So, I finally bit the bullet and decided I’m heading to the proctologist tomorrow to deal with this constant itching once and for all. Since I'm feeling a bit on edge about it, can anyone walk me through what actually happens during the exam? Is it just a quick visual check, or am I looking at something more painful involving them shoving instruments up there and whatnot? 🙂

A friend told me he was sticking his finger in his anus and now he's dealing with some itching. What could be causing that?
Just to be clear, I'm asking for a friend.

Why was he sticking his finger in there? A digital exam should be performed strictly by a doctor. It’s most likely just hemorrhoids, though parasites are a possibility too.

I'll tell him. I won't ask why he did it. I'll only ask if it actually matters.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to jump in here and finally share my success story. So, for a while there, I was dealing with some serious discomfort—burning, itching, just a total mess down there. I went to see the doctors, and they told me everything looked chemically fine—basically saying I was just overdoing it with the toilet paper, scratching too much (which you definitely shouldn't do!), and being way too aggressive with the body wash in that area. I tried everything—baby creams, specialty ointments prescribed by my doctor for skin irritation, you name it—but nothing stuck. In fact, at one point, the irritation got so bad that it actually made using the bathroom a nightmare because of the pain and burning. This went on for years, honestly. Then, one day, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I happened to have this basic Zinc cream—just a standard 10% Zinc stuff—and I figured, hey, maybe this is what I need. Well, I started applying it, and boom—suddenly, the problem is just gone! It’s like it never even happened. I mean, it really makes you wonder what those expensive doctor recommendations were all about, right? Anyway, for me, Zinc was the absolute hero. Everything is working perfectly now, and I’m really hoping it stays that way! Zinc is the real deal. Catch you later!
