Michelle Wilson8, I found myself shouting into the void just like you did (about two feet underground over there), but some of these posts are just gone. I have one question for the admins and those in charge: DO YOU HAVE PERSONAL ISSUES THAT MADE YOU SEE TOO MUCH OF YOURSELVES IN THESE DELETED GROUPS, SO YOU JUST WIPED THEM OUT TO AVOID READING THEM?

Michelle Wilson8 said:I really feel like moving all the heavy-hitting discussions over to OFF topic is basically the beginning of the end for them—it’s where they start losing their sense of purpose and why we even bother, and honestly, I think in the long run, it’s going to have the exact same effect on the Life for Two subforum too.

It makes me wonder, how is a newcomer—someone who actually needs a shoulder to lean on or some genuine support regarding a specific issue—ever supposed to stumble upon our topic if it’s buried way over in the off topic section? 😕

Not to be dismissive, of course, but I have to ask: what kind of logic are we using here? How is it that we don't belong on ZUD, yet topics like dealing with difficult in-laws, helping out parents, long-distance relationships, porn in a marriage, or even when a husband tells his wife she's mentally unstable... those kinds of things, which are individual struggles and often quite superficial or fleeting, are considered appropriate?
Are we eventually just going to be left with nothing but wedding planning and divorce proceedings?
There won't be any actual life captured in between those two extremes....😢

So, provided our dear Jose White18 doesn't decide to delete this thread on a whim, I’m asking anyone who feels the same way I do to please leave a comment to show support for "bringing back the outcasts, Jose White18 style." 😍

If the ZUD PDF really relies solely on just three threads like you're claiming, then honestly, the whole ZUD might as well collapse along with them. It wouldn't be worth saving. Personally, I don't think it's that dependent, and I doubt it'll actually happen like that. 🙂

No one has had a single post deleted because of this move.
Nobody.
Not one.

I'm with you on this one.

Even if it means I won't be making any new neighbors.😢.

Can we please get the chat back? Seriously, who is actually bothered by it being right where it used to be? 🤷

Alright, look, I moved this thread to where it actually belongs. And just to be clear, decisions like this aren't made by Jose White18 alone, or by me, or any single moderator acting on their own. These three specific threads have been a mess for a long time now. Originally, there was just one single discussion about cheating. Then, a few women showed up claiming they didn't fit into that specific conversation, so three separate threads about adultery were opened. We allowed them because we wanted to be accommodating; we thought splitting things up would cut down on the constant bickering by letting people group themselves by interest. Instead, it just created these little cliques that ended up warring with each other. In any other normal situation, when threads get this out of hand—where moderation becomes a nightmare because we're constantly deleting arguments—you’d just lock them down. But because we wanted to cater to the regulars who frequent these topics, we kept putting it off. Eventually, we hit on the idea of moving them to a section of the forum with more relaxed rules, so they can still have their space to hang out. As for ZUD, we might eventually open a new thread regarding infidelity for new people interested in the subject, but this time without all the fragmentation and the clan warfare.

Yeah, she moved it. Put it right where it belongs. Honestly, I don't care where it sits—she would've given the exact same response on the ZUD or the PZK anyway.

So, how do you actually plan on pulling this off technically? The clans are already set—unless you've got some kind of gadget from Men in Black, there's really nothing you can do about it.

The explanation provided here is both arrogant and pathetic.
You tolerate so much from everyone else, yet somehow these specific topics bother one of the moderatorit for purely personal reasons.

Exactly.

Maybe if you had actually communicated this within the threads themselves—or better yet, before moving them—we wouldn't be seeing such explosive reactions.🤷

Personally, it would have felt somewhat more normal to see the usual bickering over the last few days. Or am I just not reading the room correctly?

I can barely manage to jump in and start talking to the ladies (and guys) here, yet you all want to move things around. I don't see any major fighting going on; if anything, it's just an open, democratic dialogue of different perspectives...

Greetings to everyone on the forum 🙂

The threads haven't actually been moved; they aren't locked, they haven't been deleted, and nobody is being stopped from continuing the chat on them

The explanation isn't arrogant or pathetic—it’s just the truth. But hey, if you honestly believe that other threads get away with this much leeway, why don't you show me an example? Show me a thread that stays open this long while having this much constant bickering, which in this case has even bled into three different threads.
To prove my point about what counts as "truth," I could list a whole bunch of threads—take the one about women who don't want to be mothers, for instance. Those discussions were intense and went on for a while, but once they started getting watered down and turned into nothing but petty fighting, they were shut down. That’s exactly what should have happened here. These threads were only left hanging this long because someone was trying to find a softer way to handle it.

PS: I don't get the logic here. Why would you think these topics personally offend any of us when we haven't even deleted or locked them? Look, on the OFF topic section, you can keep talking just like you can on ZUD or pretty much anywhere else on this forum.

Michelle Alvarez8, look, I genuinely don't mind walking anyone interested through the details. They deserve to know. And honestly? I don't get any kick out of implementing unpopular policies, even when I think they're absolutely necessary.

I get that you're bored right now and looking for a fight, but still...
