Frank Alvarez8 said:Geez, are you seriously accusing James Newman4 of trying to run some kind of shady sales pitch on the Forum??? I mean, I don't know, maybe he is, or maybe you're just seeing things, but honestly, that seems like a bit of a reach if you ask me. He’s just hanging out like everyone else, though I guess people always jump to conclusions these days, right?

Look, this isn't about some sales pitch or pushing products on people, okay? It’s actually about putting together a legit, individualized plan and program tailored specifically to his body composition and whatever analysis he gets done. You have to approach it with way more seriousness than just buying stuff and selling stuff... which I guess is what a lot of people don't get. They end up just grabbing whatever they find on their own from someone who doesn't actually know what they're talking about—someone whose only goal is moving inventory rather than actually getting results. I was honestly just curious about what he picked and where he ordered it from, just so I could see if he's even headed in the right direction. 🙂

Hey, nimbleskipper13, I probably should've said hey to Mac if that's what you're actually moping about, but honestly, you really need to quit playing Sherlock Holmes because, I don't know, it’s just not really your vibe... 🙂

So, is Senad actually a kinesiologist or what...?
How much did you pay him for that statement?...

How much did you pay him to say that?

Look, I haven't actually met Senad personally yet, he’s just a buddy and a client of a good friend of mine whom I haven't caught up with in a while, so we haven't had the chance to get introduced... so yeah, if you actually know him, maybe just track him down and ask whatever it is you want to know about it... 🙂

Alright, so here’s the deal. I'm 23, standing at about 6 feet, and I'm hovering around 130 lbs... which is way too light. I need to know how to actually pack on some weight—what should I be eating, how often, and what's the move? Also, will tossing some protein powder into the mix actually make the food count for more and help me bulk up faster? Just a heads-up: I have zero interest in hitting the gym or looking like a fitness model. Every time I step foot in a gym, I just sweat more and end up even skinnier because my metabolism is basically a furnace -.- So, I just want to know what good stuff I can eat, how many meals a day I need, and if proteins (and which ones) will actually help. Thanks. 🙂

What kind of protein are we even talking about? You know, summer is right around the corner, and I’ve been thinking about getting back into the swing of things—swimming several kilometers every single day (well, if I can manage it, which would be ideal!), all while keeping up with a solid diet. I’m planning on sticking to plenty of eggs, lots of tuna—that's a big one for me—dairy products, various meats, and, honestly, quite a bit of alcohol too.

Look, let’s be real here. I don't have time to go swimming. Between working, studying, walking the dog, having a girlfriend, and living with my brother—plus, I don't have parents to worry about, so any spare second I actually manage to find just gets swallowed up by whatever random crap pops up... Lately, I've been intentionally eating total junk just to gain some weight, but nothing works. Not toasted sandwiches, not pizza, not even McDonald's. I'm slamming ice cream and chips for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, washing it all down with a liter of milk a day...

So, what, you want me to draft a whole meal plan for you? Honestly, the most critical part of the day is breakfast. Given how much you're eating, three or four eggs, a tin of tuna, a decent amount of bread, and half a liter of milk should probably be your baseline. Lunch and dinner aren't even that vital in comparison. Though, looking at the younger crowd these days, it seems like barely anyone even bothers to grab a quick bite in the morning..

How can you say you don't have time for swimming? I’m not suggesting you hit the pool every single day; surely finding ten days out of the year is doable! Even hitting the local pool just a couple of times a week for an hour or two isn't like it's impossible to squeeze into a schedule.

Look, my free time is basically non-existent, so I honestly don't know if I can squeeze swimming in. But thanks for at least covering breakfast. Lunch changes up every day so I'm not asking anyone to plan that, but having a solid idea for breakfast and dinner is huge for me. I need to know exactly what's on the menu so I'm not wandering around aimlessly looking for food. Sorry if I'm being too demanding, and thanks anyway..

