Eating tons of chocolate and the most important thing for breakfast is a plate of grits with chocolate. 🙂 That’s what I did when I was 10 years old for an entire year, and I gained about 35 pounds. I really just fattened myself up like a pig.

Ah... your sweet little problems. 😳

...I'm eating chocolate cereal, actual chocolate bars, chips, and all sorts of other junk, but it simply doesn't stick to my ribs...

I've read through all the posts Kyle Collins2 mentioned and Kate Flores4, but... it doesn't matter. The truth is, I eat incredibly unhealthy food and I'm constantly snacking; I think the only time my mouth is actually empty is when I'm sleeping. This has been my life since puberty, so we're talking years here... and yet, the scale won't budge. Sure, I stay very active, but even so, I don't get how I can eat this much volume without seeing any change...😕 It’s probably because my metabolism runs as fast as light. 😳

...I'm in the exact same boat here...

So... what do you all think—is the whole situation essentially flipped once you hit your thirties?
So... maybe when I hit thirty, I’ll actually show up on this Forum to ask for advice on how to lose some weight? Or am I just kidding myself?🙂 🙂 😬

Look, once you hit your 30s, things change. If you're already running a calorie deficit now, you’re going to find it even harder to maintain your physique later. In your 30s, people who used to gain weight easily tend to put on more, while those who are naturally thin start to lose muscle mass. If you have a leaner build and need to fill out your frame, you need to focus on yin foods. Chocolate and anything containing chocolate is considered yang food, so don't expect it to help you gain weight.

...so, what should I be eating then?...

Bryan Barrett21 said:I am just simply too thin. Based on my BMI, I’m officially underweight. But honestly—the strangest part of all this—is that I eat constantly, and I’m actually quite healthy; my hormones, thyroid, and blood work all come back perfectly normal. Yet, despite everything, I just cannot seem to gain any weight. I’ve tried everything from various vitamins and cod liver oil to strictly high-calorie diets, but nothing seems to stick.
I honestly don't understand how this is even possible. Has anyone else dealt with something similar? Did you eventually manage to put on some weight?😕 😕 🙂

Man, I've been fighting that same battle for a long, long time... Honestly, the best results I had was when I hit the gym for heavy lifting with almost zero cardio and ate every 2-3 hours like a baby. But eventually, you just burn out when you have to prep rice and cook eggs for breakfast every single day.
I love eating, but once I have to force myself to overstuff, I start feeling nauseous after a while.
I don't force it anymore; I make sure to have about four meals a day, but of course, I ended up losing weight again.
Right now, I'm trying out some Herbalife products where I take vitamins with every meal and follow up with a shake that acts like an extra meal... I'll let you know how it goes.
Has anyone here used or is currently using Herbalife? How has your experience been?

Wait, what exactly counts as Yin vs. Yang food? I'm a bit lost here... and I definitely don't get how eating chocolate wouldn't make me gain weight...🤔

Don’t go eating all that junk food just because people here are suggesting it—instead, stick to real, whole foods. Just make sure you're hitting more frequent, healthy meals throughout the day, provided your total caloric intake stays in a surplus relative to your needs. That’s really all there is to it.

Has anyone actually messed around with ShapeWorks for gaining weight (like Herbalife)?

When you're looking at supplements to stack on top of regular meals to pack on some pounds, it’s definitely not cheap. If anyone here has actually used their stuff, please, let me know how it went—even if it was their weight loss line!

Is this stuff actually worth the investment?

I was just asking the same thing...🙂
My experience with Herbalife was okay. I used it for about three months to gain some weight and it worked, but since it gets pricey, I stopped. I’ve started again recently and grabbed a double dose because I joined their program and get a 25% discount!
Some friends of mine in Ottawa use it and they're really happy with it; I even met a girl who gained 7kg!
Where are you getting the products? Do you take those fibers before meals along with the shakes and vitamins, or what??

Please let me know, thanks!

Stay away from those chemical supplements—all that herbal nonsense. You don't need a PhD to realize that stuff isn't good for you. They just have massive marketing budgets, so people fall for the hype.
You can definitely gain weight naturally, but there's a limit based on your metabolism, which is actually a good thing. Eat healthy meals on a regular schedule. Get enough sleep. Talk to a nutritionist. Cutting back on activity will make you gain weight faster, but I wouldn't recommend that to anyone.
Bodybuilding is the most effective route, though it might not be everyone's vibe. Maybe some light weight training would help you out.
And don't overthink it too much. It’s pretty hard for a girl to get way too skinny, at least in the eyes of most guys 🙂.

Look, I don’t really have any advice to give you, but I just wanted to say that I am seriously JEALOUS!!! I mean, I wouldn’t say I’m overweight, but if I could drop even just 6 or 7 pounds, it would feel like finally taking off a heavy weighted vest I've been carrying around forever! Just enjoy yourself.🙏 And honestly, even though people keep giving you tips, please don't go stuffing yourself with junk food; try to be intentional about what you eat because it's your body, and you should love it for what it is, as long as you're staying healthy.👍

Man, if you just feast from 11 PM straight through to 3 AM, everything's going to be pure indulgence. Just watch how fast you'll gain weight.😁

What do you mean "hard for a girl to be too skinny"? What happened to the idea that it's better to be curvy? Now everyone attacks thin women like they're anorexic! Honestly, it just irritates me... or maybe I'm just subconsciously jealous of the girls who are a little fuller and only need to drop 3-4 pounds. Meanwhile, us skinny types have to practically kill ourselves just to hold onto a few pounds—training four times a week, every single session intense, every set heavy... eating every meal like it's a mission, sleeping 8 hours, and then eventually just crashing from the exhaustion! I did fine for a few years, but now I just CAN'T deal with it anymore! Whatever! My metabolism runs at full throttle, so I have to eat three times more than what I burn, and playing against nature like that is exhausting.
Now I'm trying things "clean" (without all the training) using Herbalife, and they're the only ones I trust because their products seem legit.
Does anyone else have experience with Herbalife!?

Cheers!
