Iron Man 2 (2010)

Does anyone know if any other members of Iron Man's crew are going to show up in this animated series? The lineup includes Spider-Woman, War Machine, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, and Quicksilver. Looking at the promo shots, it looks like War Machine (the silver Iron Man) is definitely in. Anyone know if the rest of them will make an appearance?

Uh, hello? Is it obvious to you that the movie is already playing in theaters right now? 😁

And just so we're clear, besides War Machine, none of those other names you listed are showing up at all.

The first one was excellent. This installment feels like a step down, though. Much like Transformers, where the first film was top-tier but the sequel lost its charm.

The humor just isn't working for me anymore; I think they overplayed it with certain scenes (for instance, the fight between a drunk Tony and the Colonel didn't land at all 🤷).

Look, it’s simple. Iron Man, Iron Man 2, The Incredible Hulk (which isn't Hulk 2—this movie has zero connection to the Ang Lee version), and the upcoming Thor and Captain America films are all based on Marvel characters. They all exist within the same cinematic universe.

In 2012, The Avengers comes out, bringing together the cast from all those individual movies.

The timeline works out like this:

First, there's Captain America, set during World War II.
Then comes Iron Man.
After that, you have Iron Man 2, Thor, and The Incredible Hulk, which all take place roughly at the same time.
And finally, predictably, The Avengers arrives.

That post-credits scene in Hulk featuring Stark is chronologically the most recent event shown in the movies released up to this point.

Caught that flick yesterday—honestly, it was alright, pretty fun, had some laughs... I didn't bother with the first one though, so I can't really tell you how it stacks up against the original.

I caught this film at the AMC theater this week, and I found it quite exceptional...

It delves deeper into the Stark family history while simultaneously expanding the scope of S.H.I.E.L.D.... The sequence where Ivan Vanko constructs his Whiplash weaponry and suit was masterfully executed. There was also a striking scene set along the tracks in Monte Carlo. Furthermore, the moment Natasha Romanoff engages the guards was simply superb. It was quite refreshing to see so many comic book characters integrated into the narrative, and the three new suits were impressive—particularly the Mark V 😁. Mickey Rourke’s portrayal of Ivan Vanko, the former convict and physicist, was nothing short of brilliant; he brought such presence with that heavy accent, the tattoos, and that biting sarcasm. He isn't merely a thief like Justin Hammer was in the first installment; he is a man who actually engineered his own reactor and suit. Truly captivating. Scarlett Johansson remains excellent as Natasha Romanoff, providing a wonderful 😍 addition to the franchise. I also found it amusing that Happy Hogan received more screen time; it seems he managed to carve out a larger role for himself, if you will 🙂.

If I were to find fault, it would be that Vanko's defeat felt somewhat rushed toward the end, and Natasha Romanoff's presence as Black Widow felt slightly limited...

I am hopeful that Black Widow will return in the Avengers films and perhaps in Iron Man 3, hopefully with more significant development. This film certainly helped clarify the timeline leading up to the Avengers...
In my estimation, the chronology flows as follows:
Captain America - WWII
Iron Man
Iron Man 2 & The Incredible Hulk - occurring roughly six months after Iron Man, though I suspect Hulk concludes slightly later given that by the end, Stark is already acting as an advisor to S.H.I.E.L.D.

Simply a magnificent film; well worth one's time...

As for Scarlet and Rourke, I have little affection for them—not that anyone particularly cares about their presence anyway.🙄
My sole grievance was the overabundance of nauseatingly cliché tropes👎. However, it was a relief to see that none of them actually escaped Tony’s lips😁.
I am looking forward to the trio.

Is this some kind of trailer for an Iron Man movie or a series? Honestly, I can't even tell what we're looking at here...

Tony Stark (meaning RDJ, though honestly, does it even matter 😁) just keeps killing it. I caught Iron Man 2 yesterday, and you can really start to see the blueprint for the Avengers forming. The whole movie has this great urban vibe, so it’s hard to pick out specific scenes, but I definitely have to shout out the DJ set by ROn Man. 😁, and then seeing Iron Man show up at the Stark Expo right at the start. 😁 Another big win for this movie is War Machine. Plus, you've got Pepper Potts looking incredible, and S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Romanoff is right there too. Seriously, I am so hyped to finally see Thor and Captain America, and then the full Avengers lineup. 🙂

🤣 She just comes off as moody and totally checked out to me. Iron Man 2 only works because Robert Downey Jr. is absolutely perfect in the role🙏, and I liked Rourke too, but everything else feels scattered and aimless.
Given how good the first movie was, this really could have been much better.

Does anyone happen to know where I might track down a high-quality DVDrip? Or perhaps it just hasn't hit the digital shelves yet...?

Honestly, it wasn't even all that great... maybe a 4/10 at best if I'm being generous.

It serves as a decent trailer for Thor, though I found the runtime a bit excessive.😁

She’s definitely not a knockout, but she totally pulls off that Pepper Potts vibe.

Gwyneth Paltrow is alright—though if you’ve actually sat through *Love Is Blind*... you know what I mean when they show her in those tiny thongs... 🙄

I grabbed a 480p Blu-ray rip, but it was some German encode—so instead of "SIX MONTHS LATER," you get the German version. Picture and audio are solid, though. Found it on a torrent.
