Honestly, you've got a point... I know for a fact that most moderators do this intentionally. They act smug, basically spit in the faces of regular users, and mock people when they complain about getting banned... not to mention the blacklists and everything else. 👍

Oh honey, sweetie, please just read!
Seriously, try reading with some actual comprehension for once!

I can't, and honestly, that's true... but we've already been punished once. So why should we keep punishing ourselves with another three-day ban? For what reason? We already served our time.
For most of us, this was basically our first strike or first Ban in our entire history on this forum...
I'm sorry, but there really isn't any logic in handing out such draconian punishments for a first mistake...

Even with the PDF files I manage, I don't hand out strikes or Bans for the very first error...
First, you get a warning, then a yellow card, and finally a red one...
So by what logic do we get an immediate Ban?...
We've already received the red card, and that's more than enough...

Daniel Ward87 said:First, you're right, but I touched on this in my last post... mods are just regular users with extra responsibilities. Some people here seem to think mods should be on duty 24/7, policing everything perfectly... and most actually do. But when they start acting like "just another user," that's where things change—that's when an automatic Ban happens. That's the core of it.

Second, it depends on the specific chat session. I left a single post on that thread; do you really think I deserve a three-day Ban for that? You can't call one single post "chatting." You can't generalize like that; every situation needs to be looked at individually. That’s my take...

Daniel Ward87

Well, look at you. 🙂

The sentence "Well, dainty says—you're just circling the drain without seeing the full picture of certain things..." is insulting, rude, and frankly arrogant. You have neither the reason nor the right to be so patronizing.

Just as Steven Ruiz could have apologized for the Prime Minister's post and ended up looking like a total joke, you others in this discussion could also choose to show a little less arrogance and actually become tolerable conversationalists. It is precisely because of that condescension that hiding behind phrases like "but we're all just forum users" sounds incredibly hollow.

A real shame.

Don't troll. 😉
No matter how much effort you put in—it’s simply impossible to turn this thread into anything resembling a joke. 😉

Steven Ruiz—I’ve gotta hand it to Desiree; unlike you or mistywolf17, she actually had the guts to admit she was wrong.
Daniel Ward87, this behavior is frankly embarrassing for a moderator—whether you choose to admit it or not, it’s the plain truth.

Super-moderators answer only to the admins. Admins? Nobody touches them. They have to be demoted first before any actual disciplinary action can even be taken.

I’m currently on light duty, so there's a chance this isn't 100% accurate, though I'm fairly certain it is. If you're looking to push for harsher penalties against certain mods, you'll need to take that up with a supermod or an admin.

Well, we already called it out right here in public

They don't. It’s not like you all signed some lifelong moderator's oath. If you can't handle the heat, simply get out of the kitchen. It really is that simple.

When moderators decide to bend the rules, they should be hit with even harsher penalties precisely because they hold the title of moderator. 🙄

Absolutely.

What about that whole forum mantra, "the rules apply to everyone equally"?

Three words: two-day unpunished chat.

Seriously though, how can you claim someone was participating in a thread if they only dropped a single post? 🤷 That’s either off-topic or just breaking subforum rules... You really think I should personally catch a 3-day Ban just because I was "intentionally being provocative," as marčelina puts it...🙄

Honestly, everyone here keeps preaching about not generalizing, yet this isn't considered generalizing? If it is, then it needs to apply to everyone, since the mods are part of the community too. As far as I'm concerned, I don't have a problem with it.👍

Marcelina, something actually WAS done here.
The real issue is just that you (and a few others) are looking for even more than what’s on the table.
I mean, really, think about it... if nothing had been accomplished, it would be a total disaster. But now that things are moving, everyone is suddenly demanding the moon...

You know that old saying... don't go looking for extra bread when you've already got a feast on the table...?😉

Steven Ruiz, we don't think that's enough.
When a cop messes up their duty, they get suspended way harsher than a regular civilian would, right?
You guys are the officers here—just take your suspensions honorably for a bit.

Honestly, based on a few posts, I've already pegged you—you've definitely got a backbone.😉

I’m still holding onto the faint hope that this kind of behavior won't become a recurring pattern—which would mean we wouldn't have to deal with threads like this (whether they're serious or just mindless chatter) 😍

Yeah, but your perspective is a bit skewed. The moderators didn't decide on the punishment. You can't blame the moderators if you think the penalties are too light. Blame the super-mods or the admins.

Steven Ruiz said:Well, like I said, it wasn't.
But then again, we all got punished too...
And honestly, don't even try to play dumb here...

So, what's the real issue here?
Would you guys really prefer it if we hadn't been penalized at all?

No. It would have been much fairer if you had been penalized just like any other regular forum user.🙂

And anyone with half a brain can see those bans were only issued because users kept complaining and filing grievances.🤷

A few people have already pointed this out—the moderators are supposed to set the standard for everyone else. If they act arrogant or disrespectful (and I mean the whole mod team, not just you), they can't expect anything different from the rest of us.
They either need to be disciplined or step down from moderation entirely; there have been plenty of examples and complaints on the PŽK, yet nothing ever gets resolved.
People keep posting and posting on this thread, and frankly, everyone is getting sick of rehashing the exact same thing without seeing any actual progress.