First off, you should look into bumping up your meal frequency—try moving from three meals a day to somewhere between five or six, keeping them roughly even in size. Just make sure you aren't fueling up on junk; if you do, you’re basically just inviting bad cholesterol to take up residence in your bloodstream, which, to put it mildly, isn't exactly great for your health. The goal is to eat frequently, eat plenty, and most importantly, eat clean. I remember when I first started adjusting my routine, I thought more food meant more heavy stuff, but once I switched to smaller, nutrient-dense portions, everything clicked. Also, getting some form of regular exercise into your schedule is definitely a good move.

Man, I’m the exact same height as you, maybe 6'0" or 6'1", and right now I'm sitting at about 150 lbs. Three months ago, I was down at like 134 lbs. My diet back then was basically just margarine and jam with two glasses of milk for breakfast, then maybe some pâté or deli meat before lunch, and then whatever my mom whipped up for dinner—honestly, I’d just eat pretty much anything she put in front of me. Around 4 or 5, I’d grab a toasted sandwich at school or some deli meat, and by 8 PM, I was absolutely stuffing my face like there was no tomorrow.

Around 11 PM, I’d go back for more margarine and jam and probably another half-liter of milk...

But yeah, I was hitting the weights at home too—pull-ups, squats, weights, sit-ups, push-ups, all that stuff...

Think about sumo wrestlers. To pack on mass—mostly fat, really—they crush huge amounts of rice every day, like 10 pounds or more.
But man, their livers take a massive hit because of it.
They definitely get big, though....

I guess any kind of restrictive diet eventually slows down your metabolism, which probably means people end up gaining weight even easier than they did before. So, if you want to go on a "reduction" diet, try this: eat next to nothing for a week—maybe just 1,000 calories or something—and then just absolutely binge on food. Your top priority should be concentrated carbohydrates; I mean, chocolate is king, maybe one or two bars a day, or cookies (you know, the sugary ones, not the healthy stuff). If you're looking for sweets, that’s your go-to.
Secondly, hit the fries, the fried foods, and anything greasy (like breaded cutlets or whatever else is soaked in oil or fat).
Thirdly: pasta mixed with mayo and tuna, or just plain rice. Rice is incredibly calorie-dense, after all.
Fourthly: just cut back on physical activity. Sit whenever you can, lie down whenever you can, and if you don't absolutely have to run, then don't. Skip the gym entirely. Just become a total couch potato.

The simplest way, though? Just head to McDonald's around 2:00 PM every single day and see what happens.

And obviously, everything I just wrote is extremely unhealthy.

I am just simply too thin. Based on my BMI, I’m officially underweight. But honestly—the strangest part of all this—is that I eat constantly, and I’m actually quite healthy; my hormones, thyroid, and blood work all come back perfectly normal. Yet, despite everything, I just cannot seem to gain any weight. I’ve tried everything from various vitamins and cod liver oil to strictly high-calorie diets, but nothing seems to stick.
I honestly don't understand how this is even possible. Has anyone else dealt with something similar? Did you eventually manage to put on some weight?😕 😕 🙂

The opposite of losing weight: stop eating salad with lunch and dinner until you hit your goal weight. Eat more carbs—pasta or toast with diet jam is actually quite healthy—and cut back on the protein and veggies. It slows down your metabolism. Just rest more and get out more. Eat some fruit before lunch so you can eat more during the meal. Don't walk; just wait for the city transit to pick you up, even if walking one stop would be more efficient. Lie in the sun. Exercise lightly.

But the trap is exactly the same as when you're dieting: once you stop, is it easy to stay stopped, especially after your metabolism has significantly slowed down or sped up?

I honestly don't know... it's not that I'm desperately trying to gain weight, but the reality is that even if I wanted to—I just can't.

I've read through all the posts Kyle Collins2 mentioned and Kate Flores4, but... it doesn't matter. The truth is, I eat incredibly unhealthy food and I'm constantly snacking; I think the only time my mouth is actually empty is when I'm sleeping. This has been my life since puberty, so we're talking years here... and yet, the scale won't budge. Sure, I stay very active, but even so, I don't get how I can eat this much volume without seeing any change...😕 It’s probably because my metabolism runs as fast as light. 😳
