Not happening; one of the mods needs to step up and handle this. Let me know if you think that's fair enough.

Hi everyone. I tried switching to Invisible mode yesterday, but instead of getting a blue light, I ended up with a bright red one. 🤔 When I checked my profile, it clearly showed me as active and even listed which thread I was reading. Isn't Invisible mode supposed to swap the green light for a blue one and hide my activity and current viewing status from my profile?

When you're operating in that mode, a red light appears next to your own posts, whereas for everyone else, nothing shows up at all. Other users won't be able to see which thread you've currently got open.

Got it. If that's how it works, thanks.

Why on earth can't I just put a blue song link right in my signature?

It’s because that feature has been disabled for everyone. Not just that specific one, but honestly, I think they've restricted all signature customization lately.
Just send me the link to the song and I'll get it sorted out.

just drop the link to the song and I'll get it sorted...

...

There, looks like that. Thanks.

I’ve noticed a bit of a glitch over on the "Home Improvement & Lifestyle" forum, specifically within the thread titled "Wood central heating - Vol. 4." When you try to click through to the very last page (page 164), the site refuses to cooperate. Instead of landing on 164, it just keeps looping you back to page 163. It’s quite strange because if you look at the page navigation indicators—both the ones above and below the posts—they correctly display "164" as the current page, yet clicking it does absolutely nothing but refresh page 163. It’s like a digital merry-go-round that won't let you off at the final stop.
Furthermore, there’s an even weirder issue if you attempt to access this via the main "DIY & Home Repair" subforum. If you try to jump to the topic via the direct link to the most recent post shown in the list, it doesn't even take you to the right discussion. It actually redirects you to a completely different thread entirely—one regarding "Thermal Storage Tanks." It's a total mismatch.

Could someone from the technical team please take a look and fix this? Right now, the page is in a state of complete technical disarray.

This happens whenever posts get migrated from one thread to another. It doesn't happen every single time, but it's a known issue.
I’d bet my bottom dollar those last two posts in the Battery Storage thread were moved over from Wood central heating - Vol, and now the indexing is completely messed up. Usually, this sorts itself out within a day or two, but if it doesn't, I'm going to file a report.

SlavicaBicikl has started this thread. As I mentioned in my opening post, we're all just sitting around waiting for tomorrow because they manually approve every single profile here.

Even though I have the "remember me" option unchecked during login, my username still pops up in the login field when I click on it. I really don't want that visible, so I'm wondering if there's a setting somewhere I can toggle to turn this off. Since English isn't my first language, I might have just missed it in the menus. Is there any way to prevent this? Thanks.

That’s just your browser acting up. You really ought to take a moment to dig through its settings and see what's going on there.

I’m running into an issue with the forum itself. It seems like all the redirects are pointing to HTTP:// instead of HTTPS://, which means my browser isn't passing over my credentials, forcing me to log back in every single time I visit. This started happening just this morning.

Man, I wish I knew exactly where to look😵. Can someone give me step-by-step instructions? Like: Settings > Privacy > Autofill > Yes/No. I'm no tech wizard; I usually just end up breaking things. Thanks.

Give me a step-by-step breakdown. Something like: A > B > username > yes/no. I’m no hacker...

The "Remember Me" feature on Reddit—the one that keeps you from being automatically logged out—is actually useful.

Here’s how I hacked my Chrome. (See image)...

If you're also using Chrome. So you're claiming you don't understand English. Which basically means your browser is set to English.
Click the link at the top of the page.Tools. File, Edit, History, Bookmarks, Tools.Help.It seems like you've left things unfinished. What's on your mind?
'Options. And on the page that opens up, then again on...Privacy & Security' General, Home, Search, Privacy & SecuritySync.... and hit Search.Logins and Passwords Options:

image

If you don't want autofill enabled in the username field, just uncheck the box next to 'Logins and Passwords'.Autofill Logins and Passwords.'.

That would be it... if that’s even the case. (empty username field) Everything you actually want to achieve...

And even with that compromised version of Chrome, you're still going to be screwed. (And the same goes for the right side) Clicking the 'username pop-up' still prompts a click on the username itself. I've got about 7 or 8 of them on my end. With which ones?(a) You can log in using just that pop-up window. That's it.

If that’s actually what you’re trying to avoid, then just wipe all the usernames. (including the relevant passwords)...or just the one you'd rather not have seeing them. (is)Does anyone else share access to their computer?

Click on '...' on the page shown in the image.Saved Logins.' (to the right of the 'Autofill Logins and Passwords...' option)Once that page loads, just wipe out any entries you aren't comfortable sharing with everyone else.
(On the page shown in the image. Ditch that first checkbox too. Do it so the browser stops nagging you to save your credentials every single time you try to log in.

Thanks for the effort, coppersailor28. I gave it a shot this way, but it works only up to a certain point before hitting a wall. I'm calling it quits. It seems like the "remember me" function is already broken right from the login stage. Honestly, there’s no point in having it as an option in the settings if it doesn't actually work properly. Registration and logging in are straightforward enough on their own, but once you get into the settings, everything falls apart. It’s even more frustrating if you aren't a native English speaker🙈.

Is this forum running some kind of script that just kicks users out the second they hit post or something?
Care to explain? Like, keep it simple for those of us who don't speak 1997-era software code.
