And it’ll probably take like 20 minutes before it even kicks in...🤷

Well, look, you'll get through this soon enough...🙂 Yeah, Ketoral works wonders for me. Honestly, half a 100mg tablet is usually plenty. My advice? Start small every single time to figure out exactly how much you actually need to dull the pain. There’s no point in overdoing it for no reason. I used to take the 150mg ones, then switched down to the 100mg, and now I just split that 100mg in half and I'm good to go...

Ugh... seriously... ugh. This is bad, really bad. I've been dealing with these brutal pains since I was 11—now I'm 21. I've tried everything under the sun... Advil, Aleve, Tylenol, Excedrin, Motrin, Plivadon (not all at once, obviously 😁) and whatnot, but the pain barely drops by even 10%... if that. It’s basically useless. Then, I accidentally stumbled upon some Ibuprofen granules 👍👍... they dissolve in water, taste pretty decent—kind of like a Gatorade vibe—and I can honestly say the pain starts fading in less than 10 minutes. Before this, my only options were a heating pad on my stomach or sitting in a hot bath—especially for my left side, though heat always makes the bleeding way worse

Honestly, the only thing that actually touches the pain for me is Knavon 100/150 mg (and yeah—the 100 mg Ketonal is basically the exact same deal)—it kicks in after about 20 minutes or so, but anything weaker than that? Total waste of time. Nothing else works.

Ever since I can remember, my periods have been nothing but agony—constant cramps and zero ability to sit, lie down, or even walk without feeling like I’m falling apart.
I started mine today, and honestly, I only realized because I checked. No pain. No weird sensations. Just some mild abdominal discomfort over the last few days, and then today arrived completely unannounced and painless. I’m not trying to complain, but I’m genuinely baffled. How is this even possible??🤷

They’ve been completely painless for me at times, too. Don't worry, it happens.

Same here, it happens from time to time. My last cycle was exactly like that. It’s always such a relief when the first day goes by without me having to pop a couple of Advil just to manage the pain. 😁

We really are pathetic when we have to console each other because our period actually didn't hurt for once.🤣

''Don't worry, this one was easy, the next ones will kill you again, everything's fine.'' 🤣

Hahahaha, true, we should probably play it cool.🙂
Anyway, this one is acting completely strange. It’s been like this for two days now—almost nothing happening. Just a sudden "burst" and then everything goes black right at the end. It’s honestly pretty confusing.😕

What can I even say? Hormones.

My last one was totally weird, too. I didn't have any PMS, my breasts weren't sore like they usually are, and I didn't even have cramps when my period actually started.

But because of that, I have a gut feeling this one is going to be a total bitch. My breasts started aching a few days after that weird bleeding stopped—I had some mid-cycle spotting that looked more like an actual period for a day 🙄 (which happens to me sometimes, but this was intense), so now I’m just waiting for my period to hit so I can down half a bottle of Advil.

I’m not even sure if I’ve ever posted here before, but I’ve been lurking in this thread... mostly... so I figured I’d join the club. 😢
I can't pin down exactly when the pain started—whether it was there from my very first period or kicked in later on—but I'm pretty sure it started after a while. Anyway, my legs just absolutely ache. Maybe it's a circulation issue or something? I've gained a little weight recently, so maybe there's a connection there. On top of that, I get nauseous and feel like I’m actually going to pass out. Honestly, without painkillers and sleep, I wouldn't make it through. 😢
Right now, I’m taking half a dose of Ibuprofen because I’m also on another medication and I don't really want to mix too many things up. But lately, even that hasn't been helping much. Usually, the pain subsides pretty quickly, but maybe I’ll have to start taking the full pill. Sometimes I get lucky and the pain doesn't hit, but unfortunately, that’s rare. 😢
I know I’m supposed to take magnesium beforehand, but ugh... I always forget, even though I did recently start taking some vitamins. Once or twice, working out a day or two before helped and I didn't have any pain, but just when I thought I had found a solution... it stopped working. I haven't seen a gynecologist yet, but I should probably go soon.
Today was another day of brutal pain. Maybe I should just take a pill the second I feel those first signs of discomfort... but I always think to myself, "Oh, it probably won't be that bad." Well, yeah... I'm 19.
So, yeah... that's my situation.

After enduring fifteen years of absolutely brutal periods—I’m talking fainting spells, vomiting, fevers, and basically every miserable symptom imaginable—I finally had a realization.

First off, regardless of whether a pill is labeled as being "easy" on the stomach, it is always a much better idea to take it after eating; at least, that is what the pharmacist at my local CVS advised me.

But the second thing, which is by far the MOST critical part of the whole ordeal, is simply taking the medication on time. For me, that means getting ahead of the cycle entirely by starting my medication a full day before my period actually arrives; I'll start with something milder, like two Tylenols, but then, either the day before it starts or the very moment I feel like it’s about to hit, I switch over to Neoofen Forte.

Sometimes, the Neoofen really wreaks havoc on my stomach the following day, causing some intense discomfort, but what else can I do? At the very least, it actually manages to dull the pain.

So, if you ask me, the absolute key is to stay ahead of the curve and take that pill early, because once the pain truly takes hold, wouldn't even an injection at the ER be able to touch it?🙄

I only take something when the pain actually hits—usually just one or two Voltaren pills, depending on how bad it gets.

Hey everyone, how do your breasts act right before or during your period?
Mine are acting super weird. I felt this lump and went to see my OBGYN, and he just poked at it and said everything was fine (but that was it...)
Now I’m just waiting for this damn period to show up, because both of them ache, and I already felt another weird lump on one of them... they both just hurt...
What about you guys?

Before my period hits, during that PMS phase, my breasts get really sore and I can feel these little lumps. Sometimes they're more noticeable, sometimes less. Once my period passes, the soreness goes away and those lumps just recede.

I think that’s pretty standard; the mammary glands tend to swell up a bit right before your period starts.

Whew, okay, good. Glad it's not just me... 😛
I’m always freaking out about my health, honestly. Probably just a total hypochondriac... 😁
But I actually went to my OB-GYN for this a few months back. He did the whole routine checkup, everything felt fine, and he said it's just glandular tissue. Still doesn't totally calm my nerves, though...

Honestly, the first time it happened, I was totally spooked. But then I realized it usually pulls back during my period or right after. Once I started noticing it happening month after month, it clicked—it’s definitely tied to my PMS.

Yeah, probably from that. It hurts like hell anyway, so who knows... if the doctor says everything's fine, I guess it's fine... 😁

Does anyone happen to know of any natural remedies for pain? Because honestly—I feel like I’m dying here—and even the over-the-counter pills aren't doing a thing for me.😢

Anyone know if stress can actually mess with pain levels?🤷 Because honestly, I’ve been in a complete mental tailspin these last few months—my period is running 5-6 days late every single time, the cramps are hitting way harder than usual, and my last ovulation was basically a bloodbath.🙄 Can life being a total wreck really cause all this?
