It's like if I'm grading my students' PDFs; I'm certainly not going to give the same failing grade to someone who sends a mother back to her hometown as I would to someone just hitting the caps lock key. One thing is much more serious than the other.
My ban actually would have been extended if it hadn't been lifted, and it wasn't just me getting an amnesty, but that third person was also given a break...
And regarding the whole business of posting a private message (though, frankly, I'm not sure what was "private" about someone insulting me, other than their own lack of manners), everything has already been addressed, the penalties were handed out, and the rule is clearly stated.
Even moderators make mistakes sometimes, and we all learn from them...
So I'll ask one more time, what is the actual problem here? Because from where I'm sitting, I just don't see one...
That was exactly my point. I wasn't looking for some petty playground brawl.

Did you even bother reading the example and the thread from the start of the story?
Nicholas?
The real issue here is that group lynching is basically encouraged over at the Lions Club.
Daniel Ward87 said:🙄 Come on, don't be a hypocrite... How many times have you broken the Lions Club rules without getting slapped with an instant three-day ban? Nobody is disputing what we did, but when the moderators mess up, there should be an immediate 3-day ban—no questions asked. When "regular" users screw up, well, that's where the debate starts.
Daniel Ward87
When savages and thugs mess up, just look at this example.
Nicholas Then it's allowed.
That moderation error is really getting under my skin. Tell me, what's your take?
Daniel Ward87 Where were you when they were little?
Nicholas Were they taking the piss? 🤷
It’s pure chaos over at the Lions Club. That’s what everyone is saying—including your own colleagues.
Moderators. Who were you chatting with?
Steven Ruiz.
The real issue here? Everyone’s obsessed with me being the "main threat" in the ban corner, while the actual bullies at the Lions Club get a free pass every single day.

Nicholas King said:The real issue—if we’re being honest—is that this whole situation has been handled poorly. Just... incredibly poorly. Right from the jump.
First off, there was this universal defense of the Prime Minister's right to post.
Then, out of nowhere, a wave of bans just hits—and suspiciously, they all seem to come in one big package.
After that, people were chatting away about the "banned" users for two straight days.
Then, predictably, a whopping 30 points were handed out for it.
And finally, forum members are being told—from more than one direction, mind you—to stay out of things they supposedly "aren't involved in."
Each of these points deserves a deep dive, really, but if I had to sum them up in a single sentence: don't do this. It isn't right, and frankly, you're just creating unnecessary friction and bad blood.
The problem is they don't get it. They don't *want* to get it. All they care about is fighting.
What kind of moderators and users even make up this forum? That’s it. End of story. It's a shame people can't just sit down and calmly work through their issues.
Not happening. Looking at what was posted, it’s obvious some people here have absolutely no business being moderators. And yet, here they are.
Daniel Ward87 said:It’s honestly sad how you guys act like moderators aren't part of the community too...Regular users break the rules all the time and take the cards and Bans, while mods have to deal with all kinds of nonsense while trying to stay chill, level-headed, and rational—every single day. But the second a mod slips up on the rules, they deserve an even harsher penalty just because they happen to be 🙄
What's with this whole "rules apply to everyone" thing? You guys throw that out constantly, but suddenly the tune changes when it involves the mods. If you're going to preach consistency, then actually be consistent.
Daniel Ward87
It’s honestly a shame you don't read anything from start to finish. Like I already said, the moderators are just regular forum users with extra permissions. And that isn't limited to just this thread, either. I point that out all over the PŽK.

Daniel Ward87 said:If this were just about acting entitled, we wouldn't have been penalized 🤷 and yeah, sol faking vat. We missed the mark, we got hit with a penalty, so what? If you think it's unfair, then just say it and complain normally instead of doing... this. Plus, I'll say it again: since when is a single post considered a chat?
Daniel Ward87
Sometimes I wonder about that too.

Steven Ruiz said:Like I’ve said before, most of the moderators around here don't have a single strike on their record and they're honestly such model citizens... which really makes them the perfect example for everyone else to follow...
So, I was just wondering... what makes you think the moderators act so arrogant and rude like that...?
I really do try my best to be kind to everyone here and answer any questions that come my way, but let’s be real—if someone comes at me with an attitude or starts being downright rude, they can't exactly expect me to stay sweet... I honestly think most of the moderators feel the exact same way about it too...
You’re actually the perfect example of what I was talking about, so please be honest with me—what was going through your head when you all started chatting? To me, it honestly felt like everyone was just jumping onto the KzB boards to mess around because they knew they could get away with it while nobody else is allowed to... though, sorry, maybe I've got that all wrong... 🤣
I can only speak for myself here, but I really do believe this applies to everyone else too...
I honestly only started chatting because I was bored out of my mind since I couldn't access anything else on the forum. It wasn't some arrogant move to try and prove to everyone how much influence I have or show off my status here... it’s just that I was sitting around with nothing to do, locked out of the main boards, so I figured I'd just come over here and ramble a little bit... My colleagues actually stopped by to say hi, though they were a little shocked to see me acting like such a total goofball. It’s actually kind of a big deal, too... this is officially my first Ban in ten years of being an active member and moderator... 😬 So, there really isn't any talk about anyone being arrogant or acting all high and mighty...
It’s not like that with all the moderators. A lot of them act pretty arrogant and won't bother answering questions from a banned user.
I don't have anything against your chat. Honestly, I actually found it kind of charming. I get that people just dropped in to say hello. They were penalized. That’s enough for me.
I want to see the moderators showing up in the ban corner more often to actually answer questions from the community. Look, I know some of them used to pop in once in a while, but others? Never. That needs to change. If you’re going to be a moderator, do the job completely—otherwise, don't bother being one at all.
And just so we’re clear, I’m not attacking Daniel Ward87. I know he’s a regular at the PŽK meetings, and honestly? That’s fine. But this conversation isn't.
@everyone: Thanks a million for turning this discussion into a total circus!
My thanks go out to the exceptions, like
Nicholas King, steelskipper5, nina williams, Steven Reed, placidmarlin3, fat slut, placidfalcon4.
A special shout-out goes to
Simple_Fille.
The irony is that this thread wasn't even about her to begin with. But by showing up and digging into the issue once again, she proved what an exemplary moderator looks like. Hey,
Strile, maybe take a page out of her book. 😉
@hollowtrucker77: I was going to ask you to lock this thread. Thanks for the help, even if it didn't work. At least I tried something. You know that. 😉
Unfortunately, neither the users nor the moderators seem interested in having a civilized conversation. 👎
Maybe I did whine about myself too much in my posts, but regardless, this topic could have actually served a purpose. Clearly, some of you
can't stand me. In that regard, dear users and moderators, you're all exactly the same. 😁
Thanks for listening. 🙂
