Shouldn't you get an infection in your mouth or something then??? 😁

Well, yeah, you *can* get it—in your mouth, your gut, your genitals... everywhere. But thank God it's actually easy to fix. You can grab creams or vaginal suppositories at any drugstore without even needing a prescription, as long as you tell them you're already on antibiotics and have dealt with this before. But seriously, don't be stupid—go to a doctor and make sure both partners get treated. It's the guy too! And honestly, there's no harm in just slathering on some Canesten before you go at it... though using lube is probably better.

Walter Myers4, look, you gotta realize that Candida is actually hanging out in about 70% of people with totally healthy microbiomes.

It only turns into a real problem when conditions start playing favorites—you know, things getting damp, warm, sugary... or when antibiotics go flying through your system and wipe out the good bacteria that usually keep everything in check—so the whole balance just goes sideways.

Just because it’s there doesn't mean it's attacking you. And honestly? You can't just nuking it away with some local application of Canesten. Also, you aren't going to trigger an infection—like the itching and all that discharge—just by sleeping with a guy who already has Candida in his own flora. If you *are* prone to these flare-ups, using Canesten before sex isn't necessarily a bad move—but for heaven's sake, don't use condoms for birth control if you do, because that cream can absolutely wreck them. Plus, sperm is alkaline, which can really irritate an already messed-up mucous membrane.

Someone mentioned using a baking soda wash. Seriously? Don't do that. It messes with the natural acidity of the vagina—the pH is around 4, which is relatively acidic, while baking soda is alkaline. By messing with that acidity, you're basically destroying your healthy microflora—which means killing off those good bacteria that protect your membranes from other pathogens... including the runaway Candida.

It only turns into a pathogen when conditions start favoring its growth—think damp, warm, sugary environments, or when you've nuked your good bacteria with antibiotics and totally trashed the balance.

Just because it’s there doesn't mean it's causing trouble. And no, you can't just wipe it out by slapping on some Canesten locally. Also, stop blaming your boyfriend! You aren't going to trigger an infection (itching and discharge) just because he already has Candida in his system. If you *are* prone to outbreaks, applying Canesten before sex isn't a bad idea, but for heaven's sake, don't use condoms for birth control right after—that cream can actually damage them. Plus, semen is alkaline, which can really irritate an already messed-up mucous membrane.

Someone mentioned using a baking soda wash. That is a terrible idea. It messes with your natural vaginal acidity—your pH should be around 4, which is acidic, while baking soda is alkaline. By messing with that acidity, you're destroying the healthy microflora—those very bacteria that protect your membranes from other pathogens, including the rogue Candida.

There's a better tip floating around those Dr. Harny pages... apparently, once you clear up the fungus, you insert a little acidophilus down there? Like, to help rebuild the natural culture... what do you think about that? Have you ever tried it?👍

Nah, haven't tried it since I don't have a Candida issue—honestly, though, before I'd even touch those "old wives' tale" remedies, I'd rather go with something that actually has a decent concentration of active ingredients... you know, stuff that actually works...😁

Anyway, come on, spill it—what kind of stuff have you been shoving down there?😉

Anyone have any experiences to share? I'm looking for some real-world stories on this. 🙂

I'm at her place.
She’s young, totally chill, and actually really easy to talk to. Seriously, I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone complain about her or mention anything awkward about her.
As far as views go, they're just views. There isn't anything particularly special there that warrants making a formal complaint. 🙂
I highly recommend this... 🙂

Everything you said remains true, but he didn't contract fungi anywhere—I’m telling you, that wasn't part of his infection... and regarding the other matter, actually seeing a doctor... trying to get an appointment at the University Health Center has become a total mission impossible. I spent hours waiting today and still didn't get seen, and tomorrow will likely be the exact same story where I don't get my turn... and it just keeps happening week after week, unless, of course, I book my slot a month in advance, then maybe I'll finally be able to see someone.
I don't have any specific news regarding private enterprises at the moment.😲 It’s honestly become a disaster... I'm planning to head out tomorrow to pick up my medical card and start hunting for a local clinic—any practice at all that will accept patients covered under social services. I just can't deal with these health issues anymore.😠

Thanks so much, Sam Jackson29! 😉 I'll be looking for that remedy as soon as I can; I just can't quite wrap my head around where "Old Vlaška" is, because while the name rings a bell, the location is completely slipping my mind.🙂

When you're on Draskovicova, don't head toward Jurisiceva. Instead, take the other way. The first left leads to Old Vlaska. 🙂

I feel like I’ve already addressed a question like this once before... but yeah, Dr. Gregov is practicing there... though, personally, I wouldn't recommend her.
I’ll probably head over tomorrow to pick up my medical records, because honestly, the sheer level of indifference they allow themselves there is becoming unbearable.
I mean, the woman seems fine enough if you actually have an appointment, you wait your month for the slot, and then everything goes okay, I suppose..
Last time, I waited an entire month, even though I had been there a month prior dealing with an infection—it wasn't considered urgent enough back then. When I finally showed up for my scheduled time, the woman didn't seem to realize I was on the list; she kept lecturing me about how I wasn't an appointment patient, acting like I was wasting her precious time by asking basic questions or anything like that... it's like if you don't have a formal appointment, you simply don't exist to them. For instance, I went in today because that same infection has flared up again, the one that supposedly was "all fine" back when I was last seen... I sat there waiting for two and a half hours, and I never even got called in. Instead, they just handed me my file with a little note from the nurse that said "NOT AN APPOINTMENT PATIENT," which apparently serves as a signal to the doctor on how she should treat me..
And it looks like I won't be able to see anyone tomorrow either, since the schedule is completely packed with people who actually booked ahead. There's no point showing up at 7:00 AM because all the slots are taken, and showing up at 1:00 PM near the end of the day is useless because, well... you can guess... it's the end of the shift, and it's the same frustrating cycle every single week.

