Are you seriously paying a gynecologist who makes you wait three weeks just to see them when you might have an infection (discharge, painful sex)?

Find a different doctor.

Yeah, look, this doctor is actually amazing, but I think I’m gonna have to switch because of these wait times... Anyone know a good private gynecologist where the crowds aren't this insane?

You’ve got this massive thread full of gynecologist recommendations here.

When you called them, did you mention you might have some kind of infection, or were you just calling to set up an appointment?

I listed my symptoms, but my sister just said they’re way too much and there's no way they can fit me in. When I asked for advice on what to do, she basically told me to go find another doctor if I couldn't wait... So, I went ahead and booked an appointment for three weeks out, mostly because I have no idea who else to see. I've cycled through so many gynecologists already, and I finally found this one woman who is actually amazing, but this kind of waiting is killing me...😢

Here’s a list of gynecologist recommendations, so go look through them. 🙂
If you need someone specifically for these kinds of issues, use one of them. For your regular checkups, you can just stick with whoever you're seeing now.

I honestly don't get the logic behind some of these clinics. With my OBGYN, if you have something like this, they see you by the second or third day at the absolute latest. Yeah, she’s slammed, and yeah, I might have to wait a few hours, but I’ll take waiting a few hours after calling than showing up and being seen five minutes after walking into the waiting room—only to realize I actually booked it three weeks too late.

Yeah, I was just scrolling through that recommendation thread. 🙂
Any chance you could DM me your doctor's number, her name, and where she's located? 🙂

Exactly. 🙂
And I’ve already taken on quite a few new patients, unfortunately.

So, a week ago at the beach, I dealt with this nasty discharge—it stayed pretty much the same until yesterday. I had some minor infection going on, basically just bacteria, so I was taking Medicated solution and using Canesten vaginal suppositories and cream. This week, that itching came back just like when the bacteria first hit. Now I've started using different suppositories, Geonistin, and I’m back on the Medicated solution—though honestly, I’m just winging it at this point. Last night I noticed some clotting on my underwear, and this morning it feels like my period might be starting. Should I actually be worried about this?😲

Good grief... what did the doctors tell you? Or the gynecologist?

Did you abstain from sex while you were on the medication?

Yeast infections. Honestly, they’re a nightmare, both in terms of the symptoms and the treatment process. If you're dealing with this, my advice is to go back to your gynecologist and ask for something more heavy-duty if the Medicated solution isn't doing the trick—that stuff is pretty weak. Alternatively, just head straight to the pharmacy and grab some Canesten vaginal suppositories or Fluconazole tablets. Those are like the nuclear option; they should pretty much wipe everything out.

What do you mean by "same sensibility"?? Like, sometimes it’s more vulnerable, and other times it’s more solid?😕
No need to start stressing out. Seriously. Who even saw you worrying or—God forbid—actually heading to the doctor, right?? You just extended your own treatment, and honestly, it's fine. 🙏
The smartest move is just to drop a vulnerable post on the forum and wait for people to chime in. If the crew here doesn't give you any answers, you just gotta keep going with the treatment on your own. Screw the doctor. 👍

I second that!☕

Look, honey, kick ass and head straight to the clinic.😳 Any bleeding outside of your period is totally not normal!

So, for a few days now, I've been dealing with this constant itching, plus some pretty heavy discharge and an unpleasant odor—not to mention that stinging sensation when I pee. It’s super uncomfortable. I was wondering about that treatment using L.G. and a tampon? Does the L.G. need to be applied slightly differently, or can I just start using it right away? Also, what size tampon should I be looking for...

Look, just because it's itchy doesn't mean it's a yeast infection. Honestly, this sounds more like a Trichomonas situation to me. Go see a doctor—stop trying to play scientist at home.
