Sure, some roles fit him perfectly, but as a superhero... that's a tough sell...🙂

Unfortunately, the movie is just bad... I was hoping it would at least be a great Trash film, but it didn't even manage that.

I’d love to check this one out, but why on earth did they cast Nicolas Cage?....nope, no way....it's like they couldn't just go with Clive Owen instead.

And I could see Ice-T playing him—he’d actually bring something to the role.

Honestly, Nicolas Cage was pretty great in Lord of War and Las Vegas. It just bugs me a little how he seems to be in every single movie lately...

From the directing and the script to the acting... it’s just awful.

The characters are so incredibly shallow and poorly written—it's painful.

In the comic (which I haven't actually read), a flaming skull might look decent enough... but on screen 👎

It is shallow, it moves at a breakneck pace, it lacks any semblance of realism, yet it remains immensely entertaining and delightfully foolish; you have Nicolas Cage portraying Elvis Presley, the presence of Eva Mendes, and even a horse that somehow outpaces a motorcycle—honestly, how could one ask for more?

I recall the specific scene where be Elliott instructs Nick to sterilize the needle, yet he proceeds with such misplaced bravado, attempting to ignite a flame with his bare hand. "No, use the boiling water..." 🙂

It is rather amusing that you are disparaging this film when the primary antagonist is actually named silentpilot6... 🙂

Thirdly, it isn't exactly "great trash"—it’s just a bad movie. If we're talking about great trash, you'd look at something like Evil Dead or the second season of Lost...

Perhaps I am merely feeling a bit influenced by the atmosphere, given that there were no children with popcorn rustling in my ear to ruin the experience.

If you aren't into comics, then just don't watch it. But please, don't bother complaining about the movie either. If you aren't looking for realism, it's actually a great film...

Setting comics and their adaptations aside for a moment, Ghost Rider is just a bad movie, plain and simple.
The whole thing was basically just an excuse to watch Eva Mendes, and honestly, her screen presence was the only reason I sat through to the credits.😁 😁

So, I caught Ghost Rider yesterday—and man, it’s been a minute since I actually had a decent time at the movies. This flick is just plain stupid. The plot? Total trash, feels cheap as hell. Nicolas Cage is completely washed up—stuttering through lines and sporting this absolutely hideous haircut. As for the female lead, she didn't really do anything for me. The jokes are mindless, there isn't nearly enough action, and those CGI effects feel like stuff we've all seen a thousand times before—just low-budget and tired. Most of the acting is pretty rough, too. Honestly, the whole thing feels like some bargain-bin 80s flick you'd find playing in a tiny theater in middle-of-nowhere Nebraska. It's bad. But, somehow, I actually liked it and had a blast.

Evil Dead isn't trash.

"Trash" is totally subjective, right? Depending on who you ask, it's one thing or another.

I caught that movie at AMC yesterday too.
It was actually a blessing in disguise that the showing was so late (around midnight), so I didn't have to pay *too* much attention to it. But the downside is that I went straight from seeing "Second Life," and that is definitely not a winning combo since I basically forgot half of what happened in the first one... though I might give it another shot later.

Ghost Rider.... I think someone already mentioned it above, but if not... two words: "Absolute garbage."
Still worth a watch, though.
