It’s definitely not all black and white—things aren't always that simple. If something is glaringly obvious, sure, you can wrap it up in a couple of sentences. This forum exists for debate, after all. As for whether something was ripped off or if there should actually be a penalty involved? Well, that’s not really my call to make.

It’s never too late to realize you were wasting your time training in TKW... you finally wake up and see there's just no real payoff in practicing it.
Regarding that sport... just look at the clips on YouTube comparing boxing to TKW. If you actually have the drive and the desire, it's pretty obvious.

What was actually going on with the Starčević situation? Does anyone here actually get how they score these grappling matches?

I’m not really a huge fan of wrestling, but looking back at that clip, it seems like Starcevic went for the throw and just completely botched it. Because he messed up, he ended up taking the fall himself, which let his opponent walk away with those tie-breaking points. Since the Iranian athlete was the one who secured the final points of the match, he technically takes the win under the rules—that’s just how they handle a deadlock in these bouts.

It’s pretty much the same story with most amateur sports, though; so much of the outcome just hangs on whatever the referee decides in the moment. Honestly, I tend to skip over combat sports during the Olympics because the whole scoring system just drives me crazy.

Božo didn't pull it off, but Huklek is up next in the semifinals (87 kg division) around 11:45.

For context, Huklek described his opponent as being very "slippery," which in our local slang implies someone who is elusive, tough, and difficult to pin down.

It didn't take long for the trashy media outlets across the border to spin this into nonsense, claiming the "American was overly emotional and insulting." Just typical nonsense.

For those of you who aren't fluent in English: things got wild at a weigh-in for an MMA event over in Poland. Some fighters actually started brawling after one woman pulled a dildo out of her bag and swung it right at the other girl's face. 🤣🤣
