Acyclovir or Herplex. Both have worked 👍

Herpes on your lips? Sounds familiar, right?😉 I dealt with this nightmare for the longest time—it keeps coming back because, let's be real, you can't actually kill it. It just sits there, lurking under your skin, waiting for your immune system to take a hit from stress, overworking yourself, or getting fried by too much sun. Back in the day, I used this cream called Virumerz—if I remember correctly—and it worked almost instantly.

The catch? Even with that cream, the outbreaks still kept happening. One time, I had a massive one—we're talking huge—and when I went to the pharmacy, they didn't have my usual stuff. Instead, they handed me some local brand made with lemon balm. Pretty sure it was produced by Procter & Gamble. I applied it, but man, the progress was painfully slow. It took like a week, maybe even longer, for the thing to finally clear up. I was absolutely livid! But, weirdly enough, after that ordeal, it hasn't come back. And that was seven years ago.

The moral of the story: all those "miracle" quick fixes? They're just temporary band-aids for the underlying issue.😉

Maybe try taking some B-Complex vitamins and maybe some immune support supplements, like Echinacea or Thyme.

Well, an absolutely massive herpes outbreak flared up on me this morning... it’s hurting and itching so intensely that I feel like I might actually lose my mind...

Unfortunately, using Herplex last night didn't provide any real relief at all...

I’m starting to wonder what I should eventually do about using propolis? My neighbors have some on hand, so I could probably pick some up... mine is located right on my lower lip—actually, it isn't even strictly on the lip itself, but rather just below it where it meets the lip line? There isn't really any mucous membrane there, I suppose...🤔

You can use Acyclovir from any manufacturer, though I personally recommend Virolex. You should apply it as soon as that doctor prescribes it... just keep applying it. It works for me; if I apply it the first time right away, I never end up developing vesicles. Some cases are more stubborn and require intensive application for maybe two days, but Acyclovir is quite potent...

I haven't gone through this entire thread, but I would suggest heading over to the Oral Medicine department at a dental school. That should be your best bet if you're dealing with Herpes outbreaks within the oral cavity.

How much does Famcirlovir cream cost without a prescription?

And is it even possible to get it without a script?
In my experience, Virolex doesn't really do anything for me; it just makes everything soggy and actually makes things feel worse.
The Bioherpin gel works okay for me since it dries things out quickly, but then the skin cracks and starts bleeding...

So far, the most effective remedy I’ve found is that little Herplex cream. During the first and second days, I apply it to the herpes outbreak every two or three hours. Before I put on a fresh layer, I make sure to wipe away the old residue with a damp cotton swab. By the third day, that nasty, painful blister usually vanishes. After that, I alternate between applying Herplex and using Vaseline; if I use nothing but the Herplex, the skin gets way too dry and starts cracking. On the fourth day, I just stick to the Vaseline. In my experience, this is the fastest way to get rid of a fever sore.

So, I woke up yesterday and realized I’ve got a little herpes flare-up on my upper lip. Has anyone here found a cream or an ointment that actually works?

Alright, thanks so much for the help! Quick question though—after how many days does it usually clear up?

vinova lozinka said:If you catch a herpes outbreak on your lip or inside your nose, you can seriously cut down its lifespan if you smash some Virolex on it the second you feel those first symptoms coming on. But watch out—if you go overboard and slather it on too thick or too often, that cream will eat right through your healthy skin, leaving you with a double mess.
For me, herpes always flares up right after a nasty cold, a virus, or a bout of the flu.

Word on the street is they’re supposedly finding a way to wipe out herpes entirely by exposing the site to ozone—basically pure oxygen. Apparently, if you hit the spot with it, the herpes vanishes in about 15 to 20 minutes and won't even show up there again.

So, here’s the deal—I dealt with oral herpes for about ten years, almost every single month. Since I don't eat meat, I figured maybe I was running low on something essential... I used to manage the outbreaks with Virolex. But then, about two years ago, I started drinking 100% orange juice every day—and the herpes just vanished. I have a little bit right now, but it's been at least two or three years since my last flare-up.

It seems like mine show up every 15 to 20 days or so 😂
I think I might be losing my patience with this; I usually apply some toothpaste for the first two days to help dry it out, and then switch to Panthenol to encourage faster healing. In fact, I have one on my lower lip right now. It seems like they tend to flare up whenever I'm under any kind of stress,

Virolex/HerpleX is honestly a lifesaver—it shuts things down right at the start. If I didn't have it, I’d easily be losing about 30% of my year to this...😂
It was clearly just a deficiency on my part—I started taking 100% juice every single day and the issues just vanished. Even up to this point... ehehe.

Has anyone dealt with a herpes outbreak on their face, maybe near the mouth? I just got one a few days ago and I'm honestly freaking out a bit... Usually it's just Herpes Simplex on my lip or nose, but nothing right by the mouth like this. Could it be shingles?...

If you haven't dealt with chickenpox before, then it’s probably not shingles. But if you have, it could be that—the virus just sits there, dormant, waiting for your immune system to take a hit before it flares up again.
It might also be Herpes Simplex. You'll see blisters that eventually turn into scabs. Don't pick at them. Seriously. If you peel them, you're going to end up with permanent scarring.

Shingles follows the nerve path, but it's much more common across the body, even though it can technically pop up anywhere.

Go see a doctor and get some antiviral creams.

I once had a massive herpes breakout on my face, but I used an ointment and it cleared right up.

🙂🙂🙂
