redgardener5 said:Nah, just keep taking them normally. The only thing that's gonna happen is you'll probably finish your cycle a day early since you did 21 pills plus that extra one. Don't stress about it! 😉

haha okay thanks😁😁I was actually getting pretty worried because I couldn't find anything about it anywhere lol🤣

That sounds about right, though you might find your cycle arriving just a day earlier during your next break. 🙂
But please, don't let it worry you too much. 👍

So, I was on the pill for three long years—just a massive stretch of time, really. After about eighteen months, I decided to take a little break for a few months just to let my body reset and clear things out. I finally stopped taking them back in 2007, and honestly, looking back, I don't think I ever will again.
The side effects were... well, they were something else. My chest size jumped up two whole sizes! I went from being a solid B cup to rocking a D that’s practically pushing its way toward an DD. But the real kicker—the thing that truly sucked—was how they completely nuked my libido. It was like my sex drive just vanished into thin air. Ever since I kicked them to the curb, though? It’s been a total renaissance...
I mean, sure, they did help manage my cramps and kept the flow a bit lighter, which was nice at the time!

I started a thread about this, but since nobody replied, I figured I’d ask here instead. Has anyone else dealt with prolonged bleeding time (coagulation)? I’ve been on Diane-35 for four months now. I had some blood work done last week; everything came back normal, except my bleeding time was extended. Now I’m sitting here worrying that the pill might be the culprit.

I personally don't see much of an issue here, aside from the fact that they tend to tank your libido. 🤣

Does anyone happen to know if it’s actually possible to donate blood voluntarily while I'm on the pill?

From what I know, she’s basically a saint—she takes her pills and even donates blood!

It’s possible, but your blood work has to be absolutely spotless.

I honestly don't think I'll ever wrap my head around how little self-respect a woman needs to have to actually take these pills.

If you intend to be offensive, it’s best that you just exit this discussion.

And what about the level of self-respect a guy would need to undergo castration just so she wouldn't have to deal with the pills... maybe?

I mean, I guess castration might be the only thing for men that's even remotely comparable in terms of effectiveness—since let's face it, condoms or pulling out aren't exactly foolproof, mostly because half the people out there don't even know how to use a condom properly from the jump.

If you're a man—you'd probably consider it for someone you love, right?
If you're a woman—you'd look for a partner willing to go through that for you, wouldn't you?

Probably not, huh?
So, maybe you should stick to posting your "wisdom" on a thread dedicated to this, thanks anyway.

(Just a side note—this discussion is focused on birth control, not any other side effects, I guess. 😉 )

So, I went to see my OB-GYN to get some bloodwork done after being on Yasmin for several years straight (I’m on a break from them right now). I finally got the results back, and from what I can gather on my own, my blood sugar and cholesterol levels are both elevated. When I brought the report to him, he just brushed it off, telling me everything looked fine, nothing to worry about, and sent me on my way. Honestly, it felt like he didn't even want to talk about it. I’m heading to my primary care doctor today to get a second opinion because he left me with zero explanations, and now I'm looking at these numbers thinking, "Wait, could this actually be from the pills?" Has anyone else dealt with something like this before?

Elevated lipids? It’s quite possible it was from the medication. I actually ran into the exact same issue myself, so I'm taking a break from them now and plan to redo my labs in about a month.

First off, you really have to realize that there are women who absolutely HAVE to take birth control, and for most, it’s due to hormonal imbalances or menstrual cramps that are simply unbearable—for what it's worth, I know people dealing with pain so intense they regularly end up in the ER for Voltaren injections and tranquilizers just to get through their cycle.

Hi, I’m on Triquilar. I was supposed to start my eighth day with a new pack after my period, but I missed the first pill—I ended up taking it the next day at 2 PM... I had sex four days before that... what are the chances of pregnancy??

Look, man, just don't kick anything until you reach the bottom of the box. And honestly, there was no need to start an entire separate thread just for this. 😉

Quick question!!! Has anyone else noticed this weird sensation of numbness in certain parts of their body? And I mean literal numbness, almost like you’ve just been given local anesthesia. For me, my right hand goes numb, along with my lips, tongue, and even my palate... It’s incredibly uncomfortable, though it does seem to pass after a few minutes.

Please don't take this lightly... you really need to see a doctor immediately!!!!! 🙂

I really need some clarification on this:

So, my period started on Saturday evening, and I took my first contraceptive pill right at midnight (which technically makes it Sunday, but I was counting it as the dose from Saturday since it's my very first pack).
Moving forward, I plan to take all my pills at midnight because that’s just what works best for my schedule.

Does it actually matter that I took it at midnight, considering it hadn't quite been a full 24 hours since my period began? Or does that timing even play a role?

I'm a little worried that I might have messed things up right out of the gate...

Anyone??

I'm using Diane 35.🙄

Basically, is it an issue if I stick to taking them at midnight since that fits my routine? As long as I maintain the 24-hour gap between each dose, should I be fine?

You don't even have to wait 24 hours after your period starts. I took my first one on that exact same day! Like, I got my period in the evening, then took it that night...
