Honestly, Afrodiita, I feel bad even typing this, but you either have absolutely no clue what antibiotics actually are or you clearly haven't a prayer about what you were actually sick with.

Austin Chavez76 said:Honey, maybe you don't realize what you actually had during your pregnancy

You're totally right, Austin Chavez76—we have no clue what you were dealing with back then, but honestly, it sounds like even you aren't quite sure either... 🙄
I can only guess you might've had chlamydia, which gets cleared up with antibiotics. Go ahead and look this up so you can compare chlamydia and candida. Look, I'm not claiming you definitely had one or the other, but like Kenneth Hernandez67 said, you either have no idea what happened or you're a bit fuzzy on how antibiotics work. And from the looks of it, you're supposed to be a nurse by profession... 🙄

zeno, what's your deal? I mean, chlamydia is a serious STI, and thank God I've never had to deal with something like that... plus, you really shouldn't be pregnant if you have chlamydia because it puts the baby at risk. Also—I know exactly what I had, and I know how it was treated. Maybe I did take antibiotics just to clear it up quickly, but like I said, any irregular issues during pregnancy aren't great for the baby. Besides, I have my nursing degree and spent five years working in a clinic. I don't get how you can even group two different things together like chlamydia and yeast infections?! 🙄 but whatever... she's being pretty silly asking us ladies for advice instead of just seeing a doctor. It's her own body, after all!

Kenneth Hernandez67, maybe give me a shout once you've finished nursing school and actually spent some time working with antibiotics!

Austin Chavez76, wouldn't it be much simpler if you just shared what happened once you finally figure it all out? 👋

Candidiasis isn't something you just fix with a round of antibiotics, period.

You could hold a medical degree and still be completely clueless, or frankly, just lack the ability to express a coherent thought.

Since when was a 4.0 considered "amazing" success? 😕 😁

Kenneth Hernandez67, I guess you probably already knew I finished my nursing degree here. I actually met my boyfriend at work back then, too, though I never really liked the job... mostly because of those damn uniforms and the hours. I love what I do much more now, plus I get to be my own boss. And the pay is basically the same!

In the US, they have some truly outstanding options, maybe even 4.0-level stuff which is pretty top-tier, similar to what we see back home.

Alisa, were you just watching movies or did you actually spend some real time over there?

Austin Chavez76, why on earth does a girl asking for advice have to be treated like an idiot?? 😕

Since I won't be able to get to my gynecologist for a few days, I'm looking for some first aid advice. Anyone have tips?
I've been scouring the internet for answers, and honestly, the symptoms I've been dealing with for the last couple of days match up perfectly with what I’m about to paste below. It's pretty overwhelming. Unfortunately, I can't get an appointment with my gynecologist right this second, so I'm kind of stuck. Please, if anyone has any advice on how to manage the discomfort or just get through these next few days until I can actually see a doctor, I'd really appreciate it.
Does anyone know of any over-the-counter stuff I can grab at a pharmacy? Like a rinse or a topical cream, maybe even some tea? Just looking for something to take the edge off these symptoms.
Honestly, I’m terrified of just taking random stuff without seeing a gynecologist first. Can someone please recommend something mild? Just enough to help me get through the next few days. 🙂
[

I didn't mention this earlier, and maybe someone already hit me with an answer, but I’m not going to repeat myself just for the sake of it:
Candida is usually just hanging out in our bodies, but it goes absolutely haywire the second we...
Maybe we're just building weaker, more fragile immune systems. It could be the aftermath of heavy antibiotic use, or maybe it's all this junk we're wearing—synthetic, unnatural materials that just don't sit right with the body. I don't know. Just feels off.
I honestly think Geonistin would be the way to go here, but unfortunately, you can't just get it through a standard doctor's prescription. It's frustrating.
I went through this exact same thing a few years back. I was living in London at the time, and my doctor actually looked me straight in the face and told me I was wearing way too many pants. Her "medical advice"? She said I needed to start wearing skirts just to let things breathe. Yeah. That’s for real. That is exactly what she said.🙄 🙄 🙄
I was struggling so much until my mom finally tossed me that Geonistin. Ever since then? Never had another issue. Not even close.
My grandma used to always swear by rinsing with chamomile tea mixed with a little bit of baking soda. After that, she’d say applying some Canesten wouldn't hurt either—it might actually help calm down the irritation.

But tell me, Alisa, were you actually watching movies during your stay, or were you simply passing the time there?

Yes, 😳

Thanks... for basically repeating what I just said. My doctor put me on an antibiotic, which I took for ten days, just because of the pregnancy. Besides that, there's creams, vaginal suppositories, and now there are these three-day pills you take, but you can only get them with a prescription.

Alisa—yeah, me too, I guess... she stayed over at his old place before she sold it. Everything started happening right there.😳 😉
What kind of ghetto was it? Like, which part of the city?

Antibiotics won't touch Candida. Seriously, they never will...