That’s what bothers me most—the sheer arrogance and rudeness of the mods, trying to prove points when they don't even have a clue what they're talking about or who they're talking to.🤷

You are actually the perfect example of what I’m talking about. So, be honest: what was going through your head when you started chatting? To me, it looked like you thought, "Let's just mess around on KZB because we can, while everyone else has to follow the rules." Sorry, maybe I'm wrong.🤣

What exactly did I do wrong?
I simply pointed out that some people don't realize why they received a partial Ban on KZB. It was for opening 10-20 threads without overdoing it, and for bringing up parents and other disgusting insults.
I still maintain that comparing this to Kim Kardashian's chat is absolutely insane.
That is what I was talking about.

Steven Reed said:I have never whined about a single warning I received, whether I deserved it or not.
People who intentionally flagrant the rules usually face a 100-point penalty—and lately, in many cases, a permanent ban from that specific PDF. To be perfectly clear, I've seen people get permanently banned over just a few posts on that PDF (stuff that wouldn't even bother a decent mod).
And yes, if I believe mods who break the rules should face harsher sanctions—especially when they do it maliciously or just to be jerks—so be it.
If you actually bothered to read my posts, you'd notice an unusual amount of consistency 😍
you aren't your average users!!!!
you are the moderators tasked with upholding the standards of this forum, not making a mockery of them!
I am still genuinely stunned by your attitude—and I hope your admins are too.

Then go ahead and stay consistent to the bitter end. Who said we shouldn't be punished? We have been—we've taken the strikes. My issue is just how you all insist we were being intentionally smug or arrogant to justify much harsher penalties 😕. That’s not how it went down from my perspective. We were punished exactly how the moderators of this sub-forum decided we deserved to be...

And honestly, the generalizations being thrown around here are pretty wild...

I guess I’ll have to start a photography hobby just so I can experience that day when I actually miss a moderator... 🙂
For example, I don't miss Strile from the Lions Club at all—what's your take on that? 🤣
Come on, let's not troll, it's not cool!
We all know how it works... if some user keeps posting relentlessly on the KZB forums, their Ban just gets longer and longer...

Nicholas King said:This is a pretty weird way to handle a thread.

At the end of the day, what you actually intended doesn't matter. What matters is that this whole thing came off as an arrogant "we can do it, you can't" flex—basically, just because Ivy can do it, doesn't mean Jon Bon Jovi can. The biggest issue is how the apology was phrased, using "sol faking vat if we ignored the rules"...

Good luck with that. I'm out of here.

If this were just about acting entitled, we wouldn't have been penalized 🤷 and yeah, sol faking vat. We missed the mark, we got hit with a penalty, so what? If you think it's unfair, then just say it and complain normally instead of doing... this. Plus, I'll say it again: since when is a single post considered a chat?

We're just spinning our wheels here—it’s like we're in one lane and you're stuck in another. 🤣

I'm done with this—honestly—(I feel completely misunderstood 😢 😍)
Kim Kardashian admitted her mistake, while everyone else just keeps acting exactly how they always have.
You aren't community members; you are moderators, and you need to either act like it or start behaving like actual users.
Your job is to uphold the rules of this forum, not to play games with them—that's the whole story. 😉
And that's it—this is just one post of mine. 🤣

Like I’ve said before, most of the moderators around here don't have a single strike on their record and they're honestly such model citizens... which really makes them the perfect example for everyone else to follow...
So, I was just wondering... what makes you think the moderators act so arrogant and rude like that...?
I really do try my best to be kind to everyone here and answer any questions that come my way, but let’s be real—if someone comes at me with an attitude or starts being downright rude, they can't exactly expect me to stay sweet... I honestly think most of the moderators feel the exact same way about it too...

You’re actually the perfect example of what I was talking about, so please be honest with me—what was going through your head when you all started chatting? To me, it honestly felt like everyone was just jumping onto the KzB boards to mess around because they knew they could get away with it while nobody else is allowed to... though, sorry, maybe I've got that all wrong... 🤣

I can only speak for myself here, but I really do believe this applies to everyone else too...
I honestly only started chatting because I was bored out of my mind since I couldn't access anything else on the forum. It wasn't some arrogant move to try and prove to everyone how much influence I have or show off my status here... it’s just that I was sitting around with nothing to do, locked out of the main boards, so I figured I'd just come over here and ramble a little bit... My colleagues actually stopped by to say hi, though they were a little shocked to see me acting like such a total goofball. It’s actually kind of a big deal, too... this is officially my first Ban in ten years of being an active member and moderator... 😬 So, there really isn't any talk about anyone being arrogant or acting all high and mighty...
