I agree. Deleting stuff is totally unnecessary when everyone else's reaction already makes it clear how they feel about that kind of language.
Does anyone seriously think someone's going to scroll back through the chat from May 14th between 12:30 and 6:35 PM, read all those illegal posts, and suddenly decide to become a racist themselves? Or think they're in some bigoted space and get encouraged to start typing like TNT? 🤔

The "undeniably" problematic posts weren't left up because we let them stay. They get deleted. Otherwise, they're gone.

If we aren't deleting posts, then along with the screenshots, it would be useful if moderators issued public warnings to the offenders—and to those jumping in with that same obnoxious tone. They need to shift the narrative of the discussion instead of just suffocating the thread. Since some people clearly haven't read the forum rules and common sense isn't exactly their strong suit...

In my opinion, the mods have a much tougher job here since it's hard to moderate things properly while keeping the actual vibe of the thread alive. Managing the chat is easy.🍿

Look, here is why mods actually exist:
- keeping the spam and off-topic nonsense under control
- stepping in when drama drags on too long and turns toxic or just plain boring
- giving you someone to report if some creep starts stalking you
- handing out bans for straight-up insults and nasty trolling

They aren't here to act like babysitters or moral police—that's what the people in the discussions are for.

I get that—of course more things are allowed now; the atmosphere is more casual, more conversational. My point was just that a mod should probably step in and say, "Alright, you've crossed the line, that's enough." Even in the chat, that kind of intervention was needed. Well, others reacted, so fine.
