Taylor Chase4 said:Don't buy into the marketing hype. Seriously, they talk about "ideal pH levels" and all that nonsense like it's some holy grail, but honestly? It’s mostly useless and just messes with your natural flora. You really need to cut back on all that stuff. Take anti-wrinkle creams, for example—total waste of money. They don't do anything, but people keep throwing cash at them just because the commercials claim they work. It's such a scam.

Marketing basically preys on men's mothers-in-law and women's insecurities to get what it wants—that’s exactly why it’s so damn effective. 🙂

Take the whole crew straight to Dr. Ginić; if he doesn't get things sorted, just pivot to another specialist and you'll get it handled. We went through a nearly identical mess ourselves where one doctor kept insisting everything was perfectly normal while the next one actually stepped up, identified it as some kind of inflammation, and fixed us right up. Now everything is totally fine.

One quick question here—I’m trying not to start a whole new thread if I can help it, but it’s about my discharge...
Before... it wasn't this "heavy." It used to be more transparent, not in these amounts. But now (I'm 21) it’s heavier and somehow whiter. So, I wanted to ask, is this actually normal? And will the amount keep increasing as I get older?? Help me out.

So, have you actually made it to the gynecologist yet?
If you haven't, seriously, just go, because it might be some kind of infection.

Raymond Booth12 said:This is becoming a massive headache... here’s the situation... my girlfriend is dealing with some white discharge—which I'm sure you guessed from the title—but the real issue is that I love oral, and right now, it’s completely off the table because of the odor and just how unpleasant it feels... I can manage a little something before penetration while everything is still tucked away 😁, but that basically limits me to just the clitoris. Since I like to be thorough, it’s honestly driving me up the wall—not to mention the fact that any attempt at oral after penetration, once things have shifted, is just absolutely soul-crushing. She went to see her gynecologist, but she’s stuck on a waiting list for a month, and who knows how much longer it might take to actually get this sorted out... so, I’m asking the lovely ladies who have dealt with this or are currently going through it: how are you handling this? Is there any kind of alternative—maybe certain teas or something similar—that could help? Because if the doctor doesn't fix this soon, I might actually lose my mind. 🙏

We’re talking about Trichomonas vaginalis here.

Totally normal for it to change up. Sometimes it’s clear, sometimes white. Sometimes it’s thick, sometimes runny. Volume fluctuates too. If it starts smelling like death, go see a doctor. For now, grab some vaginal wipes from the drugstore and see if that helps. Stick to cotton underwear, skip the synthetic stuff.

It’s not an unpleasant smell... honestly, there isn't even a smell 🙂 and I haven't worn synthetic fabrics in my entire life, just cotton.. 👍

Well then, you better start prepping now for how things are going to be down the road. Like I said before. It’s not gonna kill you to use wipes once in a while, and if you can, just stick to an intimate soap with a low pH.

Just a quick thought.
There is such a thing as normal white discharge, especially during sex. But then there are actual problems when that discharge becomes excessive. If you’re dealing with the first scenario, you’re probably just overthinking it—or maybe just inexperienced.
If it’s the second case, though, you’re likely looking at a bacterial infection, which is usually very straightforward to resolve.

I mean, what even is this "white discharge" thing people talk about? Like, regular discharge is totally normal... it's not some scary white stuff...
especially after you've been intimate with Josh.
See, when people say "white discharge," they’re usually talking about that thick, cottage cheese-like texture with a funky smell, which is actually caused by a yeast infection—you know, Candida (honestly, if you Google it, you'll find a million websites explaining this exact thing).
So, basically, that white stuff inside you? That's just colonies of fungus hanging out.
Sounds pretty gross, right? Hehe.😲

..The go-to move is using vaginal washes and creams, and in most cases, both partners need to get treated so you aren't just passing it back and forth.
The whole therapy routine usually lasts about a week.
And look, it's nothing dangerous at all as long as you catch it and treat it in time.

Yeah, I actually thought the exact same thing. It’s just one of those old-school nicknames people use for discharge; even my mom calls it white wash. 😬

Me too. Learned all that from her. Haven't been back home in forever, so I mostly just know the local terms used over here. As for the stuff we grew up calling "our way," I picked that up from my mom. She always called it white discharge. Just regular discharge.

Yeah, I know that’s what people call it...
but it’s really not quite that...
I mean, when you’ve got a heavy white discharge going on, it ends up being this super thick, bright white stuff that just oozes out...

Just one more thing... what if there’s discharge even when you aren't having sex? What could be causing that? Does it mean what I'm experiencing is actually normal? 🙂

Not even kidding..
I mean, that could totally happen after you finish up some course of antibiotics or deal with a million other random factors..
Honestly, just do a little digging online; there’s a ton of stuff out there regarding that specific topic if you look for it..

I still think it's totally normal. Especially if there isn't some nasty smell. Look, just go see a doctor, let him confirm it for you, and then come back here and tell us all how "normal" it is. We'll all be so grateful.

And haven't you noticed that discharge changes based on your cycle? I mean, what else would you expect—it’s totally normal. It's only a problem when it starts picking up an unusual smell or color.

Look, I get what you're saying about the cycle stuff, but we aren't talking about a little bit of clear fluid here. It is absolutely not okay for it to be thick and cottage-cheese-like, or for your uterus to feel completely stuffed with it, or for it to be leaving literal stains on your underwear. That's a whole different ballgame.

Well, if it’s like cottage cheese, then obviously it isn't normal. I mean, surely you know what we mean when we talk about normal discharge—nothing weird with the smell or color. Sure, maybe it gets thin and leaks onto your panties during certain days, but still.😛
