Look, I’d appreciate it if you just started a thread to actually educate the mods on what they can and can't do, instead of trying to solve every single little issue by calling for someone's head.

Besides, since laws are always open to interpretation—and given that this specific law protects against anything humiliating—a parent who forces a kid to wear a blue jacket when the kid absolutely hates blue and feels humiliated by it is technically violating Article 88 of the Family Law.

By that same logic, if a neighbor—someone who isn't family—slaps a kid, they aren't violating Article 88.

Makes sense?

In my view, the whole situation—and in this specific instance, especially—is just ridiculous...

I mean, go ahead and tell the mother of an ADHD child that the entire "Hyperactive Kids" thread—where they basically claim you just need to wrap these supposedly hyperactive kids up tightly to fix them—is nothing but a massive joke 🤦.

So, you’re calling child abuse "humor" now? Is that the deal? A "Men's Corner" that just serves as a punching bag for those leftover, primitive types—is that what we're calling it?
Why aren't people here actually calling out the people advocating for abuse, instead of constantly making excuses by claiming they're just being "innocent" or "naive"?

Look, kids who haven't been victimized aren't responsible for the way they're being raised—no matter how much they get on everyone's nerves. The blame lies squarely with the parents who failed at the whole parenting thing. And if anyone deserves to be targeted, it's them... though they can certainly defend themselves and strike back.

Well, bravo.

If I may add—and I hope I'm not overstating things—there are plenty of women out there who fit right in, enjoy hanging out with us, and could probably bake us a killer pie; they just won't show off their assets, but hey, that's how it goes now. 😁

How many times were we mocked by outsiders for being misogynists? I'd argue there aren't any bigger admirers of women than the guys on this forum. 🙂

The only thing we don't care for is feminists; let's be honest, nobody there likes them. 😳 😁
And if they're dealing with PMS 🙂 😁

People really need to chill out and take a breather.

I used to be a moderator myself. I fought tooth and nail with the female admins regarding the forum (you remember that, Aaron Harris2), which eventually got me kicked out 😢. So, I know how they can step on poor men. Now, they're trying to crush our last line of defense, and those are the respected moderators...
