I swear, this forum kicks me out at least once a day. It's getting ridiculous.

I arrived at the forum today feeling quite optimistic about some New Year improvements, but instead—good grief! 😁

Up until now, the site has logged me out every single time I’ve attempted to post. On one occasion, I even ran into an error message, and several times I couldn't even get the specific sub-forum to load, so I eventually just gave up. 😢

And now, I have a feeling it’s going to log me out again...

I guess maybe there's a way to subscribe to multiple threads at once? It would be nice so I don't have to open them all up one by one just to click subscribe on every single one.

That’s just not how it works; you have to take them one at a time. Though, if you really want to skip the hassle, you can just subscribe to the entire subforum.

I tried subscribing to the whole subforum, but I don't get individual alerts for which threads have new posts. I guess I don't really see the point of that subscription? 🤔

Alright, so who here actually knows their way around IT? I need someone to break down why this forum can't seem to handle a basic report and why it keeps logging users out randomly or right when they're trying to hit post.

Please, just tell me which browser you're using—are we talking desktop or mobile? Also, do you have any specific extensions for clearing cookies? Honestly, anything else you can think of wouldn't hurt at this point.
And I'm assuming you didn't check that little box to stay logged in, right?

A few days ago, someone hacked my account and turned it into a spam machine—so now I’m essentially in "quarantine," totally locked out of everything. I sent an email to the system administrator, but predictably, there hasn't been a single response...
I’ve set up this account for now, though I’d much prefer having my old one back.

Any advice on how to handle this?

Is it just me, or does this site keep kicking me out? Every single time I try to check something, I have to log back in again.

Reach out to the ban corner using your banned username and explain exactly what happened. You'll be able to post there.

I was wondering if anyone here knows how to set up an AdBlock filter so I can just completely hide certain users from my feed?
Basically, I want it to automatically detect their posts, their handles, their avatars... honestly, anything, and just scrub them away like they're some annoying pop-up ad.
The built-in ignore feature on this site is pretty mediocre and doesn't really work the way it's supposed to.
I'll probably just spend a few hours digging through it myself, but if someone could point me in the right direction, it would save me a ton of headache. Thanks.

Edit: I tried asking ChatGPT, but what it gave me wasn't really helpful.

1. 1. open the AdBlock extension in your browser and click on the Dashboard.
2. Head over to the "My filters" tab.
3. You can add this line to block a specific user:

http://www.reddit.com##.post:has(.post...ext(/username/))

Just swap out "username" for whatever handle you're trying to block. This should wipe out every single post that person makes.

4. Hit "Apply changes" to lock it in.

After you've added that, those specific posts should disappear from your view. If you've got a whole list of people you want to ghost, you can just keep adding more filters using that same method.

It’s kind of funny because ChatGPT, acting as a bot, actually gave a wrong answer that was still somehow more useful and smarter than whatever you just said.
If you know what you're doing, UBlock can pretty much wipe out any HTML element you want.

I guess if you aren't really sure what you're talking about, maybe it's better to just stay quiet.
