William Cooper11 said:Honestly, I just feel bad that some of the mods on the Offtopic forum aren't willing to take any legitimate suggestion and criticism regarding how they handle things. Instead, they seem to view everything strictly through the lens of their own moderator powers. I don't know, maybe that's just how the Offtopic forum is set up, but a little more tolerance wouldn't hurt—especially when it comes to how they exercise their authority. If we're going to claim there's no playing favorites, then we shouldn't see moderator decisions driven by personal grudges.

And what decisions are we talking about here? I don't see a single one. If things were actually moderated like that, the US would look completely different, and honestly, so would this forum.

Jeffrey Cooper7 said:So apparently, my whole way of communicating in this modern world just qualifies as trolling. I mean, I’ve gone back and read through a few different definitions of what trolling actually is, and honestly, I'm staring at them thinking, "I don't see where I'm messing up." Like, who exactly was I provoking when he was just laying out his own problems?🤷 Look, I gotta bring up another example here—in just the last three months, I’ve had nearly 20 girls slide into my DMs, mostly because they actually dig how I write and think and wanted to see where things went. Now, if I were some kind of total troll, wouldn't all those girls be giving me a massive wide berth instead? 🤷

Look, whenever someone rolls up to the forum with their issues, I make it a point to ask exactly what’s on their mind so I can actually give them some decent perspective from my side of things. Honestly, I have no clue who I managed to offend or insult so badly that they're now cursing the day they ever stepped foot on this site looking for advice. If I told someone they needed to pull themselves together and try looking at their situation from a different angle, I don't see how that's supposed to be malicious. I mean, I've been stuck in the same absolute mess as everyone else, posting about my own struggles here too, and plenty of people—including Brandon Castillo4—listened and gave me pointers, and everything was perfectly fine. I’ve never insulted anyone just because they kept repeating the same advice, nor have I ever shut them out; I’m just not that kind of person. I guess I'm just wired to have zero patience for weaklings, so clearly, I'm just not built to offer much comfort... obviously.☕

Yeah, I caught that reply, and honestly, it was exactly what I expected—nothing new, just the same old story, and it's super clear he only bothered reading the posts that actually got nuked, probably based on what mistywolf17 suggested.
But seriously, shouldn't there be some massive, undeniable reason behind a permaban? In my book, personal gripes about someone shouldn't be enough to get kicked out forever, because come on, I'm not an idiot. But whatever, now that I see there's zero chance of getting back in there (unless the mods decide to pack up and leave this sub entirely), I might as well just call it quits on that section and focus my energy on the other boards. Trying to be persistent on this forum is just a waste of breath. Later. ☕

What you just wrote right there? That's trolling. You're throwing out an example that is completely irrelevant.

mistypanther said:Do you have a quote for that? Honestly, you're clearly talking about me. So, quote it. Thanks.

Wow, you really are a sly one, aren't you?😍

You know as well as I do that all your little arguments get wiped clean the moment you try to say anything remotely coherent, so now it’s easy for you to hide behind old quotes—it’s almost like trying to lean on "established institutions" to justify why they're just doing their jobs.😁

I think I'll end up siding with Aquarius regardless of how this plays out.

Honestly, ever since Brandon Castillo4 showed up on this site, and you followed suit, this subforum has actually felt alive in a way that’s genuinely refreshing. If we could somehow manage to fix your fragile ego and get you to moderate with a bit more humility—while also curbing the constant grandstanding from the entire mod team—this whole place would be perfect. That kind of adjustment would be a total game changer.

Honestly, it feels like Jeffrey Cooper7 is just desperately trying to emulate mistypanther. It’s the oldest trick in the book: if you censor anyone who disagrees with you, you eventually end up surrounded by a massive crowd of sycophants. I honestly don't understand how everyone missed this, or why the moderators gave Jeffrey Cooper7 a partial pass. You guys have no heart.

So, this guy rambling on about "broken people"... what a saga. Honestly, I can't tell if he’s trying to lecture me or just looking for a way to boost his own ego, because it certainly feels like he’s taking a shot at my character to feel better about himself.😁

Reason: annoying trolling diarrhea 02/28/2011. 18:44 by mistywolf17 50 points, since I was right on the edge and it would be a shame not to issue a ban. 🙂

So, there they are—just the 15 warnings from the second month alone. You were clearly on a tear on February 5th, dropping 9 warnings in a single day, I guess. (My bad for being slightly off on my math, this damn forum is glitching out on me. 🙂)
Then things went quiet for almost two weeks before the warnings started rolling again. Look, mistywolf17, if you had actually been consistent from the jump and didn't play by double standards, you would've handed out piles of warnings to everyone else doing the same stuff on that sub-forum in a timely manner without looking the other way. But instead, you just pick on one specific guy from that section and flex your little muscles to show how tough you are. It's honestly pathetic. ☕

Let's be real, this specific post (which I won't even bother quoting because it was already nuked) was nothing but pure, unadulterated trolling.

