Here’s the deal:

I’m on Yasmin... I started a new pack last Wednesday. Well, I was supposed to start then, but since it was a holiday here in the States, all the pharmacies were closed. I missed that day, but obviously just took two the next morning. I didn't have any sex, so everything seemed fine...

But, by some weird twist of fate, I forgot again yesterday (Thursday), which means I'm now in my second week of the cycle. So, I just took two pills today to catch up. Everything felt okay until I actually read the Yasmin pamphlet, which says if you miss more than one pill during a cycle, you really ought to consult a doctor.

I haven't been able to get through to my gynecologist, and even after explaining things twice to the nurse, I don't think she quite grasped the situation—or maybe she did and just thinks it's no big deal, because she told me there wasn't an issue. To make matters worse, I've tried calling every on-call OBGYN clinic in the area, but nobody is picking up the phone...

Does anyone happen to know what my next steps should be?
It feels pretty urgent...

Brenda Diaz said:I've been on Yasmin for about eight months now. I have just four pills left in this pack before I make the switch over to Logest... has anyone here actually made that transition from one to the other? I’m curious what your experiences were like moving between these two... As for the Yasmin, I didn't deal with too many major side effects, though my libido has completely vanished 😠 and, well, my breasts have definitely become quite swollen 😍...

I was just like you—switched from Yasmin to Loestrin after 8 months, and now I’m halfway through my second pack of Loestrin...
I quit Yasmin because of complete vaginal dryness (it was honestly miserable 😳), mood swings (though those settled down eventually), and my breasts hurt almost constantly (even if they did grow a full size 😁). My libido stayed fine, though.

Basically, the first month on Loestrin was great. My breasts were swollen, but they didn't hurt, and my natural lubrication came back... everything felt fine...
But now, on the second pack, the issues are back. I'm not dry anymore, which is a plus, but my breasts hurt TERRIBLY. They're swollen, heavy, and hard again... and my sex drive is completely gone. I had sex yesterday and it just felt wrong, like I was forcing myself to do it 😢 and I couldn't feel anything at all...
We'll see how things go from here... 🙄

So, I’ve got a bit of an issue... though I guess calling it a "problem" might be a stretch...

I switched over to Yasmin on Monday, and by Tuesday, I started taking Triquilar. According to the instructions—and my doctor confirmed this—there isn't supposed to be a seven-day break; you just jump straight into the new pack.

Here’s the catch: my doctor told me that because of the switch to these new pills, I wouldn't have a period this month. Well, surprise, surprise—mine showed up yesterday.

It’s not exactly a heavy flow, but let's call it what it is: a period.

I’m sitting here wondering if this happened because the hormone levels in Yasmin and Triquilar aren't quite identical.

Basically, I was promised no period this month, yet here we are. It didn't hit on the usual day I'd expect based on when I was on Yasmin, but it did show up exactly one day late.

I’m curious if anyone else has dealt with this. Should I actually be worried about having a period that, according to my doctor, shouldn't technically be happening? Today is Saturday, and I can't exactly call the clinic right now, so I'm stuck waiting until Monday.

Thanks! 😢

Yeah, I totally forgot to mention the dryness too. I'm really hoping things take a turn for the better soon. But honestly, there is no way I'd ever want to give up my curves. I just hope they don't disappear on me... 🙂

Just one quick question for you guys... did everyone just collectively decide to stop following Yasmin because of all this crazy panic that broke out lately, or what???

I'm currently on my fourth box of Yasmin—just a standard daily pill, nothing fancy—and my breasts are still killing me. Like, seriously hurting. They feel super hard to the touch, too, almost like my glands have decided to go on strike or swell up overnight.
So, I was wondering if any of you ladies have dealt with this kind of breast pain lasting longer than three months? It’s getting old. Even during my break between packs, they still ache—it’s just constant.

Jamie Barnes60 I’ve been sitting here for quite some time now... just thinking about how much everything seems to shift when you finally stop running. It’s funny, isn't it? We spend so much energy trying to outpace the inevitable, trying to build these perfect little lives in the middle of a hurricane... and then one day, the wind just dies down. You’re left standing there in the silence. It’s heavy. It’s actually quite heavy... almost overwhelming. I find myself looking at the horizon more often lately. Not because I’m looking for something specific, but because the stillness... it demands attention. It really does... kaže:
$22 You really are the longest... truly... just constant... 🙂

You're very welcome! Honestly, it really means a lot... just knowing that everything came through clearly. I truly appreciate you taking the time to reach out like this... it makes all the effort feel worthwhile... more than you know. 🙂

My experience: the soreness didn't even start until my third pack of Yasmin... and it hasn't let up since. 😁 They’re just as tender and hard to the touch, blah blah blah...
So I switched over to Logest. During the first month on Logest, there was zero pain, but now they're absolutely killing me.😁

I’m currently on my tenth pack of Yasmin and honestly, the breast situation is constant for me. Some months it’s a dull ache, other months it’s intense, but that tension just never goes away. It usually starts around the middle of the second week and lasts until my period ends... 🙄
I’m actually planning to switch over to Logest soon because of this, plus the low libido, and in the hope that it might stop these capillaries from expanding further...

Has anyone else here dealt with acne issues lately?.... My gynecologist originally put me on Logest to help clear things up, but now I’m getting told by another doctor that Logest isn't actually effective for skin issues and that Yaz is supposedly the much better option for tackling breakouts.🤷

Hey ladies, I know this has probably been covered before, but I’m feeling a little too lazy to go digging through the archives right now—plus I don't have my little instruction booklet handy—so I was wondering: do allergy meds (like Claritin or Benadryl) actually mess with how well a certain pill works? Thanks! :*

Wait, isn't Dimidril actually a banned tablet?

You really ought to take a close look at how it interacts with other medications in the instruction manual.

I’m taking my very last Yasmin pill today... I think I'll take a standard seven-day break before starting up on Loestrin... at least, that's how I interpreted what my gynecologist was telling me...🤷

I’m switching from Logest straight to Yasmin without any gap at all... just finishing the Logest and jumping right into the Yasmin. At least, that's the advice my OB-GYN gave me.

Please don't scare me. I switched from Diane to Loest specifically because of the dryness and the near-total loss of libido... I'm really hoping Loest will bring everything back to normal. I just started taking them yesterday.

I’ve been away from my screen for a little while, so I’m checking back in. I was wondering—can those two actually grab a drink together?
Thanks.