...not to mention that my mother passed away from breast cancer, and when I mentioned that and asked to get a breast ultrasound, she just waved me off. She told me not to be ridiculous and asked why I would even need that since I'm only 21 and it's too early... just endless nonsense like that..

Please, if any of you know of a gynecology clinic anywhere in the city that accepts patients under social insurance, let me know. I've been struggling with these issues for months because I made the mistake of going to a GP who prescribed the wrong medications (but that's a whole other story)... things that a specialist should have handled, yet I haven't been able to get an appointment for weeks..

Well, in that case... I wish you the best of luck, because you're certainly in a worse spot than I am.😢

I was wondering if anyone could recommend or point me toward a gynecologist's office in the city that accepts Medicaid?

Thanks so much!😉

I am aware they take patients at Siget, and if I recall correctly, the staff consists entirely of female doctors—there should be four of them there.
I believe that none of the physicians I'm familiar with, such as Dr. Magor or Dr. Dropulic, would ever turn away a patient simply because they hadn't made an appointment beforehand. One must present the referral paperwork, of course. So, while you might find yourself waiting, it is the truth: they will see you.

Best of luck!👋

From what I’ve seen, none of the doctors I know (like Dr. Magor or Dr. Dropulic) have turned away a patient unless they weren't on the schedule. You really do need an appointment, that's true, but they will see you...

Good luck!👋

Thank you so much!
I’m just not entirely sure where Siget is located—that’s part of the new development in the city, right?
Could you please help me out by explaining exactly where the health clinic is situated so I don't end up wandering around too much.
Thanks again 😉 👋

Roger Ramos27 said:Honestly, everyone, this is just terrible. 😢 I’ve been struggling with this for over a year now... my gynecologist prescribed both vaginal suppositories and a cream, and I make sure to use only specific intimate washes when I shower, yet it absolutely refuses to go away!!!!!!!
It’s been weighing on my mind lately because things feel a bit off during intimacy; I feel like I’m too slippery for him, and he’s mentioned that he isn't really "feeling" me the way he used to. 😢
Sometimes, taking a few days to just step back and disconnect can be enough for everything to finally feel right again.
Honestly, it’s just exhausting... It really wears you down when you're just craving some normal, genuine intimacy.

Roger Ramos27, help is on the way. 😁
It’s all well and good to ask for help, I suppose... but honestly, my suitcase is practically overflowing with doctor visits, only to be met with the same old routine—just some prescription for vaginal suppositories and creams from the pharmacy.

Na forumu My doctor gave me this feedback, at least from my perspective: I need to go through a full microbiological workup—specifically swabs for aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, mycoplasma, chlamydia, and digene—along with another urine culture and antibiogram, plus a gynecological exam using a vaginal ultrasound if possible. 🙂
I've been dealing with an extra layer of trouble lately with E. coli... and then there's the occasional bout of Candida on top of everything else.
My point was simply that you might want to try conducting some thorough searches and looking into all the possibilities instead of just heading down to the pharmacy for the NEXT box of vaginal suppositories, because it might not be a simple case of Candida after all... good luck!
As soon as I find a doctor who’s actually willing to take me in and give me a hug, I'll get all of that taken care of.
😁

Dr. Miller used to be my doctor. Neither she nor my sister were much a fit for me..

The local clinic.. If you take the 7th Street from the plaza, or the 8th from the alleyway, or the 7th off the main road (you know which way), it’s just one stop past the fairgrounds. You’ll hit a massive intersection, then head toward the downtown district where the buses run. Walk about five minutes down that way, passing by the maritime institute... Cross the small side street and there it is. Just keep going straight. Or you can just ask someone; everyone knows where it is.

P.S. Show up much earlier than planned. When I had an appointment, I ended up waiting three hours. 🙄

Honestly, that nurse is losing her mind over the lack of organization, and the doctor seems a bit bewildered, though in principle, you actually perform everything required of you... because of all that confusion, I’d much rather just leave, but I have no idea where to go... I always find myself promising to move on whenever I'm stuck waiting an eternity at my usual clinic, yet here I am, watching a woman walk out of a "dried up" exam room only to head straight into the neighboring office over at Dr. Dropulic's... I just can't seem to make up my mind...
Fortunately, I only have to deal with this once a year.

Hey, if anyone's doing private consults, hit me up

So, like, how much does a general checkup run? 😁

I mean, I'm looking at the whole works—blood work, physical, labs, all that extra stuff that comes with it...

And yeah, I’m really hoping to see a female doctor specifically.

Thanks! 🙂

How much does a bottle of General's cost these days? I can't recall the last time I actually checked the price tag at the local liquor store—it feels like everything is getting more expensive by the minute... probably just my imagination, though. 😁

It’s just everything—the dad, the breeze, the sheer absurdity of it all... and then there's that little extra bit that follows right along with it...

Honestly... I’m just looking for a woman. A doctor, specifically. It’s a simple enough request—or at least, it feels like it should be...

You're welcome... if you even need saying. 🙂

I was over at the Mayo Clinic visiting Dr. Mazalin...
The wife is wonderful—and honestly, I was ready to go in fifteen minutes flat...

$143.
