Has anyone else had this happen? I'm talking about girls. This is my second time, and it’s hitting me so hard that I have to take pills and just stay in bed. Then it eventually lets up, but I get this pain traveling from my lower abdomen downwards—I can't tell if it's my uterus, ovaries, or what. I should be getting my period soon too, but this is just insane. On top of that, I haven't been able to have sex normally all week because of it. Does anyone know what's going on?

I shall attempt to remain optimistic and suggest that we are likely looking at an ovarian infection. Perhaps someone neglected to wear an undershirt for warmth?
It could just as easily be endometriosis; even before I started on the pill, I wouldn't dare allow myself any physical exertion—be it intimacy or lifting heavy objects—because the pain would be absolutely catastrophic, typically occurring a few days before my period starts.
Regardless, my conviction remains that this is some form of inflammation, so you must go see a gynecologist immediately. You simply cannot afford to let an infection linger, and if it turns out to be endometriosis, you certainly have a significant battle ahead of you.

Hey Gerald Hill33,
It could be a hormonal imbalance, or even an ectopic pregnancy.
Basically, everything from minor issues to major complications.
Get to a gynecologist ASAP.

Regarding what... I am
And did I get that right—you’re actually embarrassed to see a doctor just because you're married now?
Please, stop being ridiculous and go see a specialist immediately. And not just because there might be a health issue, but because you should have at least a shred of common sense. You need to make time for this.
As soon as possible. For support 🙂

PS
What does it matter if the doctor is a man or a woman?!

So, I’m checking in because my period started about two or three days ago. I wanted to ask if you felt any cramps before everything actually happened?... Personally, I think that might be why, since I was definitely feeling some aches during those days. Hopefully, it’s all fine, but I really think that’s what caused the pain.

My vaginal flora is totally out of whack, and I’ve really been paying for it...🙄 It just can't be right.

So, three days ago I started getting this bloody vaginal discharge. It was just a little bit last night, then nothing the next day, but now it’s been there all day today... No pain, no burning, nothing really bothering me though.
My last period was about 12 days ago...
I had an appointment scheduled with my OB-GYN for two weeks from now, but I moved it up, so I'm seeing them in a few days. Still, I'm being impatient and have zero clue what this could be, so if anyone has any ideas, I'd really appreciate it.
And btw, I shouldn't be pregnant, but it crossed my mind since I've been feeling pretty exhausted (for no reason), and my last period was a bit weird... though I doubt that's it.🤷

From what I’ve gathered while reading up on this, once the fertilized cell actually manages to nest itself, you might start noticing some bloody discharge...

Heh, thanks a lot. 🙄
That could be true, but I doubt it's happening to me... just playing it safe.
Since I'm a total panicker, it's stuck in my head, but logically speaking... probably not.
Still, anything is possible. Thanks anyway.
I read that light spotting can happen mid-cycle, but I'm not really mid-cycle. Plus, this has never happened to me before, so I have no clue.
Open to suggestions if anyone has them. 🙂

I'm about 90% certain that what you're experiencing is just spotting.
It's essentially light bleeding occurring right in the middle of your cycle.

It should clear up within a day or two.

In my own experience, I noticed some spotting on the 11th day of my cycle.

It might be a good idea to get your ovaries checked out; sometimes things like this can even be triggered by stress.

If you're feeling anxious about it—personally, I highly doubt it's pregnancy.

Especially since, if your last period was 12 days ago, you're likely right in the middle of your fertile window.

Ugh, seriously, I’ve heard about spotting before, but nothing like this has ever happened to me...
but hey, I guess there's a first time for everything, right?
And honestly, I haven't even been stressed out or anything...
Anyway, I'll have my answers in two days. I'm just curious about what all the possibilities are.
thanks...

If you're seeing discharge that looks like blood too, you might have developed an infection. It’s a good thing you have that doctor's appointment coming up soon so you can actually get this sorted out. Any kind of bloody discharge is a bad sign if it isn't your period. They'll probably prescribe you some Betadine vaginal tablets or something similar. Let me know how it goes. Fingers crossed it's nothing serious.

It’s not for me, it’s turned into this brownish-yellow stuff mixed with blood.
Anyway, I was at the OBGYN. She said it’s just spotting mid-cycle. It stopped for a bit so she could do my Pap smear, but then it started back up during the day..
Everything looks fine anatomically according to the exam..
But the Pap isn't for another 6 weeks, and she didn't do any swabs. Honestly, I was so flustered I forgot to ask, and now I'm wondering if it's an infection or some bacteria that might show up if the Pap isn't right and they do swabs later.. eh, hopefully it's nothing. If the discharge doesn't clear up in a few days, maybe I'll head back in for another checkup..
So, there's the report, Angela Wright thanks!

So, here’s the situation. I'm 16. My period started right before 7th grade began, and it's been irregular ever since. It finally seemed to stabilize earlier this year—I could actually predict when it was coming—but that only lasted about two months. I haven't had any sexual intercourse with my boyfriend; we haven't gone beyond petting. Based on my tracking, I should have gotten it a few days ago, but nothing. Instead, I've had this brown discharge with a pretty unpleasant smell for a couple of days now. I'm starting to worry because I have no idea what this is or why my period is missing again. Last year, I would miss it for two or three months at a time, and then it would just show up out of nowhere and everything would be fine. The problem is, when it does come, the bleeding is incredibly heavy. Now I'm stuck with this mystery. Please let me know if you know what this might be or if you've dealt with something similar. Thanks in advance..

It’s probably nothing major... maybe just a standard cold or some kind of bodily imbalance because you've been eating junk or suddenly switched up your diet or something like that. If you aren't feeling better in 10-15 days, go see a gynecologist.

Would you go see a gynecologist because of irregular periods and heavy bleeding? My doctor told me that this isn't good, since it could potentially lead to an overflow.

Look, it’s like a Niagara Falls situation happening right at your cervix. You don't even get a chance to toast with your menstrual cup before you're swapping it out, because the flow is just relentless. Like wine pouring out in some rural farmhouse somewhere. Something like that.

Melissa Torres, you really ought to hang out in the women's corner a bit more often. 🤣
At least with you, one can actually have a good laugh. 🤣 🙏
