If you really want to ask that guy?
We've already laid everything out for you. Just hit up Google or check YouTube...
There's Krav Maga—multiple clubs—running sessions over in the West Side area, Dennis Survival down at the Quad, and Ninjutsu classes held at the local middle school downtown...

I should probably mention the club run by a guy who's basically an urban legend here—Damir Kukulj. Nobody actually knows anything about him, yet everyone is absolutely certain he's some kind of absolute master when it comes to Jiu-Jitsu...

And then there’s that Damir fellow... does he actually have any formal training? I can't seem to find a single thing about his background online...

Krav Maga and Dennis Lopez462 are basically two peas in a pod if you look closely enough... just go take a wander and see for yourself...
I think you can still sign up for KM at Jarun...
You've got that Krav Maga thread from Tyler Edwards5 if you want to go mess with him...

Greetings, everyone.
To get straight to the point... I’m looking into Taekwondo. Does anyone here have hands-on experience with the Dan-Gun academy or the Maksimir club? I am open to any advice, recommendations, or personal accounts you might have. My main priority is finding a gym where the training is actually legitimate and disciplined.

Thanks.

Does anyone happen to know if there's a kickboxing club located within the vicinity of the Pešćenica, Volovčica, or Ferenščica neighborhoods? If anyone knows of a gym that isn't listed online, please feel free to share. 🙏🙏🙏

No, he’s been out of the country for a while now. Just look at what these guys wrote to you, especially Krav Maga Guy. You won't be able to enroll by September.

Hey everyone!

Quick question for you guys

My work schedule just went totally sideways, so I can't make any afternoon sessions anymore—I’m strictly capped at being available until 3 PM. I was wondering if anyone knows of a boxing gym in the city that offers morning or midday training slots? Basically, anything finishing up by 2 PM would be absolutely perfect for my new routine.

Thanks a ton for the help!

Hey everyone,

I have a quick question... would anyone be able to recommend a good kickboxing club in the Los Angeles area, or maybe somewhere near Santa Monica if there's anything decent out that way? I used to swim, played water polo, did some Aikido, and I've been hitting the gym consistently for about a year and a half now. Thinking it might be time to pair my weight training with some kickboxing classes... just to mix things up.🙂

Thanks.

Big thanks to Scott Reyes84... I can see this club keeps the grind going every single day with classes running non-stop, but the thing is, none of these specific disciplines really grab me right now. I'm specifically hunting for boxing training... though I appreciate the heads-up, who knows, maybe in a few years I'll find myself actually craving this stuff too.😉

KM’s got more clubs than you, and they run their training sessions over at the Velesajm district.

Look, you’ve actually got a KM club right in the Quattro area 😁 sitting right above Omega... 🙂

I’ve been seriously mulling over signing up for some Kung Fu classes for ages now. Honestly, it’s not even about fighting anyone or proving something—it’s just for me. I need something to get my body moving, clear my head, and actually get back in shape. You know? Just pure recreation and staying fit. Is it just me, or does everyone eventually hit that point where they realize they need to move more just to stay sane?

I’m seriously thinking about signing up for some Wing Chun Kung Fu classes. Like, I'm actually considering it. What do you guys think? Is it worth the hype, or am I just chasing some weird martial arts fever dream?

Look, I don't give a damn about winning trophies or some fancy competition. Honestly? None of that matters to me. What actually counts—what's the whole point of all this—is staying in shape and just getting that recreation in. That’s it.

How much does all the gear for Kung Fu actually run you? Seriously, I feel like you go online to look at one pair of training pants and suddenly you're staring down a credit card bill that looks like a mortgage payment. Is it just me, or does this hobby have a sneaky way of draining your bank account?
Kimonos and everything else. That’s it. That’s the whole thing. Seriously, though, where does it even end? You start looking at one piece of traditional gear and suddenly you're neck-deep in an entire wardrobe of stuff you didn't even know existed. It’s like once you pull that first thread, the whole fabric just unravels in front of you!
Is it too late to start if you're, say, 25 or 26 years old?

All you need is the drive and a little bit of time. Just show up to training and do what you're told. That’s really it.

I’m 14 and a half, and I really want to get into BJJ. I was wondering about what the monthly dues usually look like and how many times a week people typically train. Also, how intense are the sessions? What kind of strength training do you guys actually do?
It would be awesome if anyone here trains in the suburbs of Chicago—I heard there’s a new club called Alliance—and could give me the lowdown on the sport and the gym itself.😁

Not starting a new thread, I'll just ask here.....
I'm wondering which martial art is actually most useful for "street fighting." Basically, which discipline offers the best defense against attackers in the "real world"?
Thanks in advance

How can none of them? I think Krav Maga is actually pretty solid at it, and I’ve seen Taekwondo work well enough for street fighting too!

Let's try this approach.
How old are you, if you don't mind me asking?

Do you prefer ball sports, or are you more into wrestling and striking?

Alright, moving on. If you have an interest in martial arts or combat sports, please list what you enjoy most, your current skill level, and what you find engaging about it.
Keep training and enjoy the process. Collect medals, meet people, build a crew... and if those movements stay in your muscle memory, perhaps that’s even better.

Not a single martial art provides a guarantee of effectiveness in a street fight. It might just give you a false sense of confidence.

I have just one more question for you:
What truly matters in life to you... I am referring to things like people, family, and such? (I picked this idea up from my friend 😁)
