Does the Judo or Jiu-Jitsu club in downtown Chicago offer any evening classes for beginners around 9 PM?

If you’re actually planning on stepping into the ring for competitions, you better be prepared to train consistently for at least two years, because if you don't, you're just going to get absolutely wrecked.

Where in the States can I actually find a decent rashguard without getting ripped off, and what’s the damage like for prices? Is there anything out there besides the ProFight Store or Pride over on Maximirska?

thnx

There's an MMAXION in the suburbs near Philly, and they actually have a pretty solid selection...

I'm curious about what kind of martial arts scene is actually active in the US.

Here’s what I know of:
- Karate
- Tae Kwon Do
- Judo
- Japanese Jiu-Jitsu
- Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
- Aikido
- Boxing
- Kickboxing
- Muay Thai
- Systema

Is there anything else out there? What am I missing from this list?

Why isn't there any Wing Chun in LA?

Hey everyone!

I’m looking for a solid place to train Muay Thai in Osijek—or honestly, anything else decent if there isn't much happening on the kickboxing front. I'm 24. My main thing is finding a coach who actually gives a damn about teaching the craft, you know? Not just someone looking to collect my monthly membership fee without putting in any effort to actually develop my skills...

Oh, and one more thing—I'm really not looking for a drill sergeant type. No yelling or ego trips, please...

I was checking out ProFightStore and saw they only listed Borbas. Is it actually possible that he’s the only game in town? Like, does Osijek seriously only have one club? Is it worth going to Borbas?

Between 3.5 and 4 meters.

It doesn't strictly have to be two years...
If you find a high-quality Muay Thai school and
train three times a week—plus getting some solid sparring in—you could actually head to a lower-level competition
after maybe 7 or 8 months.
That is, if you've got the talent and you're actually dedicated to the grind.👍
You wouldn't be jumping straight into the National Championships. You'd go to some local club tournament
designed specifically for beginners. Kind of like an amateur "novice bout" night in boxing...🙂

Man, there’s just zero wing chun available in Split... it's honestly such a shame—really embarrassing, too. 😢

Does anyone know where I can snag some decent deals on weights, gym equipment, and stuff like that? Looking to gear up without breaking the bank—any recommendations?

I'm curious about what kind of martial arts are available in the area.

Here is my current list:
- Karate
- Taekwondo
- Judo
- Japanese Jiu-Jitsu
- Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
- Aikido
- Boxing
- Kickboxing
- Muay Thai
- Systema

Is there anything else out there? What would you add to this list?

@briskjackal5, don't forget wrestling—Greco-Roman, freestyle, and grappling.

- Japanese Jiu-Jitsu

That doesn't exist here. Maybe as part of a JUDA program for students, but that has nothing to do with traditional Japanese Jiu-Jitsu.

Look, I know people who have trained for five years and still end up getting crushed, and then there are people who only put in a year and walk away having schooled most of the crew...

It all comes down to the individual. If your conditioning is solid and your headspace is right, you can pretty much make up for a lot of technical gaps.

You’re just asking yourself questions, answering them, and then correcting yourself. Honestly? You’re too much, 👍 🙏 😂

So, my question is—does anyone happen to know where I can pick up some of those knee protectors in a city like Chicago? Something just like the one in this photo...