Brandon Castillo4, knowing how the moderators here operate, I’d bet my life this is one of those "decisions"—wrapped up in just enough bureaucracy to prevent anyone from asking too many questions, obviously.
On top of that, it’s worth noting that the decision regarding his partial ban was made by consensus among all the moderators. Yet, when I suggested opening a separate, HIGHLY constructive thread, I was told the mods were considering it, but I should wait until they finish their discussions. Now, I honestly have no idea how handing out a partial ban takes precedence over agreeing to open a productive new thread, unless the urgency of the action depends on how much certain moderators personally dislike specific users.

Everyone has noticed how much you attack Sovereign whenever he shows up in a thread. And you do it aggressively, too. Even though he clearly has way more experience with women than you do—since he’s actually been in a relationship while you just act superior and mock him constantly—it's pretty obvious. I went ahead and dug up just one example of how you communicate, though there are honestly dozens more.
One of my warnings. I suppose I should probably address the recent comments regarding the Democratic Party's current direction. It seems like there’s a lot of heated debate happening right now, and while I don't want to overstep, I feel compelled to offer a bit of my own perspective on the matter. It honestly feels like we are seeing a significant shift in how certain policies are being handled, and maybe that isn't necessarily a bad thing, though it certainly feels unsettling to some. I guess you could say the tension is palpable. I truly believe that if we look closely at the underlying issues, there might be a more balanced way to approach these changes, but perhaps I'm being overly optimistic. I'm just sharing this because it feels important to maintain a level of civil discourse, even when things get intense. We should try to listen to one another, even if we don't fully agree. After Sovereign finished messing around and completely derailing the conversation into the Offtopic forum.
Well, here you go again after four days, weighing in on his post:
Asking someone for a cigarette and a lighter is basically the same thing as hitting on them. 🤦 Well, I guess that’s just Sover for you. :zubo

I'm not really sure what exactly he's taking offense to, but I see no reason to back down. If anything, I think it’s necessary to stand my ground and push back even harder. There's no point in giving in just because someone is acting sensitive.

Jeffrey Cooper7 said:It’s pretty obvious how successful your pickup lines actually are, isn't it? You’re still single, despite all those attempts involving offering cigarettes—not that I’d ever do that if I were a smoker, because I absolutely can't stand people begging for smokes—magic tricks, terrorist dads, and whatever else. Personally, I haven't seen a single successful line yet, unless you count something incredibly stupid that a middle schooler might fall for. A real opener should be an icebreaker, a way to initiate basic communication, but these lines just end up making a girl laugh at you or leave her feeling confused. That’s about it. Just because you managed to make that girl laugh with your magic trick doesn't mean she was actually interested; honestly, I doubt she would have fallen for it even if she were single. Maybe she was just taken and used that as an excuse to get rid of you. 🤷
To pull off a successful approach, you really need charisma—a certain level of charm and a sense of humor that doesn't cross the line into being tacky. If you nail that, any conversation can get off the ground. Even if the approach fails, say because you just aren't her physical type (and Apollo, you might want to take note of that), it’s still worth it to have a girl around for casual hangouts and seeing each other every now and then. I guess it also helps to stay clean-shaven and well-groomed; women definitely appreciate that. 😉

You only got a warning for this specific post, but honestly, you could have been hit with way more than that. I mean, you even commented earlier about how someone should probably shave more often (?)—it’s getting ridiculous.
And honestly, seeing those photos of yours—with that patchy, uneven little beard going on—it’s probably no wonder people think you're way younger than you actually are. I mean, I had that exact same kind of scruff when I was sixteen. 😂

Look, kid, that’s just not regular. It's like if someone asked you, "Do you shower on a regular basis?" and you answered, "Yeah, maybe twice a month." You know, if you end up working at a firm somewhere, you're going to have to shave much more often than just twice a month. :mig Maybe it's just me, but I can tell you from experience—guys who stay freshly shaven definitely have an edge with women.
No, it’s not even a question of whether you look younger with or without a beard; with that beard, you just look like some high school kid whose facial hair is barely starting to come in. :rofl :

but you just keep going
Jeffrey Cooper7 said:Well, who else am I supposed to reply to if I'm quoting you? : shrug:

And how would that even sound—offering to buy a girl a drink? "Hey, I noticed you're by yourself, so I thought maybe I could buy you a drink to cheer you up?" Maybe something like that? Or just, "Hi, can I buy you a drink?"

