Andrew Clark8 said:Plenty of exercise, eating regular meals, having snacks in between them. But honestly, that advice just didn't do much for me. They even suggested I spend a whole month eating nothing but my favorite things—tons of mayo, pasta, fried food, chips, you name it. Even then, I saw zero results. It really all comes down to why you actually need to gain weight and what the underlying reason for being thin is in the first place.

hahaha, seriously, who on earth told you that????

...anyone who actually wants to gain weight or get ripped needs to spend some decent time online first, just learning the "why" behind what they eat... if people actually took a little time to read up, they’d understand why almonds are a good choice, or realize that mayo should only be on your plate if your goal is to hit 450 pounds... which is something you’re never going to turn into muscle...
do a little searching on Google... look through forums, magazines, and stuff like that... don't just grab something or ask someone for advice just because they told you to...

Well...
I see all kinds of people posting here... you know, those looking to lose weight or tone up.
But it seems like nobody ever writes about being skinny and actually wanting to gain some weight..
So, if anyone out there can help me out..
I've been thin my entire life, but honestly, I'm tired of just being skin and bones.. I'd really love to put on some actual muscle.😁
The thing is, I eat CONSTANTLY.. I'll be snacking right until I fall asleep (sometimes as late as 2 AM).. but the problem is my portions are tiny. I can't eat much at once, so I feel hungry again within half an hour.
Are there any specific pills, supplements, therapies, "diets," or meal plans out there that actually work for this?
Thanks so much...😁

Look, just make yourself a massive pot of stuffed cabbage rolls.
Or better yet, a giant pot of potato dumplings.

Eat four cabbage rolls and four dumplings.
Go to sleep.
Take a stroll.
Repeat...

In a week, you’ll probably be up at least 10 pounds.
On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, you eat about a pound of dough smothered in ketchup, cheese, and meatballs.
Throw in some meat and white bread in between those meals. Maybe do some light exercise if you want the weight to distribute itself nicely—and voila!!

The whole point is the sheer volume of food all at once.

Thanks... I guess I'll be ready by New Year's when I finally have a pot of cabbage rolls sitting around...👍

Look, just try Ensure Plus—you can grab it at any pharmacy, or even get it via prescription if you play your cards right. It’s basically a medical-grade supplement specifically designed to help you gain weight.🙂

Some people just can't put on a single pound, no matter how much food they shovel into their faces.
They’re just built that way...
Then you've got the exact opposite crowd—people who catch even a whiff of chocolate and instantly gain five pounds. 😁
Seriously, though—try eating a little more pasta, potatoes, donuts, pizza, dumplings, sausage, bacon, etc., and see what happens. 😉

So, here’s the plan—I think I’ll just observe what the ladies over at the Bodybuilding house are up to and try to mimic them.

I feel like I can shove whatever I want down my throat, but nothing ever seems to stick except for a bit of extra weight around the midsection. I guess I just have an incredibly fast metabolism.

Here’s what actually worked for me to gain weight:
1. Brewer's yeast tablets—honestly, I was constantly starving, so I just found myself snacking on everything in sight all day long.
2. Cookies—think big, sweet ones loaded with walnuts and heavy cream...

plus
3. My thyroid finally giving up on me—I've been putting on about a pound every single week. (Look, I'm definitely not thrilled about having thyroid issues, but hey, there's a silver lining here, right?)

The catch:
With my luck, about 80% of those extra pounds decided to settle right around my waistline.

There’s been a lot of talk about this... and we'll definitely give it a shot...

But honestly, this bit of advice is probably the most legendary one yet..😂

Start taking birth control pills. After two months on them, I gained almost 11 pounds, which actually helped me hit my dream weight of 110 lbs. It looks great on me. Before this, I was wearing a size 2, 27-inch jeans, and now I've got a massive problem because nothing fits anymore. Now I can eat twice as much—instead of just one plate of spaghetti, I'm definitely grabbing a second helping. I'm constantly thinking about food, acting like I'm pregnant... I just hope I don't go overboard.

Try to eat every three hours, but just stick to smaller portions...

It really just depends on how old you are and what kind of metabolism you're working with. My brother used to be skin and bones, man... everyone would stare at him because they couldn't believe how much he could shovel down. He was constantly snacking, always eating something, but he stayed skinny as a rail. It went on like that for years...
Then he headed out to work over in Europe. We didn't see him for five whole years. When he finally came back home, we barely even recognized him... he'd packed on like 40 or 50 pounds.

How about mixing some high-fat milk with honey and snacking on almonds or peanuts?
Maybe you should try swimming—it doesn't just tone you up, but after a while, you actually build that layer of subcutaneous fat that acts like insulation. Honestly though, any kind of movement works, even just taking a walk in the fresh air.
What about those protein shakes bodybuilders swear by? Or maybe hit up a local gym and ask about a muscle-building program. In my experience, hitting the weights is definitely the way to go.👍

Hey everyone—so, I’m 16, about 5'8", and I'm sitting at only 110 lbs right now. Just to be clear, I don't have anorexia and I've got zero health issues, but man, I just cannot seem to gain any weight no matter what. I feel like I eat a totally normal amount, too. Has anyone else dealt with this? If you've been through something similar, please let me know what worked for you! Help a girl out!!🤷

I see you haven't posted any comments yet, but hey, maybe you could try reaching out
to your doctor and see if they can prescribe some kind of "weight gain diet" for you... 🙂 haha.

That’s similar to me having a BMI of 17.5, which is quite underweight. Your ideal weight would probably fall somewhere between 130-150 lbs, depending on your own preferences, of course. How long have you been at this weight? It is very likely just a result of your recent growth spurt, and now your body needs to compensate for those new inches. To start, maybe try some B-complex tablets. You could take one after each meal, three times a day. You can pick those up over the counter at any local pharmacy. By any chance, are you experiencing any digestive issues, like diarrhea or vomiting? Also, are your periods regular?

Everything feels totally fine on my end—no issues at all, really. I haven't even had to see a doctor in years... I’m feeling cheerful and pretty social too. To be honest, I've always carried a little extra weight around, but lately, it’s starting to really get on my nerves. Does anyone know of any specific foods that are total calorie bombs or just make you gain weight super fast???

I wouldn't recommend jumping into an instant diet just to hit a specific number on the scale, as those are usually quite unbalanced. It is better to eat regularly with a steady intake of nutritious food—roughly 50% carbohydrates, 20-30% protein, and the rest being fats. Also, try to get your vitamins through whole foods rather than relying solely on supplements. That said, starting out with a healthy diet paired with this B-complex three times a day after meals might help boost your appetite, and you should start seeing results within a month. Just be careful to avoid any sudden fluctuations in weight...
