cileste $19...

And they aren't even covered by Medicare—nothing new there. They don't even carry the necessary medications...

Come on, ladies, enough already! We can deal with these little numbers later; if we aren't careful, they’re going to end up costing us a fortune... 😲

Don't leave me hanging like this right before the weekend starts. 🙂

And is there even anything left to gain from all that! 🙂

Don't ruin my weekend vibes, please. 🙂

Well, they totally are the priciest! I was pretty annoyed when that Triquilar deal jumped to $7.75 37, but yours are just brutal on the wallet, I guess, compared to what else is out there.

It certainly looks like they are the most expensive option on the market, but for where I’m at right now, they’re doing the job just fine....

And before you even think about starting any pills; listen up. Every six months or so, you gotta get this done: a full blood panel; liver function tests (bilirubin, AST, ALT, GGT); and check those platelets (!!! super important). Basically, almost any hormonal meds crank up the risk for blood clots, heart attacks, and all that bad stuff...

I already went in for those tests, everything came back fine, including my kidneys... plus, I don't really have health issues and I'm a non-smoker.
But after reading all this, I'm definitely hitting up my doctor again. That’s a given, for sure.
Thanks again, everyone,

These are definitely on the pricier side, and honestly, even I was a bit shocked by the tag. But whatever—they claim these have the lowest hormone content and use the most recent tech.
That’s at least what I’ve heard.....

I just realized—Diane 35 isn't actually a contraceptive pill, and you definitely shouldn't use it for birth control!!!

They’re prescribed specifically for acne issues, and even then, they’re only meant to be taken for a short time.
The contraceptive effect is more like a side effect (which is actually kind of nice), but it's not their primary purpose, so they aren't supposed to be used long-term.

There was actually quite a bit of discussion about this on another thread.
I think the manufacturer was even fined once because they marketed them as contraceptives.

Around here, doctors always act like they know best and won't listen to anything you say, but I guess I'd suggest seeing a different doctor.

And someone mentioned earlier in that thread that the box itself doesn't even list them as birth control, so I don't see why a doctor who actually cares about their patient's health would prescribe them that way.

So, I just remembered all you ladies out there on birth control
(like Yaz, Lo Loestrin, or Alesse)
Are you even aware that you’re at a higher risk for blood clots, strokes, and heart attacks? Not to mention the
deficiencies in zinc, folic acid, vitamin C, E, B2, B6, and B12—which is exactly why people on the pill deal with mood swings and depression. 😲 😲 😲

I don't know if you guys realized this... but...
I wanted to give you a heads-up.

It would be a really good idea to start taking some vitamin and mineral supplements.

Look, I’m fully aware of all that, and trust me, I’m not touching any of it. Condoms are non-negotiable!

I know what I’m doing, and I’m taking them.
Everything in life involves some level of risk. My gynecologist and I have weighed the options, and we both agreed that the benefits far outweigh any potential downsides.

In certain situations, birth control pills are incredibly useful—not just as a contraceptive, but as a legitimate tool for preventing and treating various health issues.

On a completely different note, I actually really enjoy using those colorful, scented, textured condoms. 🙂

Take them, seriously. Do you guys even realize you're basically playing Russian roulette with blood clots, strokes, and heart attacks? It's insane.
Zinc, folic acid, vitamin C, vitamin E, and all those B vitamins—B2, B6, B12—basically if you're low on these, your nerves are gonna be shot and you’ll feel like absolute garbage. It’s pretty much why people on the pill end up feeling so depressed and wired. 😲 😲 😲

I don't know if you guys actually found them... I mean...
Just wanted to give you guys a heads-up.

Honestly, you guys really ought to be taking some vitamin and mineral supplements.

Lately, I’ve been feeling pretty on edge, and honestly, kind of depressed too. I started taking Celest, and I have never felt this "weird" before—I’ve never really dealt with these kinds of lows. I’m thinking the pills are definitely the culprit, so I went back and actually sat down to read through the side effects in the manual. And right there, among everything else, it says this:
Central nervous system stuff: migraines, headaches, all that crap. Mental depression is a heavy weight to carry. It’s like this constant, suffocating fog that just won't lift, making everything feel completely pointless and draining every ounce of energy you have left. Honestly, it’s exhausting just trying to exist some days. I don’t have migraines or anything like that, but man, this depression is hitting me hard. I’m positive it’s the pills because I just feel so down, and these dark thoughts keep circling my head. I’ve never acted like this before, so it feels really weird. Other than the depressive vibes, the birth control actually works for me—no other side effects, and my period cramps have basically vanished, which is a huge plus since sex is easy and stress-free now. Still, I can't wait to get off them. Once my guy finishes his military service and starts his job in about six months to a year, we can finally start trying for a baby.🙂
I'm taking Vitamin C effervescents and those ABC Plus multivitamins from Natural Wealth, plus I stay pretty active, but I'm a smoker so my brain's basically fried anyway.
I can't wait to finally quit drinking them.

This is easily the worst possible combo: (constant movement + smoking) multiplied by (pills + smoking)...

Honestly, it’s just this heat. When it hits 95°F out here, my brain basically turns to mush and everything starts moving way too fast. 😁
(Are you actually doing okay? I mean, you’re seriously clapping along to my "garbage tier" jokes. 😁 )

Are you feeling okay? Because honestly, it feels like you’re practically drooling over my "cheap condoms." 😁 )

You’re totally washing out, my dear Luce... For the last ten posts, you've basically reduced the entire universe to thermodynamics. I can see that PhD is actually making progress (I know the feeling—not from a doctorate specifically, but more like working on something at high temperatures for way too long).😁 Come on, honestly—it’s like we’ve finally earned our own Nobel Prize right here on this forum. 😎

Dealing with these constant accusations is a little much, honestly, but there's an undeniable charm to it that you just can't ignore. And truly... 😳

.. I didn't know that—well, I've heard the talk, but it never really clicked for me... I don't have any "psychological" side effects, I'm not popping multivitamins, vitamins, or anything of the sort, I smoke (like a chimney)... I'm on Logest.... ah... blah....

Look, I'm not the one at fault here; Winnie is the one who egged me on. And since science is pretty much dead lately anyway, I figured I might as well take the opportunity. 😁 From here on out, I'm staying quiet—I'll just keep all the secrets of the universe to myself. 😁

(Forget the Nobel Prize; I'm way too old for that nonsense now. 😁)

Why? Care to explain, please. 😢
I'm on medication and I smoke quite a bit—can't seem to kick the habit no matter what.😢
Though I've cut back from two packs a day a few months ago—down to just one now.😢