Look, that feels a bit sleazy to me, but sorry, it’s way too sleazy. If you aren't even able to earn enough for your own cigarettes and a lighter, why would I give you a few bucks? I might give a couple of dollars to the guy I see every day who doesn't have both hands, because he actually needs it, or if I see someone truly destitute, but just because someone asks nicely so they can buy smokes? No. I had one instance where a guy with his girlfriend stopped me and asked if I had a few bucks to lend him. What was I supposed to say? "Yes, absolutely, here is some money." I just told him straight up I didn't have it and left it at that. I mean, what kind of behavior is that? He isn't a beggar, he isn't disabled; he's a perfectly capable person, and now I'm supposed to hand out cash to people like that?
I only know one thing I learned from panhandlers: when you ask them for a favor in return, it's pretty hard to get one. ☕ Personally, I think it would be embarrassing for a healthy, able-bodied man to have to beg for money. I'd rather take any job under the sun than have to beg.☕

Some comments from forum users who have noticed how often you do this

UnknownRoad said:this has nothing to do with the topic, you guys are being incredibly annoying🙄

XeonCro said:These two again🤦

Which one is Express to you? You latch onto this guy in every single post. You know, nobody likes a smart-ass.

mentalny said:Man, he really went all out on him...

On topic: I remember hearing some similar pick-up lines back in the day (absolute nightmares): "Hey baby, you'd eat anything I gave you!"

:/

Jeffrey Cooper7 said:What's going on here? Is every guy on this thread defending him? 🤣

mentalny said:It's just because the guy's got looks, that's it! He's being defended! : D

Come on, keep the bad pick-up lines coming!

Jeffrey Cooper7 said:Just a pretty face.🤣
I honestly wonder how many women would actually say someone is good-looking. 😁

Regarding the subject, it reminds me of Will Smith and his lines from "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NH4BJ9B1lrw : D

In short. You've done this repeatedly across several different threads.
You ignored the warnings. After receiving a few strikes for trolling and getting explanations and warnings via DM, your response to my private messages was, predictably, more trolling. That’s when you started leaving those little notes on my posts:

Jeffrey Cooper7 said:blah troll blah troll...

Now I'm just waiting for my dear mistywolf17 to hand me a strike or two for being such a nuisance. ☕

Jeffrey Cooper7 said:bla bla

And I really hope mistywolf17 doesn't lock this thread just because I'm chatting too much... ☕

That's just not how you do things.

Exactly. Got anything else to add to the pile?
Aside from the fact that we were both laughing our heads off—and I’ll be the first to admit I was right there with you—if you had actually gone ahead and posted
that ad, I suspect you would have found yourself being torn to shreds by half the forum, leaving you feeling even more miserable than you already did.

Man, damn, then I guess I seriously don't get what trolling even means. No, really, I had no clue that stuff could be considered trolling. 🤷 Does that mean basically anything irrelevant or off-topic is automatically trolling now? 🤷
Brandon Castillo4 said:Let's be real, this specific post (which I won't even bother quoting because it was already nuked) was nothing but pure, unadulterated trolling.

See, if that's how it works, you can just label whatever you want as "trolling" and call it a day. By that logic, I could just decide she's labeling me as a troll—someone as annoying as a stomach flu—and count that as an insult, right? 🙂 And she gave me 50 points on purpose, just so I'd end up with a three-day ban, because usually trolling is 35 points, but apparently anyone can just tweak the rules and hike it up whenever they feel like it. Whatever, I'm used to this kind of crap...

This is stupid on a whole different level 🤦

Jeffrey Cooper7, that partial ban from the US is staying put and isn't going anywhere. Honestly, just be glad they're only dealing with a partial ban on one single subforum.

Jeffrey Cooper7, a reason for a ban can be one single massive issue, or it could be a whole bunch of smaller ones—let's just call them little grievances
🙂
I’m not messing with you, I actually tried to explain what the problem was over on the KZB
To be honest, I have no clue how one would even go about teaching someone how to communicate properly, and frankly, I’m not sure why I’d bother
The only real reason this happens is because I don't like banning people and I certainly don't want to
But if someone is being confrontational and causing chaos, neither I nor the other mods really have much of a choice
I’m hoping you might lower your guard a bit and actually listen to what people are trying to tell you here
You do realize it’s pretty unlikely that this many different people all teamed up in some grand conspiracy just to get against you, right??
