As for everything else, I pretty much know all that... I was more curious about whether every single infection has to be linked to Chlamydia, Ureaplasma, and all those other things they check for in swabs, or if it can just be inflammation on its own and cause bleeding when taking the Pope?

Well, inflammation is really just the body's reaction to some kind of microbiological trigger... basically, there's a microbe (like a bacteria, a virus, or even fungus) acting as the cause, and then the inflammation is what follows as a result... so yeah, any inflammation is going to be tied back to some kind of microbe.

Jerry Booth10 said:The statistical probability of passing this over to a partner sits at roughly 33%, but if we’re looking at the biological reality, men generally have a much harder time actually developing fungal infections. If you were to poll most gynecologists in the country, the consensus would be pretty much unanimous: if the woman is dealing with *Candida*, there is no inherent need to treat the partner—unless, of course, he is actively experiencing symptoms. If he’s asymptomatic, medical professionals typically won't prescribe anything because the infection simply doesn't take hold in men as easily. Of course, the logic flips if he is the primary carrier; if he develops it first, he can certainly pass it back to her, in which case treatment is mandatory. In my own experience, every single gynecologist I’ve consulted has declined to provide therapy for a partner unless the woman explicitly pointed out that he was symptomatic. Otherwise, they don't bother. It isn't just an opinion, either; if you dive into the actual medical literature, that's exactly how the standard protocol is laid out.

Some gynecologists will prescribe treatment for both people, while others won't... personally, I feel like the ones who treat both partners are doing a better job. Even if a man doesn't have symptoms or "hasn't developed" Candida as an actual illness, they can still act as carriers, and they really should get treated just to avoid that whole ping-pong effect where you keep passing it back and forth.☕

I’ve got a bit of an issue. Right in the middle of my cycle, I noticed this brownish discharge—or maybe it was just a few drops of blood, honestly, I can't tell for sure. It mostly looked like the very last day of my period. This has never happened to me before; my cycles are usually super regular.
Has anyone else dealt with something like this?

Are you perhaps on oral contraceptives? A close friend of mine experienced the exact same thing while she was taking them—that specific brownish discharge. Her gynecologist assured her it was a perfectly normal occurrence.

No, I'm not on any pills. Honestly, I'm just terrified that I might actually be pregnant. I mean, we used a condom and everything, but still... since this is the first time this has ever happened to me...

You're ovulating=your fertile window is open 😉.

Better not skip out on action these days—unless you want to end up totally empty-handed ☕

I have a quick question
A few days ago I noticed some dark brown discharge and I'm honestly not sure what it could be.
I did have my period this month—it was a little lighter than usual, but pretty much normal overall.
I've never had sex before, so I really have no clue what might be going on here.
I'm not feeling any cramps or pain either.
Please help me out if you guys know or even have a guess about what this could be.
Thanks!

I had the exact same thing happen just a few minutes ago, and I lowkey panicked because it’s never happened before. I've heard about spotting, but why now all of a sudden? lol...
I'm not on the pill either...
Anyway, I went to see my OBGYN. She said it's just spotting from ovulation...
It actually happened to me one other time too...
It feels weird though—like, why this cycle and not the next one? But I guess it's normal...
So yeah, don't worry, you're good
Though that can also be implantation bleeding, but that usually happens about 7 to 10 days after conception...

Hi ladies, I’m dealing with something similar here.

I’ve had some dark spotting since the end of my last cycle, which was 20 days ago. On top of that, my breasts are tender, and there's this uncomfortable pain after I urinate. It doesn't feel like bladder pain; it feels more like my ovaries. 😢

Since I won't be able to get into my doctor for another 10 days, I wanted to see if anyone has any insight into what might be going on.
I dealt with PCOS back when I was fifteen, but I don't think that's the culprit here—my periods are regular and my hormone levels are normal. It also doesn't quite feel like an ovarian inflammation, because I’ve experienced that before and I know the sensation. Still, it’s possible my intuition is off this time. 🤷

If anyone can offer some help, I’d appreciate it. 🙂

So, I need some help here if anyone has dealt with something similar and can offer some advice. 🙂
First off, I noticed redness on my outer labia, and now these tiny little white bumps are popping up. They don't hurt, they don't burst, nothing—but the whole area just feels incredibly irritated. At first, I assumed it was a yeast infection, so I used Canesten, but that didn't help at all. Honestly, it feels like it might have made things worse...

The issue is that a few days ago, I also noticed increased discharge that seems to be pooling inside. 😕

On top of that, my last two times having sex were painful, though the pain felt more like it was in my lower abdomen. 😕

I have a steady partner, and we always use condoms.

I actually had a full gynecological exam recently and everything came back fine, except for a yeast infection, which I cleared up quickly with vaginal suppositories.

Now, because of these symptoms, I’m honestly terrified about what’s going on. 😕 I’ve scheduled an appointment with my gynecologist, but since I go to a private clinic, I have to wait three weeks to be seen...

Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Is it possible it's an infection? Or maybe some kind of internal inflammation? 😕
